“Ryan went above and beyond as our DJ. He helped organize the craziness of dinner before killing it on the table. The majority of our guests (we had a lot) either didn’t leave the dance floor or kept coming back! As the bride I only left to cool off then right back out to the best dancing songs he was playing. He narrated our guys vs girls flip cup game and even judged (girls won by default). All around an amazing job and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a fun DJ who isn’t afraid to lend a hand and help get the job done, even if it’s a bit out of his job description. Thank you!”

“Ryan was truly the whole package. When we were originally pricing out DJs for our wedding, we were a little shocked by how much they are. However, music is very important to both of us, and we had heard enough negative stories from friends and acquaintances that we knew it was important to find a quality DJ. Ryan was recommended to us by an old classmate, and from our first meeting we knew we wanted him to do our wedding. Ryan is so personable, so attentive, and he makes you feel like you're the only/most important wedding he's doing (while still exuding confidence and experience). We had a great many long Zoom calls with Ryan (we were planning our wedding from across the country) and he thought of things we would never have thought of in a million years. As a true professional, he made sure we felt confident, prepared, and excited leading up to our wedding day. “Jenn and Meg work so well as a team. We wanted the Dancing On A Cloud effect for our first dance and oh my gosh… it’s so gorgeous!!! The dance lights and effects were out of this world, along with their DJ skills. The dance floor was packed. We even opted for the fog machine for the reception and everyone loved it. They even helped us create our playlist for the night since it was a bit overwhelming! Everything sounded amazing!!!! They arrived on time and every moment was made seamless. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

“In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”

“Lucas knows his stuff but also makes a point to know your stuff just as well. He sees the big picture of your wedding day and is beyond generous with his knowledge. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to schedule time with him leading up to the wedding. We had several video calls and he was always calm and confident as we dished him all the stress we could manage. He knew just what to say to ease our tensions with any part of the process and was helpful on all fronts, not just the music. Imagine a young Rick Rubin who’s going to make your day happen through fierce professionalism and calming holistic approach. Day of, Lucas was there early and making sure all the gear was working and problem solving on the scene to make the experience even better than we had talked about. He was able to not only have the music playing through the two large speakers we had planned for outside, but also got it seemlessly hooked up to the speakers throughout the interior space. This was key, because we had to last minute move the whole wedding inside due to rain. It was priceless to see see Lucas problem solving all of that with plenty of time to spare because I had so many other things to worry about with the shifting rain plans. I knew I didn’t have to worry about that whole part of it though, and the quality of the sound throughout the day really smoothed over all of the last minute adjustments and helped make everything feel like it was all part of the plan. It was a perfect day beyond my wildest expectations, and Lucas Walters was a huge part of that.”
