“We had a memorable and positive experience with Rian as our wedding DJ. He stands out from the rest of the crowd with his unique style and personality (the 70s tuxedo helps!). Oddly enough his website, which is refreshingly quirky and interesting, made him a top option when we were DJ searching. From our initial call, he was very fun to get to know, and while satisfyingly honest about personal tastes, is still more than happy to fulfill your vision and preferences. He also offers uplighting as an add-on, which was an absolute steal compared to what our venue was offering. We worked with him a few weeks prior to the wedding to get an abridged cut of our first dance song, and Rian thoughtfully provided us several edits to choose from. For the reception, we created a playlist of starting suggestions, and he did a great job playing a mix of our recommended tracks with a blend of his own selections across a wide range of genres. At one point a cousin shouted from the dance floor, "How is this all music I grew up with!?!?!" amid the opening beats of Be My Lover (what a great pick, we didn't suggest it but wow, did it fit perfectly). We also come from immigrant families, and so we wanted to include some non-Western music in the mix. Rian had taken the time to dig up some classic nostalgic standards from our families' cultures and play them during cocktail hour. Every single "must play" was played, every "do not play" was respected to a T. We danced so much, we even forgot to get dessert. He and his assistant Sam were super polite and effusive and made our wedding night fly by. Thank you guys!”

“I am not sure I can sing enough praises for The Hook Club (okay, I'll let them do the singing). Every single communication we had with Dan, Jesse, and the rest of the band was professional, funny, and enjoyable - and that's certainly not something you can say about everyone. We booked THC back in March 2020 before the shutdown and they were so flexible and kind as we went through various reschedulings of our wedding. They are so well-prepared and thoughtful, really considerate of what you want and what you and your spouse imagine your wedding to be, and very clear on what they need from you. As it got closer to our date, Dan and Jesse were super communicative and when we ran into some issues with COVID causing our guest numbers to dwindle, they were our own little hype team, telling us that they'd be sure we had a good time even with fewer guests. I'm not sure I ever told them how much it meant to me to have their reassurances during that time. I have known from the moment I got engaged that I wanted a live band at my wedding and truly, we could not have found a better one. My parents were skeptical of a large live band, but when my husband and I went to that first THC showcase, we knew from that moment that they were the band for us. We promised our family and friends a good time, and we followed through. Our guests were astonished, literally jaws dropping all over the place as the band got going. My parents' faces were incredible to behold and my sometimes-curmudgeonly dad was grinning from ear-to-ear all night and kept telling me for days after how great THC was. I got so many comments about the musicianship, the energy, and how incredibly fun they were. Multiple people told me it felt like we were at a concert - which it totally did! They got everyone engaged in the dancing, playing music that guests of all ages could enjoy, and engaged with everyone down on the dance floor and really made it feel like a million people were there, which was important to me. I could really ramble on forever at how incredible they were, but I'll just sum it up to say that they were the life of the party and I am so thankful. I'll also add that we had a solo guitar for the ceremony and solo piano for the cocktail hour and that was just absolutely perfect. Each individual member of the band is extraordinarily talented, so whatever combination of musicians you go with will be incredible. I cannot recommend The Hook Club enough - I wish I could give ten stars. Every moment of working with them was a pleasure and I feel so lucky. Thank you a million times over!”

“I cannot say enough about how happy I am that I hired Restless Voices for our holiday wedding. I have always loved a capella and when we decided to a smallish (40) person at home wedding, I knew I needed something that would be the right size for the venue while still being uplifting and engaging for the crowd that spanned generations. I reached out to Jordyn when we were all still dealing with COVID and they were so accommodating to my questions, worked with me on pricing, offered and helped me figure out sound for the ceremony, and provided DJ services. They were on time, dressed as promised, super flexible (it rained all day), and just all around nice. EVERYONE loved them and people I've never seen dance got up and shook their groove thang. As a side, the week of the wedding I had a family emergency occur in my immediate family and we were contemplating possibly postponing. When I told Jordyn she was so empathetic and supportive and while I'm thrilled we went forward, I can't say enough about how much her response meant. I continue to get calls from people who attended about who they were and have made at least 2 referrals. I am hopeful to have the pleasure of using them again for future parties!”
