The rawness of emotion & human connection is what drew me into wedding and portrait photography. I am a storyteller and celebrater for the lighthearted and crazy in love. One of my favorite facts about my style is that I created my own preset from scratch, and that each photo receives the dedicated time it takes to ensure that its final version is its best. The result is beautiful, sentimental photos that preserve meaningful and true-to-life moments.

Weddings are my passion, it's not the decor, or the outfits, it's the pure LOVE between my couples. I grew up in a divided home, literally. Splitting time between my parents after their divorce, often being in the middle of their fighting, made me grow into a very empathetic person. It’s become the biggest strength I take with me into wedding days. My documentary style stems from my ability to sense when special moments are about to happen. I am able to sense emotions that aren’t necessarily visible, sense when to come close and when to be a fly-on-the-wall, and sense what/who is important to you therefore important to photograph.

I am a native of the south (I grew up in Alabama) and I moved to Kansas City in 2012. I studied photography at Austin Peay University and started W the Studio in 2009 (which is the same year that my “tinybff” Luke was born).
