Hi, I'm Jenn Petty. I'm a wedding photographer based in Monterey, California and I travel worldwide capturing all people's love stories. I believe in equality, representation, and being kind to everyone. I believe in promoting self-love, confidence, body-neutrality, and general badassery into each of my clients. You don't need to always love your body or the way you look because that's just not realistic. But you shouldn't let it hold you back from enjoying life because you're so amazing and so so much more than your weight

JeLau Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From the very first time we spoke, the owner Jen was so helpful, direct, and kind - making the entire process leading up to the big day smooth and stress-free. On the day itself, Jen kept me feeling calm and on schedule, and made every moment fun and enjoyable. The quality of their work is truly outstanding - the photos are absolutely beautiful and captured the perfection of our special day. Jen is an amazing person which makes her amazing to work with, and we are so grateful to have had her as our wedding photographer. We couldn't recommend JeLau Photography more highly!

Now, as a dedicated wedding and lifestyle photographer, I’m thrilled to capture the special moments that mean the most to you. I take pride in delivering high-quality photos and genuinely enjoy being part of your big day. Based in Aptos, I also serve the surrounding areas of the Monterey Bay region, and I’m always ready to travel wherever your love story takes us!

Deanna was truly the most amazing photographer for our wedding! Neither my husband nor I had ever taken professional photos before, and to be honest, we’re both pretty awkward and camera-shy. But from the moment we booked her, she made the whole experience feel effortless. She even offered an engagement session, which helped us get comfortable in front of the camera. By the end of it, we were blown away by how beautiful the photos turned out—far beyond what we had imagined! On the wedding day, Deanna was more than just a photographer; she was a calming presence amidst all the excitement and nerves. Her ability to guide us through poses felt so natural—never forced or uncomfortable. She has such an incredible eye for capturing genuine moments, and the photos reflect that in every frame. Deanna didn’t just document our wedding; she became a friend along the way. I can’t express how much we appreciate her talent, kindness, and professionalism. We’re already looking forward to working with her again for future milestones and photo sessions. Thank you, Deanna, for capturing our special day so perfectly—we couldn’t have asked for more!

Awarded Best of Zola
We had our wedding at Carmel Fields in December, and it was a beautiful day. At first, I had some hesitations about choosing Wedgewood because all inclusive sounds like it could be a bit cookie cutter, but I’m so glad we went with them. They allowed us to personalize so many elements, and their staff made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The Planning & Staff: We absolutely loved working with Alycia during the planning process leading up to the wedding. The whole team is so organized, responsive, and easy to work with. Every time I would email them with a question the answer was prompt and usually "Yes!". It made me feel so reassured and supported throughout. Despite a last-minute change to our day-of coordinator, the new coordinator we were paired with, Anahi, was fantastic and handled everything so well—so professional, sweet, and calming. She made everything run smoothly despite a timeline hiccup. Luis, our banquet manager, took over during the reception and I truly appreciated how attentive and organized he was. Flexibility & Customization: Wedgewood provided the structure of an all-inclusive venue, but they also allowed us the flexibility to bring in our own touches and vendors. I worked with their florist for the larger pieces (like our split ceremony arch and upgraded centerpieces) while also bringing in my own DIY florals for things like bridesmaid bouquets and bud vases. They were accommodating when it came to letting us customize certain elements, like our bar setup and décor, which helped us make the space feel like “us.” The Food: The appetizers during cocktail hour were a hit—guests really raved about them! I didn’t get as much feedback about the main plated meal, but our vendors mentioned they loved it. Personally, I didn’t get to eat much (even though I swore I’d be a bride who did!), and I felt the food was about what I expected for a wedding. Value for the Price: Carmel is a very high-cost area, and I feel like we got a great deal for what we paid. The venue is absolutely stunning, the weather was perfectly sunny for December. We did the elite package and got upgraded chairs, top shelf liquor, a plated meal - Wedgewood's packages allowed us to have a beautiful, elevated wedding without breaking the bank. Final Thoughts: The team we worked with went above and beyond to ensure everything came together flawlessly. If you’re looking for a venue that simplifies the planning process while still allowing room for personal touches, I highly recommend!

