“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“There are not enough words to describe our experience with Rachel. Used her as both our Dj and day of coordinator and she absolutely exceeded any expectations. We didn’t give her a ton to go off of in terms of music to play and she totally nailed it anyway. There was not a single skip all night. “We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. It’s been nearly a month since the big day and people keep telling us how amazing the music was, and we can’t stop watching the many videos David took from the night, reliving the magic that his band created. “Although we didn’t hire Overtone Entertaining for our own wedding, after being in attendance for another event they played at and inquiring more about them, I can confidently say I really wish they existed when we were planning our day. The level of professionalism, talent, and care was impressive and it’s abundantly clear that this is more of an experience than just hiring a band playing at your special day or event. The rarest part about them is they personalize everything to your needs and taste which is very hard to find within this industry! Hindsight 20/20, having them at our wedding would have taken away the headache and extra guesswork of planning this integral part of our whole day. Moving forward, I will be hiring them for our big life events in the future.”
