If you’re looking for a wedding that you will remember forever, I highly recommend booking with Carmel Fields by Wedgewood. The reception space was absolutely amazing—spacious, stylish, and perfect for a celebration. The staff made sure we felt comfortable and promptly addressed any issues or questions we had. My wife and I want to give a special shoutout to our main coordinator Alycia! She was truly amazing and it was a perfect day thanks to her. With her attention to detail and sharing our vision. We also want to thank Anahi and Angie and everyone who made our special day truly magical. They were incredibly friendly, well-coordinated, and organized. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to enjoy the night without a single worry. This made the day feel stress-free for everyone and allowed us to relax and watch all our family and friends enjoy the wedding—whether it was on the dance floor or at the bar enjoying drinks! There are so many great things we could say about this place, but I’ll simply let the reviews speak for themselves! My wife and I had an excellent experience. The rooms, including the bridal suite and groom’s suite, were beautifully set up, the food was delicious, the bar had amazing drinks and their vendors made the planning process effortless. We truly appreciated how the coordinators and vendors made everything so easy and stress-free. We are so glad that we chose a Wedgewood location! It was such a wonderful day, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Love, David & Cristal 02.22.25

Brothers Ranch
Rating: 5.0 (20 reviews)
Watsonville, CA
  • Venue
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Raw space
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $9,000

Spread over 25 acres of gardens, The Brothers Ranch features palms, tropical flowers, and bamboo that helps transport couples and their guests to another place. This lush landscape serves to enhance a couple’s wedding theme and is complete with a refurbished courtyard and barn. The Brothers Ranch has multiple ceremony and reception areas to choose from, both inside and out. In addition, there is a bar, full kitchen, and designated dressing rooms, along with the sensory-indulging gardens. Up to 400 people can gather at this venue. Soon-to-be-weds can choose their own caterer to be approved by the ranch, allowing the pair to customize their day to their tastes and preferences. Parking is available, with overflow as well. There is only one event planned per day, and the couple has the day before and after the event for setting and cleaning up. The staff is eager to help couples achieve the wedding day they have always wanted!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor for celebration
  • Unique barn setting
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
My husband and I decided to get married At Brothers Ranch this last June for multiple reasons : Venue: the venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The ranch is surrounded by tall bamboo and tropical florals/plants, making you feel like you’re somewhere in the tropics. We held our ceremony in the garden and had our reception in a modernized indoor/outdoor area that was alongside the garden area. There’s a beautiful encircled area in the bamboo garden where couples do first looks. Very intimate. The venue was spacious enough to occupy all of our guests and had room to spread out all events between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself so ideally you don’t need much decoration. Flexibility: We booked the venue for the entire weekend Friday- Sunday, which was very helpful as we didn’t feel rushed getting items to and from venue before and even after the wedding. We were able to set up and drop off most items on Friday and had time for rehearsal & had the luxury of picking everything up on Sunday so we weren’t rushed the night of our wedding. Most venues have required vendors however here at brothers ranch we were provided a list of preferred vendors however had the option of selecting our own vendors, with owners review. Owners: being able to work with the owners directly really sold us. Both Jonathan and Jessie are so kind, humble, and truly great individuals. From the very beginning, they both were very attentive to all questions, tours, and assistance as much as possible. I really respected how they wanted to ideally assist and make things as smooth as possible so truly all you have to do is enjoy your wedding day (allowing Friday and Sunday to prep and clean up). All in all we highly recommend both The Brothers Ranch as a venue for any event (especially weddings) and working with Jonathan and Jessie. You will not be disappointed as both the venue and couple truly made my wedding dreams come to life

I've been a HMUA for a little over 14 years, worked in the big city (LA) and now back in my hometown raising our 2 littles doing what I love most! I've worked all over the industry! I'm a licensed esthetician and really have found my happy place here with all my beautiful brides! I still love working on sets, all sorts of events but there's just something about being there for someone on their big day that never gets old. I've been a bride myself and can attest to the overwhelming mix of emotions that come with planning such an important day. SO I'm here to ease a bit of that for you as your day of artist! xoxo Amanda

Amanda did my bridal makeup on my wedding day. We did a trial together and I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, only that I wanted to look like an elevated version of my everyday self. She guided me seamlessly through the process until we landed on the look. Then, day of, she executed what we decided on during the trial beautifully. And stayed on schedule. Also, genuinely a nice person and made me feel super comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

DJ Shazaam was incredible and absolutely made this event. He DJ’d a kids-and-parents Minecraft rave birthday party and created the perfect balance of fun for both children and adults. The dance floor was full the entire time. His mixes and mashups were playful, high energy, and age appropriate, and his professional setup sounded great in our dome space. He has a fantastic personality and was a joy to work with. I highly recommend him for kids parties, family events, and community celebrations where you want everyone dancing together.