Brothers Ranch
Rating: 5.0 (22 reviews)
Watsonville, CA
  • Venue
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Raw space
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $9,000

Spread over 25 acres of gardens, The Brothers Ranch features palms, tropical flowers, and bamboo that helps transport couples and their guests to another place. This lush landscape serves to enhance a couple’s wedding theme and is complete with a refurbished courtyard and barn. The Brothers Ranch has multiple ceremony and reception areas to choose from, both inside and out. In addition, there is a bar, full kitchen, and designated dressing rooms, along with the sensory-indulging gardens. Up to 400 people can gather at this venue. Soon-to-be-weds can choose their own caterer to be approved by the ranch, allowing the pair to customize their day to their tastes and preferences. Parking is available, with overflow as well. There is only one event planned per day, and the couple has the day before and after the event for setting and cleaning up. The staff is eager to help couples achieve the wedding day they have always wanted!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor for celebration
  • Unique barn setting
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
My husband and I decided to get married At Brothers Ranch this last June for multiple reasons : Venue: the venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The ranch is surrounded by tall bamboo and tropical florals/plants, making you feel like you’re somewhere in the tropics. We held our ceremony in the garden and had our reception in a modernized indoor/outdoor area that was alongside the garden area. There’s a beautiful encircled area in the bamboo garden where couples do first looks. Very intimate. The venue was spacious enough to occupy all of our guests and had room to spread out all events between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself so ideally you don’t need much decoration. Flexibility: We booked the venue for the entire weekend Friday- Sunday, which was very helpful as we didn’t feel rushed getting items to and from venue before and even after the wedding. We were able to set up and drop off most items on Friday and had time for rehearsal & had the luxury of picking everything up on Sunday so we weren’t rushed the night of our wedding. Most venues have required vendors however here at brothers ranch we were provided a list of preferred vendors however had the option of selecting our own vendors, with owners review. Owners: being able to work with the owners directly really sold us. Both Jonathan and Jessie are so kind, humble, and truly great individuals. From the very beginning, they both were very attentive to all questions, tours, and assistance as much as possible. I really respected how they wanted to ideally assist and make things as smooth as possible so truly all you have to do is enjoy your wedding day (allowing Friday and Sunday to prep and clean up). All in all we highly recommend both The Brothers Ranch as a venue for any event (especially weddings) and working with Jonathan and Jessie. You will not be disappointed as both the venue and couple truly made my wedding dreams come to life

Welcome. Karla has been an artist for as long as she has been alive. It all started when she was in preschool and thought that painting another pre-school student with paint was fun. Unfortunately, she got sent home that day, but the artist in her was born! Working with flowers, and making events beautiful for her clients, has provided Karla with an outlet that is very fulfilling for her. It creates a balance, and zen for her, which fills, balances, and feeds her soul.

Event’s With Jules

  • Offers 4 services
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Soledad, CA

Jules has an affinity for nostalgia, Design and a good party. with a background in art and design, she loves lots of color and loves a design challenge. She’s an instinctive connector who loves to bring people together in and out of her professional life, and that led her to event planning. When she’s not planning an epic event you can find her on an Adventure with her husband and daughter or at an estate sale in the Bay Area. she loves hunting for treasures, jumping into water and is a dancing queen

I put so much care, hope, and, admittedly, pressure on Jules and her team to deliver the day-of coordination for our wedding, and she did not disappoint. Throughout the planning process, Jules was a constant source of calm. She was always willing to step in when needed, a great person to bounce ideas off of, and incredibly honest about what was realistic in terms of time and scope. I am a very detail-oriented person and handed over a 21-page PDF covering styling, seating, scheduling, inventory, and approximately a million other details (truly over the top!), and Jules executed everything to the highest degree. She took all of those details seriously while also being honest with me about what was and wasn’t possible. When the scope of work changed, she was transparent and communicative, and we were able to bring on additional assistants to make sure everything got done. Most importantly, Jules gave me the ability to actually relax and enjoy my wedding day. I knew I was in good hands, and I was able to be fully present and enjoy every minute instead of worrying about logistics. She went above and beyond in every way, and I truly could not recommend Jules and her team more highly!

