“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Where do we even start! From the very first email, Colin was such a calming and supportive presence throughout the whole wedding planning process. Anytime I had a question or worry (which I had a few), he was right there with reassurance and quick answers - even when I’d email him late at night, he somehow would respond within minutes! That kind of responsiveness and care meant so much to us, especially in the week leading up to the wedding with things get hectic. He went above and beyond for our rehearsal, helping us run through every detail and setting up mics and speakers so efficiently that everything flowed seamlessly. It gave us such a peace of mind knowing he had everything under control. On the wedding day, Colin handled two complete sound setups - his wireless one for our outdoor ceremony and his main for the reception - and both were absolutely flawless! The sound quality was perfect the entire day; guests could hear every word of our ceremony and every speech crystal clear. There wasn’t a single hiccup. Then came one of the biggest surprises of the night - cold sparks! Colin and my husband had planned them without me knowing, and it was truly one of my favorite parts of the evening. It made our first dance feel straight out of a movie and the photos from that moment are unreal. If anyone is on the fence about adding cold sparks - DO IT! You won’t regret it. The Photo Booth was a huge hit with our guests! Colin recently upgraded with a printer which people were obsessed with being able to take home their photos (a little built in favor). It kept guests entertained all night long and added such a fun, interactive element to our reception. What really stood out though, was how Colin and his wife (who was his wonderful assistant that day) made everything so personal. They were professional yet warm, blending right into the crowd and truly feeling like family celebrating alongside us. Colin kept the energy flowing, a smooth timeline, and the dance floor full all night long. Looking back, we can’t imagine our day without Sound Love. “I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. “We booked through Steve upfront and he was so terrific to work with on initial arrangements. Our DJ, Drew, was absolutely fantastic! He handled both our ceremony and reception music, and everything was seamless from start to finish. The ceremony music was perfect, the timing was exactly right, and he helped create the exact feeling we wanted for the day. Our main focus was on the ceremony, as we wanted my cousins to play piano and guitar while guests arrived. We needed a DJ who could seamlessly accommodate this setup. “We absolutely loved working with Kuhl Entertainment (we had Aaron/Ace as our DJay). From initial questions to booking to planning and then the big day everything was fun and collaborative. Aaron had our dance floor FILLED and ROCKING all night long. I was nervous about missing a particular song (Pink Pony Club obvi) and let Aaron know in advance. I was "stuck" talking to a family member when it first came on. Aaron stopped the music and called me out to the dance floor to make sure I didn't miss it. Kuhl has an excellent system down and helps everyone be organized and on the same page. Aaron was absolutely amazing and felt like a friend by the end of the night.”

From preplanning meetings to the wedding day, Mitch was extremely on top of everything to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. He also communicated with our other vendors on the day of the wedding to ensure everyone was on the same page! When we had our live acoustic guitarist back out somewhat suddenly, we reached out to Mitch for references. To our surprise, he offered us an even better idea to have him play sax and a friend play guitar at the ceremony. “We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. It’s been nearly a month since the big day and people keep telling us how amazing the music was, and we can’t stop watching the many videos David took from the night, reliving the magic that his band created.