Event By Dawn
Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
  • Planner
  • Offers 2 services
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Soledad, CA

At Event by Dawn, I’ve spent over 10 years helping couples bring their wedding dreams to life. I’m here to guide you through the planning process, making it as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I love working closely with you to create a day that reflects your unique vision, and I’m happy to tailor my packages to fit your budget and needs. From start to finish, I’ll ensure your wedding day is seamless, personal, and unforgettable.

Dawn was so incredibly wonderful for our 10-23-2025 wedding at Waterfall Lodge! We booked her a year and a half in advance and from the moment we booked with her, she was available and responsive. She worked with our schedules and took some of the wedding planning stress off of us. She even helped with recommendations on ways to save some money and utilize all vendors to our full potential. That’s just the planning part of it. Let’s get to the wedding day. From the very start of the rehearsal to the very end of the wedding day, Dawn was incredible. We had a crazy amount of extra people show up to the rehearsal itself who were not needed, but she guided everyone on where they needed to be despite all the extra commotion of extra family members wanting to be involved. The night before the wedding I went through all of my decorations and things that I had spent a lot of time crafting and creating with her and I just kind of spouted everything out all at once. Was I a little worried that she was just committing it all to memory and that my vision might not come to life? Yep. Should I have been worried? Not at all. She executed the vision I had with every little detail included to a tee. Seriously, she kept everything going smoothly. It all looked better than I had pictured it and I was in awe of her ability to keep things running so smoothly with so many different vendors. If there were things that went wrong, I have no idea because she not once gave me an inkling of any stress or anything. We even had a guest comment on how seamlessly she worked into the event. My favorite part of the day with Dawn comes to when we finally made it into dinner. We had ordered Chilis chips and salsa for cocktail hour as that’s where we met. At one point, Dawn came over with one whole bowl of chips and salsa (and sour cream because that’s my favorite) and plopped it onto our sweethearts table. It’s just all the small details that she took care of. It was one of my favorite parts of the day because it was so us. She was absolutely crucial in the best day of our lives and I cannot recommend her more. Thanks again for everything Dawn!

They are incredibly organized, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process. They always made sure my opinions were heard and offered thoughtful options that perfectly matched my vision. My wedding had 300 guests, and even with that many people, the day felt completely seamless. I’m someone who usually worries about timelines, but I didn’t have to think twice about where I needed to be or what was happening next — they were always two steps ahead, anticipating every detail. Their vendor recommendations were spot-on, and every Zoom call with the team was a joy. They genuinely listened, made me feel heard, and always left me laughing by the end of each meeting. As organized as I am, I truly don’t think my wedding would have come together anywhere near as perfectly without them. Mission Vineyard Ranch is a family-owned wedding and event space where elegance and intimacy meet California beauty and history. Located on a working ranch in San Juan Bautista, we are just 40 minutes south of San Jose, 30 minutes east of the coastal towns of Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, and on the doorstep of a historic Mission town, a wine trail, and an array of outdoor recreation areas.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Venue is completely outdoors
  • Has a sophisticated vibe

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • No on-site guest accommodations
The setting is spectacular. We had 80 guests who came from all over and we had a beautiful October evening wedding. We were married in the driveway overlooking the San Juan Valley and Gablan Mountains, had our reception in the courtyard, and dinner by the pool. We brought in our own vendors (caterers, dj, photographer, florist) and MVR was very accommodating - always there to help, but not in the way. Our guests really enjoyed the town of San Juan and access to the Monterey Penninsula. We made a weekend of it! Best day ever.

Hi, I’m Sabine—the heart behind Regular Sweetheart Images. I’m a Santa Cruz-based photographer with a love for weddings, vintage vibes, and real, heartfelt moments. Inspired by the beauty of the coast (hello, Big Sur, Carmel & Monterey!), I capture love stories with a warm, nostalgic touch. Let’s make something beautiful together.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I were looking to have a small elopement at City Hall in SF. If you know, you know- it’s a beautiful building with a ton of epic photo opportunities but difficult to navigate being a public space with a lot of other people walking around (and getting married). We ended up navigating it quite seamlessly angling everything perfectly to make it appear as if we were the only ones there for every photo. She did not hesitate to step in and direct, which was very helpful. Our wedding took place in October and our color scheme was a moody fall pallet- Sabine made sure the tones of the photos matched this and definitely gave a special vibe that enhanced the photos in the perfect way. Long story short, I told Sabine everything about our vision for our photos and she did not disappoint. Sabine was so great, and I would recommend her to any couple looking to get married no matter what the style of their wedding is.

How to tell you about me in a short paragraph? Ok, here we go - born & raised in Australia, recently American. Currently Aus-Merican. Wife to Spencer (2016), Mum/Mom to Reed (2020), and Milo (2023).  Big fan of a latte in the morning and a French75 on special occasions. An avid listener of audiobooks, podcasts, Taylor Swift, my 'Theatre Mix' playlist on Spotify, and early 2000's pop and, occasionally, 2010's emo. A repeat watcher of Bridgerton, New Girl, The Good Place, The Righteous Gemstones, VEEP, & Ted Lasso.

