“Summit Events and DJ Sean Markland were amazing to work with! Do you want to have the most epic dance party of your life at your wedding? Do you want your guests on the dance floor all night? Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. We would definitely use Sean and Summit Events again and highly recommend them for the best night of your life!”

After contacting numerous DJs, we found that many were slow to respond, lacked transparent pricing, or spent more time trying to upsell us on extras we didn't want than learning about our vision. Jeff was exactly the opposite. Communication was prompt and effortless, his pricing was fair and transparent, and he offered everything we were looking for, including sound systems for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as attending our rehearsal to ensure the ceremony music went smoothly. The true measure of a great wedding vendor, though, is how they handle the unexpected. During our reception, a miscommunication left our wedding coordinator absent for much of the evening. This band was incredible - out of all our vendors, everyone kept asking "where did you find this band?". “Love & Light Entertainment was the perfect DJ choice for our wedding. From the beginning, Josh and Lynn were incredibly organized, responsive, and attentive to all the details. They worked closely with our wedding coordinator to ensure the music and timing for the night ran seamlessly. Josh was especially flexible and collaborative, working with us to create a custom dinner playlist where each table was called up to the buffet line by a song from the album on their table. This personal touch was a huge hit with our guests. We had a smoke machine for our first dance that was having trouble, Josh fixed it enough to use it for some of the dancing throughout the night. We had put some songs on the dancing section of the portal that is set up for each couple (which is amazing) those songs were not played during the reception. There was a requests page and we probably should have put the songs we really wanted there, it is more direct than putting it on the dancing section, something for others to keep in mind. Josh also played a groomsmen and bridesmaids song. The groomsmen’s song was perfect for them, if I had known, I probably would have changed the bridesmaids choice. We loved the music that was picked and everyone continues to tell us how they had not seen a wedding where the dance floor was full the whole time. We also continue to get positive comments on how great the music choices were. Everyone loved our phone audio guest book. Josh let us use any phone we wanted as long as it had the cables he needed which is great when wanting to have a phone that matches your theme. Love & Light has a variety of services and packages to pick and choose from to meet anyone’s needs. Overall, Love & Light provided professional, high-quality service that exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day truly special.”

When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well.
