Sylvanside Farm is truly something special. I knew it was the perfect venue the moment I pulled onto the property- the kind of immediate, overwhelming feeling that you can’t really explain but just know. The beauty of the grounds, the peaceful surroundings, and the charm of every corner of the farm created such a sense of calm and excitement all at once. It felt like the exact place I wanted to begin such an important chapter of my life. What stood out to me most was the atmosphere the farm creates. It’s elegant without trying too hard, rustic without being rough, and romantic in a way that feels completely natural. The barns, the fields, the historic touches, and the overall warmth of the setting all come together to make the entire property feel like a dream. You don’t just see the beauty, you feel it. The team at Sylvanside was equally wonderful. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for their couples shine through in everything they do. They make the planning process feel smooth and supported, and it’s clear they truly want your day to be perfect. My whole planning process was stress-free. Choosing Sylvanside Farm was one of the easiest decisions I made. The experience has been nothing short of amazing from start to finish, and I’m so grateful to have found a venue that feels so meaningful and magical. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a place that will take your breath away and make your wedding day unforgettable. Our day was perfect!

Market at Grelen is such a perfect choice for your wedding venue. We would choose it over and over again. We love the Market so much and the best thing is that it's open to the public as an actual nursery and place where you can hike, get drinks, have lunch, and get your Christmas tree even long after your wedding. Most places you only return to for other weddings. It's so special that you can revisit. I definitely recommend booking Spotswood Lodge and Boxwood Villa for your weekend stay as well so you're all in one small area. The team at Grelen are amazing. They always checked in on us and kept the process flowing. Morgan was so good to us throughout the entire process and made me feel so comfortable and at ease that everything would flow. She is so awesome! The venue itself is STUNNING. We loved using the whole property for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception so our guests got to see the whole property. Gorgeous views and so many fun options to add on like ice cream, fire pits, cookies, AND they let you pick out plants to use which really adds to the tent. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Grelen. I'm obsessed.

We had our wedding at Boxwood Villa on May 4, 2024, and it was completely perfect. Our family from out of town came a few days early to get settled and prepare, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out and also to hang out together. The beds were insanely comfortable and the accommodations were amazing. While we planned to have the ceremony on the front lawn, the rain had other plans and the team jumped into action and was ready to host our 30 guests on the spacious, gorgeous covered porch. The cocktail hour was held on the first level, and the beautiful house made for some incredible photo opportunities. The lawn was the most amazing place for the tent where our reception was held, and it was just as magical as everywhere else. Everyone commented on how perfect the venue was, including my family. I can't wait to visit again in the future to re-live these incredible memories. Thank you, Boxwood Villa!!!

spent a whole weekend here for my wedding. If you're looking for a stress free and organized wedding Chanel is your girl. She had a complete timeline for all things and makes sure the bride doesn't have to do a thing. Her venue is very beautiful, vintage, and just perfect! The rooms are beautiful, however the only downfall we had were the beds were not comfortable at all which made it difficult to fall asleep. We had her husband Jim officiate our wedding as well, he is just as helpful and sweet as Chanel is.

The Depot in downtown Orange, Virginia is everything you could hope for in a special event venue. I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. Working with the Grelen Events team is always a breeze, and they are eager to resolve any day-of questions or concerns. You really can't go wrong booking The Depot for your next celebration/event!

My entire bridal party and I stayed here my wedding weekend and it was fabulous! The house is so large so no one felt on top of eachother with multiple seating areas and common spaces all beautifully decorated Not to mention my cousin and I got to wake everyone up with our piano playing in the formal living room on the day of our wedding. The property is absolutely gorgeous and I felt like I was in a Nancy Myers movie while staying here. The landscaping is so well done and the massive kitchen was so helpful in feeding everyone while we were getting our hair and makeup done! Not to mention it was so great being able to have my dog there with me!