Autumn was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Her proposal was incredibly professional, and she was so easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. The setting is spectacular. We had 80 guests who came from all over and we had a beautiful October evening wedding. We were married in the driveway overlooking the San Juan Valley and Gablan Mountains, had our reception in the courtyard, and dinner by the pool. We brought in our own vendors (caterers, dj, photographer, florist) and MVR was very accommodating - always there to help, but not in the way. Our guests really enjoyed the town of San Juan and access to the Monterey Penninsula. We made a weekend of it! Best day ever.

Event By Dawn

At Event by Dawn, I’ve spent over 10 years helping couples bring their wedding dreams to life. I’m here to guide you through the planning process, making it as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I love working closely with you to create a day that reflects your unique vision, and I’m happy to tailor my packages to fit your budget and needs. From start to finish, I’ll ensure your wedding day is seamless, personal, and unforgettable.

Dawn was so incredibly wonderful for our 10-23-2025 wedding at Waterfall Lodge! We booked her a year and a half in advance and from the moment we booked with her, she was available and responsive. She worked with our schedules and took some of the wedding planning stress off of us. She even helped with recommendations on ways to save some money and utilize all vendors to our full potential. That’s just the planning part of it. Let’s get to the wedding day. From the very start of the rehearsal to the very end of the wedding day, Dawn was incredible. We had a crazy amount of extra people show up to the rehearsal itself who were not needed, but she guided everyone on where they needed to be despite all the extra commotion of extra family members wanting to be involved. The night before the wedding I went through all of my decorations and things that I had spent a lot of time crafting and creating with her and I just kind of spouted everything out all at once. Was I a little worried that she was just committing it all to memory and that my vision might not come to life? Yep. Should I have been worried? Not at all. She executed the vision I had with every little detail included to a tee. Seriously, she kept everything going smoothly. It all looked better than I had pictured it and I was in awe of her ability to keep things running so smoothly with so many different vendors. If there were things that went wrong, I have no idea because she not once gave me an inkling of any stress or anything. We even had a guest comment on how seamlessly she worked into the event. My favorite part of the day with Dawn comes to when we finally made it into dinner. We had ordered Chilis chips and salsa for cocktail hour as that’s where we met. At one point, Dawn came over with one whole bowl of chips and salsa (and sour cream because that’s my favorite) and plopped it onto our sweethearts table. It’s just all the small details that she took care of. It was one of my favorite parts of the day because it was so us. She was absolutely crucial in the best day of our lives and I cannot recommend her more. Thanks again for everything Dawn!

I had read in a wedding magazine that you should hire a photographer who feels like a friend so that you are happy they are there on the day. Danieka met me for coffee in Monterey before we signed our contract and she was SO nice. Once we signed the contract, she started to send me recommendations for other vendors, suggested wedding timelines, and little pieces of advice she had picked up from other weddings (not too often - just 3-4 really informative emails throughout the year that we were planning and she was really responsive if I had questions). On the wedding day, she was prompt, really kind and struck an incredible balance between making sure that we had the pictures we wanted, but also that we were able to enjoy the day and not spend too much time taking pictures. I felt so happy she was there. Now, one week after our wedding, with just the pictures to look back on, we are SO happy that we booked her.

Mischa was the ultimate support as we prepared for our wedding. She helped us get really clear on what we wanted our wedding (and the days leading up to it) to be like, and what our priorities were. Paige A does an amazing job managing vendors (multiple of them came up to us after the wedding to tell us how much they liked working with her, and how great of a communicator she was) and ensuring that you can really relax and enjoy your wedding rather than worrying about logistical details. Our wedding had the additional challenge of being in an area with no cell reception (Big Sur) and Paige A did an amazing job managing logistics in this challenging environment, including arranging shuttles to transport 100 people for multiple events. It’s clear to see that Paige A is great at her job and that she also enjoys the process. If you’re looking for someone to help execute your wedding vision, look no further!

