Hi, I’m Grant, the photographer behind NarBear. The name? I love narwhals and bears. A very scientific branding process. I photograph weddings in Monterey, Carmel, San Jose, San Francisco, and San Luis Obispo. My style is timeless, romantic, and natural—with enough direction to make you look incredible without turning your wedding into a photoshoot. I personally edit every delivered image. No batch processing or cookie-cutter presets. Just real moments, beautiful light, and photographs you’ll love decades from now.     Couldn't be happier

It's an opportunity to get comfortable in front of my camera, have some fun, and get to know each other before your wedding. Plus, you'll walk away with some pretty incredible coastal photographs.
You're describing about 90% of my couples! Don't worry, I've got you. I'll provide natural direction when needed, help you feel comfortable, and make sure nothing feels overly staged. You don't need to know how to pose. That's my job. Your job is to enjoy each other and occasionally pretend I'm not there.
Absolutely! I photograph weddings throughout California, including Monterey, Carmel, San Jose, San Francisco, and San Luis Obispo. My wedding experience starts at $4,000 in my designated Bay Area region, including Monterey County, and $5,000 elsewhere in California. Same exceptional experience, regardless of location.
Easy! Once we've talked about your wedding and you're ready to move forward, I'll send over your photography agreement. A signed contract and a booking deposit officially reserve your date and payment plans are available. The final $500 remaining balance isn't due until your final wedding photographs are delivered.
Of course! Your finished photographs are delivered in high resolution with personal printing rights. Print them, frame them, make an album, or turn your favorite into a giant canvas for your living room. They're your memories, and you shouldn't have to pay me again every time you want to enjoy them.
Some of my favorite photographs have happened when Mother Nature decided to improvise! I'll help plan alternative locations, adjust our photography timeline, and work with whatever conditions the day brings. Rain, fog, wind, or sunshine—we'll make the most of it.
