The Flowr Studio

5.0

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Northford, CT

Hi there! I’m Josslyn, a Connecticut-based wedding florist and the founder of The Flowr Studio, a Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I love creating florals that feel organic and inspired by nature, with a balance of garden style and modern elegance. Every arrangement is a chance to express creativity, tell a story, and bring beauty into a moment that matters. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

The Flowr Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first conversation, Joss and her team were easy to communicate with, efficient in their responses, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The floral arrangements they created for our special day were of the highest quality - absolutely gorgeous, unique and classic in design. The flowers were truly stunning, and I'll look back on them forever and smile. Joss is the best of the best, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect floral experience for our wedding. I highly recommend The Flowr Studio to any couple looking for a top-notch florist who will bring their vision to life.

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

When I first saw my wedding bouquet I was speechless! It was nothing like any other bouquet I had seen in the absolute best way! The flowers were gorgeous, vibrant, and truly unique, just like I wanted! Kate has such a keen ability to take inspiration photos, run with them, and create something incredibly gorgeous and in line with my vision. The florals she designed brought a lovely pop of color to our reception and pulled the natural look from the landscape into the space exactly like I envisioned. From little details like "snap-bracelet" corsages for the moms to a color-coordinating ribbon on the boutonnieres, Kate totally knocked it out of the park!

Willow & Grey

5.0

  • Serves Northford, CT

I instinctually fell in love with the creativity of floral design and it wasn’t long until Willow & Grey was born. WG creates unique, romantic, and whimsical floral designs for weddings and events in New England. My desire is to curate florals that reflect and celebrate the beauty and magic in life’s most cherished moments.

If I could give more stars, I would!! Communication with Willow & Grey was quick and easy! Their work was absolutely incredible - the ceremony flowers were stunning and the reception decor was equally as breathtaking. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I had no idea flowers could come together to create such a magical, fairytale-like atmosphere. Renee is so incredibly talented, and I couldn't recommend Willow & Grey more highly.

Wild Grown Floral was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! Everything was completely seamless from start to finish, and the designs were more than I could have ever imagined. Lindsay was incredibly responsive, so kind, and truly went above and beyond. Her pricing was amazing, especially for the level of artistry she brings. She was also incredible because she used her knowledge of our venue, Wright’s Mill, to figure out exactly what was needed and where. That level of expertise made the entire process effortless and ensured everything looked perfect on the big day. I even unexpectedly met her at a vendor event before the wedding, and her small bouquets were gorgeous — it confirmed we were in the best hands. I wasn't fully sure what to expect working with Poppy, but I was truly so happy with how everything came together! It's definitely a more hands-off experience, which was great for me, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend to brides that are super particular about their flowers. I had a great experience with my floral consultant Adrienne. She really took my wants and budget into consideration and was extremely helpful in picking out the designs that best matched my vision. On the day-of, I didn't have to worry at all about the floral delivery or setup - they handled it completely with my wedding venue coordinator. This was great and took a lot of stress off my plate. The flowers themselves were STUNNING and so far beyond my expectations. Fantastic price too, especially as our wedding was on an island and involved more logistical challenges than some venues might. :)

First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.
