Fortunately for me, I’ve worked in the service industry for over a decade and have seen my fair share of DJs and bands. This is how I met Paul. I always loved when he played at the bar I worked at because his sets were never the same—he read the room, kept the energy high, and was always amazing at it. I’ve also attended weddings where he DJ’d and MC’d, and those were the ones where I had the most fun. So, I was over the moon when I reached out and found out he was available for my wedding. I booked him immediately. Paul has been in the entertainment business for quite some time and offers more than just music. With options like customizable monogram/logo projections, a standalone or 360 photobooth (with an attendant and props), and uplighting, he helped us tailor our wedding experience to perfection. What I loved most about the photobooth was that we were able to pick our own template and backdrop and use our own logo/monogram for it. Guests received printed copies on the spot and digital copies sent to their phones. We also received a file of all the photos and GIFs taken, which was so fun to look back on. Paul has different equipment based on your space and vibe. The sleek white setup he brought to our small venue blended seamlessly with our aesthetic, while his ability to adapt his equipment ensured optimal sound quality throughout the day. From providing a lapel mic for our officiant to coordinating with our live acoustic cocktail hour, Paul went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our day. Paul's responsiveness and flexibility, whether over email, text, or Zoom meetings, made the planning process seamless and stress-free. During the planning period, we met with him to discuss all the details like pre-ceremony music, procession, recession, introductions, first dance, last dance, parent dances, must-play songs, do-not-play songs, and whether or not we wanted requests (we opted for them, but only if they fit the vibe). He even let us cue up songs, coordinating with our wedding planner (for instance, signaling me when it was time for me to walk down the aisle). All of this was put in a shared Google spreadsheet and discussed during our meetings. He also had a remarkable ability to know exactly when to cut a song and have it fade out perfectly. As both DJ and MC, he effortlessly set the tone for the evening, keeping the dance floor packed and the atmosphere electric. He even looked like he was having a good time, cheering and dancing along with us. A few of our guests asked for his contact info and whether he did events other than weddings (which he does). He knew exactly what the crowd wanted and ensured everyone had a great time. And as an unexpected gift, his recording of our intro and first dance provided cherished memories we'll treasure forever, especially since we didn’t have a videographer. Thanks to Paul, our wedding was so much fun, filled with laughter, love, and plenty of dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack to our special day.”

Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“DJ Casanova was recommended to us by our venue and we could not have been happier with our decision to have him DJ our wedding reception. He is extremely organized and responsive. He shared a wedding planning sheet with us that allowed us to build our timeline and reception playlist. He also allowed us to create our own playlists for cocktail hour and dinner music (though he has some of his own playlists that we 'stole' some songs from too). What really made DJ Casanova stand out was that he met with us virtually (we don't live in the DMV area) multiple times before our wedding. His main focus during the first session was to learn about us as individuals and a couple, as well as our families. The second session was focused on logistics, name pronunciations, etc. He was extremely receptive to our requests and made the wedding day exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests asked us how we found our DJ because they were so blown away with the musical selections he played and how friendly he was during the reception. We give our highest recommendation!”

“I don't know where to begin! First and foremost, book DJ Nate for your wedding ASAP! My fiancé(now husband) and I were looking for a DJ that was not your typical, "gaudy, corny, and obnoxious" wedding DJs these days. He was professional, organized, accommodating, and easy to talk to. Our first initial "meet-up" was through the phone. He listened to all our suggestions and helped plan our reception timeline to the T. His recommendations were spot on when we were unsure of things. His website was also easy to use. It helped us to start up the wedding reception program, add songs we loved( and hated lol), and everything else you can think of while planning the reception program. He was also very prompt with answering back emails and phone calls. He even took his time to ask us how to properly pronounce ALL the bridal entourage's full names(Filipino last names are a little tricky when it comes to proper pronunciation, and he nailed it during the reception!). Guests came up to me and said his voice was perfect! They liked how HE WAS NOT obnoxiously screaming through the mic to hype up the crowd. He let his music do the "talking." My husband and I danced the night away. Our dance floor was full the entire time, and this is not an exaggeration. Our full wedding video without a doubt showed how everyone was on the dance floor enjoying themselves. We are VERY PICKY with our music, and DJ Nate literally played all the songs we wanted. DJ Nate did an absolute amazing job with our reception music. Seriously guys, book him for your wedding/event. We cannot recommend DJ Nate from Terrace DJ enough. THANK YOU, THANK YOU NATE!”
