“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“I was in my friend’s wedding and she had hired NYX Events to produce her wedding- they did the sound, lighting, centerpieces, Photo Booth, everything! On the big day the space looked stunning. All her photos and videos turned out amazing. The NYX staff was super professional and helpful. They also helped us coordinate the timeline and flow of events, and everything went really smoothly the day of. And not to mention, their DJ was fantastic! I was impressed by how he read the crowd and kept the dance floor going all night. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for the best entertainment ever for your wedding!”

“If someone asked me nicely to go dance my heart out in 90 degree heat, I would probably refuse. If someone tried to bribe me to get out on the floor in near tropical levels of humidity and sweltering, oppressive temperatures, it would take a hefty sum. And yet, twice now I have seen Jeremy get not just me, but over one hundred people to move our feet to the expertly curated beats and harmonies, ignoring the heat in what were inarguably the best dance parties I have had the joy of participating in. My wife discovered Jeremy after I struck out in my search to find adequate music for our wedding. After wading through a sea of ridiculous quotes, flaky DJ's, and logistical nightmares involving the transportation of bands, I gave up entirely. So when my wife explained that she had found a DJ with extremely reasonable rates and fantastic reviews, I was in disbelief. But then, she played for me a sample mix that Jeremy had put together for a HIIT class and it was pure musical magnificence. We hired him soon after. Jeremy was prompt and polite in communications, knowledgeable, unforgettably friendly, and above all else the master of the party's vibe. He managed to blend Beyonce with MGMT, he got my grandmother dancing to N'Sync, I can't overstate how much fun we had. When we remember our wedding with friends and families, the music is everyone's highlight. I cannot recommend Jeremy highly enough. - Nic My partner and I were looking for a DJ for our wedding. This was a new experience for me, but Jeremy made it incredibly easy. He was organized, incredibly friendly, and even provided a survey to better understand our music tastes as well as our vision for the event. At the wedding reception, he did such a fantastic job bringing the energy, masterfully transitioning between songs, and matching our music tastes. In an incredibly sweaty barn, he got the whole group jumping and singing and bopping around (the photos from that party are.. too wild to share). “Neal is the G.O.A.T! He was one of our absolute favorite vendors to work with and played such a huge role in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be. From the very beginning, Neal was thoughtful, professional, incredibly accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the music feel like us. He went above and beyond by creating custom mixes for our parent dances, and they turned out absolutely perfectly. He also handled the audio for our ceremony, and the microphones and speakers were flawless! Every word could be heard clearly, there were no technical difficulties despite this being a completely outdoor wedding, and we never had to worry about a thing. The cocktail hour and reception was just as incredible. Neal played every song we wanted, completely understood the atmosphere we were going for, and kept our dance floor packed all night. The volume of every song was also perfect and we had so many guests compliment the music both during and after the wedding, which says everything! He knew exactly how to read the room and keep the energy going while still making sure the music felt personal to us. Beyond being an amazing DJ, Neal was simply such a pleasure to have as part of our wedding day. He went above and beyond at every turn, made the entire process easy and stress-free, and absolutely delivered when it mattered most. We never had to ask him to do anything because he would problem solve/troubleshoot everything himself without involving us. Our wedding would not have been the same without him, and we are so grateful for everything he did to make the day perfect. “I would give Dj Maskell a BILLION stars if I could! Not only was he the best wedding dj ever, he always played the biggest part in our wedding planning process. My husband and I are very adhd and we were dragging our feet to get all the little details figured out. Mark helped us get organized and even provided us with a super detailed spreadsheet with EVERYTHING involving our wedding to make sure nothing was missed. We booked him over 2 years before our wedding and every single time we reached out with questions, he responded immediately with answers. Anytime we needed to talk to him, he was able to schedule meetings with us right away. He met with us WEEKLY the month of our wedding to ensure everything was going exactly as planned and because of all of those things, we tell everyone Dj Maskell is the reason we were able to pull off our dream wedding. He was our “Master of Ceremonies” as well so he made sure everything went smoothly and everything stayed on schedule during our ceremony! Our ceremony was on the beach so we were worried our guests wouldn’t be able to hear us because of the wind, waves, etc. But Mark had discrete mics set up for us so everyone could hear us perfectly. He was able to use all the songs we wanted, even though some of them were only available on YouTube and SoundCloud. As for music, he absolutely KILLED IT! We are big into EDM, primarily dubstep, and he curated the perfect amount of our fave music, with music for the normies as well. My guests were hyping him up all weekend and even STILL text me saying how much they love him lol. I don’t write reviews often, but I wish I could shout from the rooftops how wonderful Mark is to work with, and how kind and helpful he really is. He not only played our wedding, but also our Welcome Party the night before AND Wedding After Party. He has the best energy and is HILARIOUS. He really brought all the vibes to make our wedding weekend absolutely perfect. PS: HIS LIGHT SHOW IS AMAZING!!! He has the coolest most discrete lights (you may be able to see in some of the pics I posted) and they are super slim and don’t get in the way. He let me control the lights at our after party lol!”

“Every time someone asks me what the highlight of our wedding was, I laugh — because as much as I loved each moment that I spent with my new husband, the real answer is THE BAND. From the second those opening chords of “Hot To Go” hit, I genuinely felt like I had died and gone to heaven. The energy was unreal. The dance floor was packed, the vibe was electric, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The lead singers were not only exceptionally talented, but also so kind, warm, and gracious. If you’ve had a good time at a wedding or event in the DC/Maryland/VA area, chances are it was DJ Casanova that got you moving. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“DJ Casanova was recommended to us by our venue and we could not have been happier with our decision to have him DJ our wedding reception. He is extremely organized and responsive. He shared a wedding planning sheet with us that allowed us to build our timeline and reception playlist. He also allowed us to create our own playlists for cocktail hour and dinner music (though he has some of his own playlists that we 'stole' some songs from too). What really made DJ Casanova stand out was that he met with us virtually (we don't live in the DMV area) multiple times before our wedding. His main focus during the first session was to learn about us as individuals and a couple, as well as our families. The second session was focused on logistics, name pronunciations, etc. He was extremely receptive to our requests and made the wedding day exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests asked us how we found our DJ because they were so blown away with the musical selections he played and how friendly he was during the reception. We give our highest recommendation!”

“Jason was great throughout the whole process! He was great at communicating and making sure he had all of the songs that we wanted (and didn’t) throughout the night. He also did a great job at adjusting the songs played based off of what our guests responded well to so people were on the dance floor all the time which I loved!! He collected a bunch of photos from us and displayed them on a screen that’s built into his DJ booth (I don’t know what it’s called) and many guests came up to us to specifically tell us that they loved seeing our pictures of us and our relationship as well as pics of us growing up. It’s something I don’t even think of doing, but Jason offered and I’m so glad he did! He also set up a photo booth that was very popular. He was great at making sure that things that I needed were just taken care of and went out of his way to coordinate with my wedding planner and kept me in the loop which I appreciated. We had a ton of kids at our wedding and he did a great job at playing clean (and popular) music that wasn’t raunchy. If I have any other events I’ll be sure to book Jason and I’d highly recommend him to any of my friends and family!”
