I started my career going to events with my father, also a DJ, in the 1980s. While spending countless hours being an assistant DJ, I realized that I had found my calling in this world. Our events average around four hours, usually only ending because of facility limitations or exhaustion from dancing all night. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up.
