Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. He got the crowd going, the dance floor was always packed and he invited the couple up to DJ booth which was so fun for them and also amazing for pictures. “Okay brides just book them!!! I wish I could do 200 stars because that’s what they deserve. The amount of people who came up to us through out the night to comment on the music was the most rewarding feeling, because I completely agreed! The combination of live acoustic, with dj is so unique, stood out to everyone, and was worth every penny. The planning process with them was so easy, and they even put my mind at ease by just sharing their insights, while also listening to what we wanted. Joseph perform our first dance song live, which was my favorite part- it wasn’t your typical “slow” song, but we loved it anyways and he really executed it beautifully. We were all in awe of the whole experience. I ALMOST didn’t have them incorporate the live sing a long at the end, but after they described the vibe on our last call I changed my mind and let me say- I’m so glad they did it. One of my friends told me they felt like they were at a concert. We wish we could relive that night over and over again. I really can’t thank Joseph and Erika enough for taking such great care of this experience and creating the night of our dreams!!”

“DJ Buono & DJ Tavo & crew were absolutely incredible!! As a news reporter, I can appreciate producing a SHOW and that is exactly what they put on! This was SO much MORE than a great wedding!! From the first phone call, DJ Tavo's excitement and attention to detail was top tier. DJ Buono helped sculpt our ENTIRE reception & even gave us the idea to have dinner become more of a performance with our violinist. They immediately welcomed her into the mix and it made for the BEST time!! You would have thought she worked with them nightly. This was an elegant night out in Boston meets IBIZA!! We could barely sit still to eat because we were all dancing in our seats!! I have never seen guests rush the dance floor like this. (& I've once been to 13 weddings in a single year) To the point, we had to tell some of them to sit down so we could do parent dances!! People literally could not wait to start dancing/celebrating!! We cannot believe this was our WEDDING!!! & it wouldn't have been the same without Black Diamond Event Production! People are still messaging us to say this was the best wedding they've ever been to! Not only is this team so talented that it is almost out of this world, they are also good people. People you'd want sitting at your table, people you'd want in your corner, and people you will want to keep in touch with forever. “Chris was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Communication before the wedding was spot on-he always responded to my emails, meetings were insanely easy to schedule, and I never once questioned whether I could rely on him. He was prompt, trustworthy, and just easy to work with. We had a live violinist for our ceremony who needed backing tracks, and Chris coordinated all of the audio directly with her. I honestly couldn't even tell you the logistics of how they worked it out because I didn't have to be involved, which was exactly what I wanted. Everything between the two of them was seamless. Cocktail hour and dinner music were perfect. He used our playlists, handled every announcement we threw at him, and our entrances and transitions were seamless. We had different songs for our parents, wedding party, and our entrance, followed by our first dance and parent dances, and he nailed all of it. The biggest accolade Chris deserves was our first dance. We wanted two different versions of the same song mixed together at a VERY specific point, and Chris literally mixed them live at exactly the time we requested. It was perfect. We were also very intentional about our dance music. We had a playlist and specifically told Chris that guests could not request additional songs unless they got approval from one of us first. He stuck to that and turned people away when they tried, which I appreciated SO much. He played the majority of our playlist and kept the vibe we wanted all night. There were a few songs we had intentionally added that didn't get played, so I individually requested them, which solved the problem in real-time. That's genuinely my only constructive feedback. He also knows when NOT to talk. He didn't over-emcee. He made announcements when we needed them and otherwise let the music speak for itself. We added the audio guestbook through him as well; it worked perfectly, and I believe we had all of the recordings back within 48 hours. Chris is an overall great guy. He stayed around after the wedding and talked with us for a bit, and after working with him throughout the entire planning process, I can confidently say he is someone I would trust with a wedding again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“DJ Motiv was extraordinary. I was so impressed by his professionalism, communication, and willingness to make sure our night was perfect. I was skeptical at first with some reviews mentioning that the DJ’s weren’t playing the songs they chose. I immediately reached out and that was informed that it would not be an issue. ALL of our chosen music was played, with some song requests of guests (with bride’s approval, per DJ motiv - loved that). DJ Motiv checked in with us constantly, even to make sure our food was at our table, if we needed drinks, if the music was going well, and if there was anything he could do. He was going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I even threw in special requests during my wedding, including him stopping my parent dance half way (on purpose) as if the music turned off, to take the mic and give a short speech. He did it phenomenally. I had a game request, with him being the commentator and director of, and he took that role and ran with it. The wedding guests LOVED him. I have nothing negative to say about his services. Even the photobooth was done great! I also had a custom sign made, with our new last name, and it was perfect! Such a great item to be able keep, and you get a year warranty on it. Anyway, I highly recommend this DJ!! He MADE our wedding perfect. Everyone loved him.”

“Dana was AMAZING and made our night so special!! Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. The care he put into learning the wedding parties names and dressing for our style of wedding was so thoughtful. Not only was he great at his job, he was so friendly and so communicative and spent the whole night with a smile on his face. He played music at our ceremony and reception, and it went exactly how we wanted. He sang a couple songs and even joined in on the dance floor for some of our songs like the Cupid shuffle and cotton eyed Joe, it was a total blast! We didn’t want the night to end, 10/10 would recommend him for your event!”