And in case my review isn't enough to help you make your decision, here are some actual quotes from our wedding party when we shares the online album: "They took sooo many too like this is the most comprehensive wedding album I’ve ever seen” and “I can’t believe how good this is” and “This looks like it’s straight out of a movie scene ”

How to tell you about me in a short paragraph? Ok, here we go - born & raised in Australia, recently American. Currently Aus-Merican. Wife to Spencer (2016), Mum/Mom to Reed (2020), and Milo (2023).  Big fan of a latte in the morning and a French75 on special occasions. An avid listener of audiobooks, podcasts, Taylor Swift, my 'Theatre Mix' playlist on Spotify, and early 2000's pop and, occasionally, 2010's emo. A repeat watcher of Bridgerton, New Girl, The Good Place, The Righteous Gemstones, VEEP, & Ted Lasso.

Claire played such a big role in our perfect wedding day. We planned a simple DIY wedding with minimal decor. She was so helpful from our first consultation call. There were things we didn't know to consider or how to find, and she was so willing to offer recommendations and suggestions. Closer to the wedding, she managed our vendor communications and big day timeline. She is honest, organized, innovative, and so thorough. One of the letters on our Mr & Mrs sign broke and she glued a cute tiny bow over the letter with eyelash glue! We appreciated Claire so much. On top of managing our timeline, wedding party, family, hired staff, last minute changes, and very drunk people, she truly prioritized what we (the bride and groom) valued. Also, she protected our peace during the whole day and kept us safe throughout the night. We could not have done our wedding without Claire and truly recommend her to everyone!

Hi, I'm Melina, a wedding photographer with a passion for storytelling through both editorial elegance and genuine, candid moments. With a background in event planning, I bring a unique blend of creative vision and logistical insight to every wedding I photograph.

Working with Melina was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Beyond her incredible talent, she has a rare gift for reading the energy of a room. On a day that can feel like a whirlwind, she was my anchor; she instinctively knew exactly when I needed a quiet moment to reflect and helped me stay grounded and calm. The photos themselves are breathtaking. She didn't just capture us; she captured the spirit of our guests and the genuine joy of the entire day. She even waded into the river, getting her feet wet without a second thought, just to get the perfect shot. If you want a photographer who is as dedicated to your peace of mind as she is to her craft, look no further!

Hi, I’m Sabine—the heart behind Regular Sweetheart Images. I’m a Santa Cruz-based photographer with a love for weddings, vintage vibes, and real, heartfelt moments. Inspired by the beauty of the coast (hello, Big Sur, Carmel & Monterey!), I capture love stories with a warm, nostalgic touch. Let’s make something beautiful together.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I were looking to have a small elopement at City Hall in SF. If you know, you know- it’s a beautiful building with a ton of epic photo opportunities but difficult to navigate being a public space with a lot of other people walking around (and getting married). We ended up navigating it quite seamlessly angling everything perfectly to make it appear as if we were the only ones there for every photo. She did not hesitate to step in and direct, which was very helpful. Our wedding took place in October and our color scheme was a moody fall pallet- Sabine made sure the tones of the photos matched this and definitely gave a special vibe that enhanced the photos in the perfect way. Long story short, I told Sabine everything about our vision for our photos and she did not disappoint. Sabine was so great, and I would recommend her to any couple looking to get married no matter what the style of their wedding is.

Stunningly beautiful is the only description for the gorgeous bouquet Spygoat Farms delivered to us for our granddaughter's college graduation party last June. She was thrilled to receive this fabulous gift. At the last minute when we couldn't pick up the bouquet, Spy Goat Farm responded so generously by driving 30 miles to ensure the safe arrival of our flowers. We strongly recommend Spy Goat Farms for always delivering spectacular product beyond the norm for floral arrangements of all kinds.
