My parents don’t have professional photos of their wedding. It’s ironic being that I photograph weddings for a living. Long story short, my Grandfather hired a distant cousin as their wedding photographer, his customer service was beyond subpar and pricing was vague. He eventually went out of business and apparently took the photos down with him. It’s a sad story but it is something that fuels my mission as a wedding photographer. To give my clients a memorable experience from the first Zoom meeting to the delivery of their gallery and beyond.

Photographing elopements happened by chance for me, but once I did my first one, I realized what an amazing experience it was for my couples. Hello! I’m Katya and I was born & raised in central oregon. I’m 24 and I have been taking photos since I was in highschool. It started out with taking classmate’s senior photos & I realized I really enjoyed taking portraits. My first wedding was in 2016 & I do around 1-2 a year because photography has always been a side gig. Now I am finally wanting to do this full time and I can’t wait to meet new couples and capture some of the most important moments of their lives! Besides senior portraits & weddings, I have taken family, brand, clothing store, food, events, work out classes, and professional headshots.

Juliana is a photographer of 10 years who started with a passion of photographing her friends in high school. This then led to a pursuit of lifestyle and fashion photography. She worked for countless brands, models and lifestyle companies over the course of her earlier career – and even dabbled in social media marketing. It wasn’t until 2019 that she began to heavily pursue documenting lovers and their weddings. Mari Co was dreamt up in 2020 and she has since committed her heart to photographing people in love since then.

First things first, I want to be upfront and say I thrive in certain environments and not others. I'm all about candid moments, adventurous, wild environments, and couples who are passionate about the experience I can give them. I'm about directing, with minimal posing. Our wedding business started out with me shooting a wedding video for a very dear friend of mine in 2017. I posted the video to a Facebook business page and BOOM! It received 200,000 views and we started receiving hundreds of inquiries from couples around the PNW. Every year I would book 30-40 weddings doing photos and videos for couples. When COVID struck, we had a year crashing into the next year. We had to adapt. So I grew our company to 8 teams of pro photographers/videographers to cover weddings around the US. There is nothing better than capturing love on the biggest day ever. Every day we are thankful to be able to do this.

We are a Husband & Wife team currently based in SoCal but will travel to Las Vegas as well as any other state in the U.S. What is “The Lou Effect”? Well The Lou Effect is actually a quote my wife would say to me before going to shoots. Before heading out she’d always say “show them that Lou effect”, so from there the name was born. Essentially the goal is to always make every shoot as creatively unique as possible, by showcasing key moments from small details to those big wowing moments to truly tell your days story. But ultimately the desired “Effect” is to leave our clients with smiles on their faces and satisfaction in their hearts.