Awarded Best of Zola
Claire played such a big role in our perfect wedding day. We planned a simple DIY wedding with minimal decor. She was so helpful from our first consultation call. There were things we didn't know to consider or how to find, and she was so willing to offer recommendations and suggestions. Closer to the wedding, she managed our vendor communications and big day timeline. She is honest, organized, innovative, and so thorough. One of the letters on our Mr & Mrs sign broke and she glued a cute tiny bow over the letter with eyelash glue! We appreciated Claire so much. On top of managing our timeline, wedding party, family, hired staff, last minute changes, and very drunk people, she truly prioritized what we (the bride and groom) valued. Also, she protected our peace during the whole day and kept us safe throughout the night. We could not have done our wedding without Claire and truly recommend her to everyone!

I have a visceral reaction every time I witness love and true connection. It’s the electric feeling you get when you’re part of something that’s happening in the present moment. Being able to document that truly brings me to life. I pair best with couples who seek a documentary style and give me their trust to capture their moments. Your wedding day is not a performance. It’s about you, your big love, real life, and your closest people. The quiet moments, the loud ones, and all the in between . I document just that, in a photojournalist meets editorial kind of way that tells the story of your unique love.

Words cannot begin to describe how incredibly happy we are to have had Onawa capture our wedding day! Not only is she incredibly talented as an artist at capturing the best moments, but everyone (not just me and my husband, but all of the guests!) had so much fun with her and felt so natural around her! The photos truly captured our best day in the best way. Looking through them all, it feels like we are reliving it all over again. From our first conversation almost a year out from our wedding, to the weeks following it, Onawa communicated with us every step of the way (even welcoming us home from our honeymoon!). She is beyond talented and we absolutely could not be happier with our photos that we will cherish forever.

I've been photographing weddings for over ten years and I love it even more than when I started. I consider it an honor to be there for so many special moments in people's lives and find something unique and new with every wedding day. I am punctual, flexible, and attentive, helping to bring a calm and focused vibe to your wedding day.

Maria brings such a warm, curious, and intentional energy to every interaction. She never just went through the motions, but genuinely got to know us, our story, and what mattered most for our day. Maria has this rare ability to be both incredibly professional and wonderfully down-to-earth. She's witty, fun, and refreshingly direct in the best way. She has great ideas and still kept us on track without ever making anything feel stressful. Every meeting felt productive and efficient, yet still personal and full of joy. We always felt heard, supported, and excited about the process. Her work is just stunning. The images we’ve seen so far are fresh, vibrant, and full of life and already feel like timeless memories we’ll treasure forever. She captured not only the beauty of the day but the emotion behind it, and I truly can’t wait to see the rest! Maria is more than just a photographer. She is a natural, a calming presence, and an absolute professional. We feel incredibly lucky to have had her document our wedding

Laurel Thomsen - Solo Violin, Duos, Trios, Quartets
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Ceremony only
  • Serves Soledad, CA

Since 1998, violinist/violist Laurel Thomsen and her colleagues have provided sweet, soulful, and sassy music for events and venues around her home base on the California Central Coast (Monterey, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, etc.) and the San Francisco Bay Area, including weddings, cocktail hours and receptions, marriage proposals, memorials, art gallery openings, parties, corporate or holiday/themed events, and house concerts. Laurel's event repertoire features diverse genres and can be performed on solo violin or accompanied by a variety of duo, trio, or ensemble configurations. We look forward to helping make your event a success!

Laurel was communicative and worked with me patiently too book a date while we were still looking for a venue! We knew we wanted this violin and guitar duo right away. They had a great repertoire of songs, including some newer contemporary Christian songs which we built our ceremony with! Thank you for being nice and professional.

I've never been much for tradition, so you can imagine weddings were never really my "thing" when I first picked up a camera. Luckily, I found that the wedding industry has been evolving away from the old cookie-cutter format and that is what keeps me doing what I do. My favorite weddings are the ones where you & your partner's personalities show throughout the day rather than getting lost in all the things you "have" to do. I love being part of a day filled with so much love & excitement and what I aim to do is find you in all of it. Because weddings aren't about fitting into a mold anymore - they're about you getting to celebrate your love.

In our search for a wedding photographer, Sarah's artistic style caught my eye right away. She offers a blended service of candid and semi-posed photographs which matched how we hoped to capture our wedding day moments. From our first phone call and in-person consultation, Sarah put us at ease. She helped organize our style preferences and 'must-capture' moments as we planned for the wedding. Her questionnaire helped bring focus in the planning phase and on the wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. I highly recommend Sarah's services, she has an eye for the little details you want to remember and she was discrete during the ceremony and reception while snapping candids (which I appreciated as someone who gets nervous in front of a camera!). We are so pleased with our photos and had a great time working together with Sarah.