Absoluetly LOVED this venue! The moment I first stepped on the property, I fell in love and *knew* this was the place my husband and I were going to get married. Angela and her staff set everything up just the way I wanted it, and it went so smoothly! There are *so* many different options of locations to have the ceremony. Due Sorelle provides plenty of tables and chairs, and the staff will set them up for you - one less thing for you to have to worry about on your big day! I also loved that we had access to the barn the night before the wedding so I could set up the reception and not have to worry about finding someone to do that the morning of. Angela was a bit confusing to communicate with at times? Just some random things here and there - asking for details, scheduling things, and some either miscommunication or lack thereof. She was super sweet! I had just wished the communication process were a little smoother. Overall I loved Due Sorelle and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

Guildford Farm was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! From the moment we first inquired, Katie and Jonny were incredibly efficient, detailed, warm, and welcoming in their communication. They were so professional throughout the entire planning process, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. From the manor home, to the ceremony overlooking the mountains, to the clean and vibrant event center, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Not only is the property stunning, but having access to the entire venue for the whole weekend made the experience unforgettable. Our guests are still talking and asking about this breathtaking venue! Another perk was being able to stay in the manor home with our closest people, wake up on-site, and get ready there. This added such a special, relaxed, and intimate feeling to the celebration. It truly felt like our own private estate for the weekend. From our final walkthrough, allowing us to bury a bottle of bourbon (perfect weather!), capturing all the final details, and making sure every moment was accounted for (Katie literally sent us beautiful last minute moments of our wedding day that we will cherish forever), Katie and Jonny went above and beyond. We cannot recommend Guildford Farm enough - they truly made our wedding day and weekend unforgettable!

Julie, Scott, and their team made our wedding day perfect. From the first site visit and throughout the planning process, they were amazing communicators. The venue has gorgeous outdoor spaces for the ceremony and cocktail reception. The indoor space is flexible for a reception with a dance floor. There are chairs for both the ceremony and reception as well as tables. We chose to have a June wedding and when the temps entered the upper 90s, we were grateful for the A/C reception space. Even better, there are two suites that the wedding party can use to make for a seamless process getting ready. We enjoyed our experience so very much. Lastly, the bathrooms there were also excellent and let’s be real, that’s a crucial component for any good party.

Josh and Tiffany and the team at Lydias were phenomenal leading up to the day and on the day! They graciously allowed us to visit the venue multiple times to make sure that all of our information was straight and decided upon. We were luckily able to have almost all of the lodge rooms booked up along with a couple of cabins which made the whole weekend even better! Everything that would be needed for a wedding is provided, ceremony chairs, an arbor, reception tables and chairs, and even centerpieces! Having an in house catering team is also a huge plus and one less vendor we had to do research on. Having a bridal suite on site was critical so that we could have enough space and not have to worry about transportation. I would recommend this venue over and over again for any event!

Mary Neifert was the wedding coordinator for my daughter's wedding at Chisholm Vineyards. As someone who has worked in the service industry many years ago, I know just how much it took to pull off what Mary pulled off with my daughter's wedding. It is no small feat to deal with so many people - from the bride and groom - to the bridal party to the vendors to the guests to your staff, etc. The organization it takes, the attention to details, the discipline, the patience, the ability to roll and adjust as things changed, to be able to think outside of the box, to be available for the many questions that the bride and mother of the bride had along the way, to corralling a very large wedding party and all of the many other people who were floating around - Mary made everything go flawlessly and gave my daughter and her now husband and myself so much peace from the very beginning to the finish line. Mary even calmed my husband and gave him so much peace as he was preparing to officiate our daughter's wedding. He even said Mary was a calming presence and helped him to see a solution when he couldn't see the forest for the trees. He was having problems with his tuxedo studs and Mary very quickly helped solve the problem. Mary's thoroughness in everything she did was incredible. She truly has a gift for what she does. I know Mary was working well into the night (well past midnight and then we met her the next morning to get the remaining vases we left so I don't think she slept much!) to clean up and put everything back where it needed to go. She gave 100% of herself throughout this process and it was very evident that she truly and genuinely cared about the bride and the groom, and she protected them when they needed it most. Her professionalism and drive for excellence is unmatched. I would highly recommend Mary and Chisholm Vineyards to any bride and groom! I really do want everyone to know what a valuable asset she is!

