**We are new to Zola but not new wedding photographers.** Banker Creative is a small business consisting of myself Joe, and my wife Ashley. We are a Husband + Wife Creative Team that specializes in documenting weddings. We call Ohio home, but we are grateful to have the opportunity to continue to capture weddings all over the country. Incorporating both my interests in technology and art, photography was a field I was instantly attracted to. Choosing a career in photography was the easiest choice I ever made and I’ve never looked back. My journey started back in High School while in Yearbook and blossomed in college at Indiana University where I was able to incorporate a more creative outlook to the journalism style I was used to. I was immediately attracted to photography and capturing the moments that most pass up. After realizing I lacked photos of certain people and certain times in my life, I wanted to make sure that I would help people never feel the same way.

When asked about how I first became interested in photography, I always dedicate my answer to my father. My dad was a photographer himself, and I grew up learning about the art of capturing lovely images by watching him. My love for the art form grew while taking a high school film photography class and, eventually, my father and I opened a studio together.

What if you could stop time and hold it in your hand? I heard that I could have superpowers when I was very young and that is when I knew I would become a photographer. Using an old girl scout camera found at a garage sale, my father taught me the rules of photography and composition. On weekends we would go for photo adventures. From old cemeteries to Civil War reenactments to Dawn at the Downs, we always had fun practicing photography. In high school, I took a newspaper class and learned how to develop photos in the darkroom. At college, I fell in love with art graphic design. Throughout my life, photography has always been there.
