I've been a HMUA for a little over 14 years, worked in the big city (LA) and now back in my hometown raising our 2 littles doing what I love most! I've worked all over the industry! I'm a licensed esthetician and really have found my happy place here with all my beautiful brides! I still love working on sets, all sorts of events but there's just something about being there for someone on their big day that never gets old. I've been a bride myself and can attest to the overwhelming mix of emotions that come with planning such an important day. Yes! I love it. I am located in Monterey County and primarily service the surrounding areas but I am always open to travel and destinations weddings!
This is a big one! Here's a few reasons why. Bridals take bit more time, not just on the day of but leading up to. Bridal pricing incorporates all the communication and support that goes on behind the scenes with all your other vendors for that day. I'm making timelines, emailing with vendors on multiple occasions and on full virtual support to you leading up to your day! While that's just a piece of it I also take a bit longer consulting with you on the day of and days leading up to. More time spent on application & the amount of work to assure your overall look is exactly as you envisioned it. Our presence sets the mood for your entire day!
I carry so many different brands and products! I tend to carry brands such as Dior, Laura Mercer, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Face Atelier, Patrick Ta, Makeup by Mario, Nars and so many more! I believe all classes of makeup are good makeup. However, I like to carry brands that I love and I know will work because on your special day quality is also key!
Love elopements! Elopements are typically during the week or off season and I do not require a service minimum for them however, I do require. price minimum. Pease reach out for more information.
As soon as possible! If you are 100% sure about any of your vendors please book them as soon as you know they are a great fit! Once you have all the logistics like date and location set book whoever is important to you right away! Monterey county and its surrounding areas are SOOOOO popular for both local and destination wedges that so many vendors book out so fast. I see so many brides scrambling to find vendors that are at the very least available too close to their date.

    Perfect Hair & Makeup for Outdoor Elopement

    Amanda was amazing to work with for my elopement hair and makeup in Carmel. She was responsive, kind, and helped me figure out a look that would both photograph well and hold up outdoors at Garrapata State Park. She was also easy and fun to talk to, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. She checked in throughout and adjusted things based on my feedback. My hair and makeup turned out exactly how I wanted. My hair stayed secure through the wind and veil, and my makeup still looked great at midnight. I felt so comfortable and confident, which helped me just be present and soak the day in. I highly recommend Amanda!

    Flawless Hair and Makeup!

    I cannot applaud Amanda enough for the incredible work she did for my October wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Amanda is the ultimate professional—she arrived with high-end products and a wealth of experience that immediately put us at ease. My mom, my sister (MOH), and I did a hair trial with her a month before the wedding, and we were so impressed by her friendly, calm demeanor and her skill that we decided to add on makeup services for the big day without even doing a makeup trial. It was the best decision! Both the hair and makeup turned out excellent. Amanda was so conversational throughout the process, checking in constantly to ensure the hair was exactly as we remembered and that the makeup was perfect. She made us feel beautiful and confident. I highly recommend her for any special moment!"

    Flawless HMU and fun energy

    Amanda did my makeup and her colleague Laura did my hair for my wedding. Right when I booked her I knew I made the right choice. She put me at ease with her relaxed demeanor and was able to answer every question I had. I didn’t end up liking the style I chose for my hair during my trial and she helped me select a different style that would better suit my preferences. I had a bit of a spray tan mishap on the day of the wedding which I was very concerned about and she was able to cover it up and take away the pent up stress from it. I have never felt more beautiful with the flawless makeup and hair. Her and Laura were fun to hang out with the morning of the wedding and she is able to easily read different relationships and any challenges that come with them. Highly recommend booking Amanda!!

    Beautiful Makeup/Made Me Feel Comfy

    Amanda Jenelle Makeup and Hair was an absolute delight to work with for my wedding day. From the very first interaction, Amanda was incredibly responsive, friendly, and a great communicator. Amanda Team, made the process of getting ready for my big day feel peaceful and stress-free. Amanda listened closely to my vision for a natural, glowy makeup look and executed it flawlessly. I loved how she made me feel comfortable, even though I don't typically wear a lot of makeup. I was so impressed with the makeup staying put through the day, I’m an oily girl and was scared it would melt off but it lasted all night. Likewise, with hair, Amanda listened to my idea for my updo and it came out great and held through the night of dancing. The team was so accommodating and considerate, ensuring my mother, sister, and sisters in law, including myself feel beautiful and ready for wedding day.     Bridal Makeup

    Amanda did my bridal makeup on my wedding day. We did a trial together and I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, only that I wanted to look like an elevated version of my everyday self. She guided me seamlessly through the process until we landed on the look. Then, day of, she executed what we decided on during the trial beautifully. And stayed on schedule. Also, genuinely a nice person and made me feel super comfortable. 10/10 recommend!