From the moment we toured The Refinery, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue is stunning, but what truly sets it apart is the team — Joy and Julie are absolute pros. They’re calm, organized, and genuinely care about making everything perfect. I trusted them completely, but I let wedding blogs convince me to hire a dedicated coordinator “just in case.” When that coordinator didn’t show up to our final walkthrough, I was so anxious that things might fall apart. Joy and Julie could tell I was worried and immediately reassured me they wouldn’t let anything slip — and they kept that promise. On the wedding day, they stepped in seamlessly wherever needed and made sure every detail was flawless. We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Seven and our 130-person reception at The Refinery, and both were executed beautifully. They even brought our unique decorating ideas to life exactly as we imagined. We also added the on-site townhouses, The Quarry and The Mine, as “hospitality suites” for our guests — stocked with snacks and drinks, they became the perfect hangout space all weekend. If you’re searching for a venue with incredible spaces and a team that feels like family, The Refinery is the one. They made our entire weekend feel effortless, joyful, and completely unforgettable.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds that made for the most amazing backdrop to our special day. Special thanks to the venue coordinator, Katie, who made the planning process so easy and stress-free. She was attentive, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Jack and I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding than The Club at Glenmore in Keswick, Virginia. Growing up in Charlottesville, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. Wineries are a popular choice in Charlottesville, but they are mostly located in the surrounding counties which require a long drive from hotels. Winery weddings can also require coordinating a lot of rentals (decor, tables, chairs, etc.) and finding a caterer. After researching all of the venues around Charlottesville, we chose The Club at Glenmore or many reasons. One, the beautiful and convenient location. Glenmore was conveniently located only about 10 minutes from our hotel block on Pantops which made it easy for guests and shuttles. Even though the location is close to town, it is situated inside a beautiful gated neighborhood with views of the mountains, rolling horse pastures, and well maintained golf course. So it feels like it's out in the country without actually being that far away from town! Two, the full service. Glenmore provides so much for its couples! It has an amazing on-site chef so we did not need to find a separate catering company. This was one of our main deciding factors! Couples even do the food & wine tasting at the venue which makes for a fun day trip :) Glenmore provides all of the ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, glassware, serving ware, flatware, etc. So we did not need to rent anything except purchase some decorations. Speaking of decorations, Glenmore has many decor pieces that we were able to use! They have arbors, prosecco walls, a boxwood wall for photo opps, votive candle and holders, charger plates, up-lights, bistro lights, etc. Three, the amenities. Getting ready spaces, ceremony locations, cocktail terrace, reception ballroom - Glenmore has it all! Glenmore has a beautiful bridal suite that the ladies in my bridal party were able to use all morning. The bridal suite has plenty of room to get ready in, hang dresses in, store decor in, and even take pictures in. There is a separate space downstairs where the guys can get ready in too! We all enjoyed spending the morning and early afternoon together in these spaces while eating breakfast and lunch prepared for by Glenmore! The space was also convenient for our vendors too. They could come and check in with me throughout the morning since I was getting ready on-site. There are many ceremony locations to choose from if you want your ceremony at Glenmore. We actually switched our ceremony location within about 2 weeks of the wedding and Glenmore was very accommodating with this switch. Finally, the beautiful ballroom was another major deciding factor for us. We had our wedding in the summer, so we knew we wanted to have the reception indoors in an air conditioned room. Four, the staff. Glenmore takes pride in providing top notch service to its clients. Kim, the event coordinator at Glenmore, helped us so much from start to finish. She walked us through the wedding process, answered the many questions we had, worked with all of our vendors, met with us for our tasting and walkthroughs, made sure that all of our requests were met, and coordinated the entire Glenmore team on our wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful full-service wedding venue with everything including an amazing on-site caterer, top notch staff, convenient location, and gorgeous views, Glenmore is the place for you!!

The Wool Factory is a historic wedding venue that is located in Charlottesville, Virginia. We did a full buyout of the space for a 160 person wedding in May 2025, and I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding! There are many nice picturing-taking spots around the property. We were able to get some more nature focused pictures outside and then moved inside to capture the wonderful industrial feel of the space. We had about 20 tables of 8-9 people and it didn't feel cramped. The food was amazing and almost exactly like what we tried at the tasting. The staff was great during the event. We had to move our ceremony inside and they did the room flip to cocktail hour super quickly! Although it was pricey, we appreciate that the Wool Factory handled everything that had to do the with tables, we did not need to rent plates, napkins, glassware, etc and it was nice to just have all of that tied in with the food and beverage. The only downsides I would mention was that communication was a bit slow (I often had to send a followup email to get a response), the beer options were not given to us until 30 days before, and we had to rent chairs for the tables since they only provided benches. Also they had a strict "no bare feet" on the dance floor, which is totally understandable, but I wish I would have know beforehand so that I could have warned my guests to bring flats in addition to their heels. Overall, it was a beautiful venue and we had an amazing day!
