“From the beginning, we instantly fell in love with the venue and location. As we drove up to the venue for the tour, we began envisioning our wedding and knew this is where we wanted to get married. Lake Cuyamaca has a special place in our hearts and we were so excited to be able to share it’s beauty with our guest. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the lake! Additionally, the weekend of our wedding, we stayed at the Lakeview cabins at Lake Cuyamaca. The stay was very pleasant and convenient. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful and responsive! As the months turned into weeks, they were checking in with us to make sure we had all things accounted for. It’s only 3 months out from our wedding and we’re already hosting another event!”

“Oakwood Creek made our wedding dreams come true...if you are looking for a rustic, charming, cozy, and intimate venue, look no further - you have found it in Oakwood Creek. As a couple that paid for our wedding ourselves, finding the perfect venue, location, setting all within budget started out challenging. But after one tour at Oakwood Creek, we knew right away we found our venue. (It actually was our first and only tour, that's how certain we were.) We had 35 guests (planned for 40) and it was the perfect size. My husband and I only wanted our closest friends and family so this venue was perfect for us. We were able to get plate rentals through the venue and coordinated all of our vendors through Oakwood Creek. The entire team at Oakwood Creek is amazing. I definitely had a few moments of tears before the wedding after 100% rain was forecasted on my wedding day but the team pivoted everything indoors for the reception and we were able to do the ceremony outside. They all kept me grounded and answered every single one of my questions (there were MANY) lol! Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Mt. Woodson Castle by Wedgewood Weddings

“We had our wedding here on June 6th and it was absolutely everything we hoped for and more :) What made Mt. Woodson perfect for us: - highly professional and friendly staff from our first tour to the day and communication afterwards, special shout-out to our day-of coordinator Jessica and Derek & Kelsey who worked with us while planning - Stunning outdoor and indoor venue, so you can have the ceremony & dinner outside and then switch inside for the party and dessert. Bonus: in the worst case of bad weather you still have a fantastic place for your wedding instead of a back-up tent solution. And you can go until 11pm while other venues limit the party to 10pm. - Amy's Closet is filled with items to use free of charge and they allow DIY flowers/decor which was important to me since I am artistic and wanted to give my wedding a personal touch. Only thing you have to do is assign a person resposible for set-up & take down but our day-of coordinator was so sweet to lend a hand too. - Food was fantastic! We opted for 2 carving stations & buffet style dinner but they also offered plated menus for our guests with dietary restrictions. Our guests were complimenting the food and many went back for seconds and vegan & vegetarian guests were happy with their plates too. Plus: you get to take home the delicous left-overs- they even packed a beautiful to-go plate separately for the bride & groom. - Plenty of parking with option to leave the car over night. Just beware that Ramona is a bit remote so it is not quite as easy to catch a ride, so preordering transportation makes sense. There is some stairs and uneven paths but myself as a bride and all other guests in heels were getting around just fine and also our older guests had no complaints. They were also very accomodating of my brother who is in a wheel chair and they had bathrooms that were accessible for him. Thank you again to the whole Mt.Woodson staff for the BEST experience ever!”

“We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.”

Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa

“I got married at the Coronado Island Marriott in April 2023. It was the most magical weekend of my life! It was an Indian wedding - 300 guests and had events both Friday and Saturday (3 events total), all held at the Coronado Island Marriott. The views from the wedding site are stunning - you get the water and downtown skyline as your backdrop, and people were stunned. One of our events (Sangeet - Friday night) was at the hotel's Skyline Terrace, and the sunset hitting downtown and the lights in the night were breathtaking. You also get a view of the Coronado bridge. Everywhere you go, there are views. Our guests were raving all weekend about the accommodations. The hotel boasts the biggest hotel rooms in San Diego, and they did not disappoint. They were extremely clean and modern. The biggest bonus was the hotel wasn't huge to where people felt overwhelmed walking from one side to another. It was intimate while still being spacious, and you got the vibe it was my wedding wherever you went in the hotel. The hotel is super close to the ferry to downtown, so when people had free time, some of them would go downtown for food or site-seeing, and come back. It was super easy. The hotel has a spa as well (my husband and I got a couples massage the day after the wedding), which is so tidy and relaxing as well. There's a park nearby, and flamingos on site which I know a lot of the kids loved watching. The Coronado Beach is a 10 min drive (which is where we got some of our wedding pictures done), and a few people spend time there. The hotel also has a wonderful/spacious pool area, which a lot of my friends used. There are also a lot of restaurants walking distance from the hotel, which was nice since each of the families had welcome dinners at separate places - guests didn't have to worry about ubering or walking far distances. There's something for everyone to do/see during down time at or near the hotel. The hotel at the restaurant is called Albaca, and served up some delicious food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great), and cocktails. My husband loved Albaca's spicy margarita so much when we visited one time, that he decided to make it his signature drink! I know a lot of guests spent time there hanging out. I have to give a shoutout to Kheshini over at the Marriott (Director of Event Planning) who was with us every step of the way - from site tours, to signing, to helping us plan the event, to being there when it all came together. Even if we visited the Marriott unannounced and we let her know we were in town, she'd go out of our way to say hi. She is so friendly, and just the person you'd want helping run your event. She worked with us to try to get everything we wanted, and to make sure that we were happy (ex. I wanted a very specific watermelon vodka for my signature drink, and Kheshini made sure that they were able to find it and order it in time). She was also extremely patient with the questions that came from our parents (which was a lot!). If you're considering booking the Coronado Island Marriott as a wedding venue, I 10/10 would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed, and I felt like a princess the entire weekend. Everyone there is extremely polite and accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy on the most important weekend of my life thus far.”

“We toured so many places that they all started to blend together, and we had a ton of questions, would the staff actually be responsive? Would our guests have a good experience, not just some pretty backdrop that our guests would get tired of? From the first email, The View At Seacoast team was on top of everything. They replied quickly, sent clear pricing with no surprises, and walked us through exactly what was included, and compared to other venues, they were upfront and honest even with the things they could and couldn’t do, (a relief when everyone is trying to upsell you) which made it so much easier to compare them to other places. We we worried about the views as advertised, but seriously, you can't find rooftop deck with direct views to the beach and pier anywhere else in SoCal like The View At Seacoast. The team kept us up to date with clear updates for the ceremony, right down to the lighting and where guests would actually be standing. They also introduced us to their preferred vendors, but there was no pressure to use them, which we really appreciated. We felt like every major question checked our boxes we've had when venue shopping, communication, transparency, logistics, and guest experience. Our friends are already looking to book the venue for their events, so we couldn't recommend it enough.”

“Personal Touch Dining, especially Daisy Ochoa and Hannah Adams, were truly phenomenal. Daisy was our main point of contact and an absolute professional. From the start, she gave us so much confidence. She guided us through every step with patience, clarity, and kindness, answering all our questions and handling our spreadsheets and details with ease. Hannah kept all our scheduling and logistics perfectly organized and was always incredibly responsive. Their resources, timelines, suggestions, and regular check-ins kept us on track and completely stress-free. Before the wedding, they coordinated our rehearsal, food tasting, meal selections, dessert orders, and our request for bilingual bartender and waitstaff, which meant so much to us and our families. Our production meeting with Daisy was especially helpful; she walked us through every detail, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure nothing was overlooked. On the wedding day, Daisy was so kind and attentive. She made sure we were fed, taken care of, and stayed on schedule. The team's help with setup and decor was outstanding. They brought our vision to life beautifully and handled every detail so we did not have to worry about a thing.
