“There truly are not enough words to describe the level of service we received at The Legacy Castle for our wedding. From beginning to end, the entire experience was beyond exceptional. Our Lead Banquet Services Coordinator, Camry, was absolutely incredible. From our very first meetings through the wedding day, she handled everything with such professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. She kept up with our incredibly busy schedule, was always accommodating and understanding, and remained flexible even with our last-minute changes. She put everything together so seamlessly that we were able to simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about a single detail. From the moment I arrived at the Castle, I was greeted by our wonderful maître d’ and immediately felt completely taken care of. I was also welcomed by two beautiful young ladies, Nicole and Adriana, who were personally by my side from the second I stepped out of the car and throughout the entire day. I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible they were. They helped clean and bustle my dress, kept my lipstick in their pockets and made sure it was reapplied throughout the night, made sure I was always fed and hydrated, and constantly checked that I had absolutely everything I needed. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. I never once had to worry about anything — they were always one step ahead of me. I truly felt like a princess that entire day. The amount of care and attention they gave me allowed me to be completely present and enjoy every second of my wedding. And the food was absolutely phenomenal. Our guests still cannot stop talking about it! Before the wedding, one of our concerns was whether there would be enough food for everyone, but looking back, we laugh because we simply did not realize the level at which The Legacy Castle operates. The amount, variety, presentation, and quality of the food completely exceeded anything we could have imagined. We added the sushi boats, which were a HUGE success with our guests and absolutely worth it. And then came the Viennese display — it honestly felt like walking into Willy Wonka’s chocolate room. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful and delicious. It was over-the-top in the absolute best way and such an unforgettable way to end the night. The level of care was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It wasn’t simply good service — it felt personal. Every member of the staff made us feel as though our wedding was the most important event in the world to them that day. Even our vendors could not stop talking about how impressed they were by the professionalism, organization, and service of The Legacy Castle team. That alone says so much. I am still in awe of how beautifully and seamlessly everything came together. I truly don’t think I have ever experienced this level of service anywhere in my life. It was worth every single penny we spent. Being able to enjoy our wedding day knowing that we, our families, our guests, and even our vendors were being taken care of at such an extraordinary level was priceless. To Camry, our wonderful maître d’, Nicole, Adriana, and every single member of The Legacy Castle staff: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made one of the most important days of our lives absolutely unforgettable. We will forever be grateful.”

The 76 House is America’s oldest tavern. Built with the founding of Tappan (1686) and expanded in 1755 to accommodate the town’s need to provide hospitality to stagecoach travelers, it is here that the Dutch town fathers, a group naturally predisposed to separate themselves from England, gathered to draft and sign The Resolutions of Orangetown on July 4, 1774. This document stands as one of America’s first declarations of independence and is often given as the reason we celebrate July 4. The ‘76 accommodates up to 150 guests in 3 distinctly styled dining rooms, each one graced with a glowing fireplace. Whether you’re planning a corporate luncheon for two dozen guests, a family celebration for fifty or a glamorous wedding, personal assistance from our experienced events staff ensures a flawlessly executed occasion to be remembered for years to come. “Our vision for our wedding was for all our favorite people having a night out at a bar and the 76 house more than delivered! We loved the historical aspect of the restaurant and they even had little pamphlets our guests could take that shared the history of the venue. This is a bit of an untraditional wedding venue (as it is a restaurant) but that didn’t stop anyone from dancing and having a great time. From the moment we started working with Elisa (our “wedding planner” aka the woman who runs the show) she was detail oriented while willing to work with us throughout the whole process. Whether it was from payment, table arrangements, food, getting the vendors set up, etc. anything we needed, she helped. The food tasting she set up for us was amazing allowing us to try various options for the dinner. We are both laid back people so we let the chef go with any appetizers he wanted. You are able to request anything you want and they will likely be able to do it for you. The chef did not disappoint, ALL of the apps were incredible. We had one guest mention he ate 20 meatballs they were so good. There was chicken, steak skewers, lamb chops, meatballs, hummus/veggie spread (that wasn’t even all that was served). We had eaten at the restaurant a few times so we knew the food was good. However, having to serve 120 people and still make it delicious is tough but they did it well (we went with the chateaubriand, amish chicken, mahi mahi, and vegetable risotto). We requested no pork or nuts for the whole wedding. We had a wedding cake through a bakery they recommended and they also put plates of small desserts out on the tables. Aside from the food, the service was amazing. All the waiters and waitresses were attentive and extremely professional. For us, we constantly had our champagne filled and asked whether we needed something. They were on top of water refills, drink requests, clean up, etc. We really appreciated the service given to us and our guests. We heard so many times during cocktail hour that every time someone turned around they had a food option. While we did not have to go up to the bar, our guests said the bartenders were awesome, quick, and generous! Elisa worked great with our other vendors as well, making sure they had everything they needed and that things were kept on schedule (food, dances, cake, etc). We had a completely stress free evening which allowed us to have the time of our lives. She ensured that our tables were set with the centerpieces, the florals were set up, and she created a menu for us (which is great to have something taken off our plate). Elisa also, set up our various signs and ensured everything was where we had discussed. We were able to drop everything off ahead of time and not have anything to worry about the day of. Our biggest concern going to this venue was the fact that the front room was partially separated from the rest of the restaurant. We decided to sit people there who we knew would be a bit rowdier and on the dance floor so it wasn’t an issue for us at all. It did get pretty toasty in there but we were dancing the whole time and it’s an older building. The air tried its best and while sitting for dinner it was more than comfortable! We are a crazy group so I’m not surprised we were sweating lol. This was the best day and a HUGE part of that is thanks to Elisa and her whole team at the 76 house. Food, service, people are TOP NOTCH. We could go on and on but ran out of space :)”

“Incredible, gorgeous venue! Althea and the whole staff were incredibly instrumental in the planning and day of our wedding! This wouldn’t have happened without Althea. She is responsive, kind and always there to support. Her resume speaks for itself- had her wedding there as well. I truly cannot say enough good things about the venue. The catering is delicious, and for a wedding in 2026 still technically in NYC, we were able to keep the cost reasonably affordable. Their pricing for a plate ranges from under 100 which is a bargain in my eyes. Filled with ample places to take pictures, options for ceremony inside and outside, we were able to have 130 people sit comfortably outside. We could not be more floored by the staff’s experience and expertise and would recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful outdoor setting and something within the city limits.”

“The Italian Academy is a true hidden gem within the Columbia University campus. From the street, the building is simply charming, however it is even more enchanting as you explore within. With several floors of event space, the location is as versatile as it is stunning. The Teatro level boasts a built-in stage and adjacent private patio, which are perfect for al fresco cocktail hour and dinner. The old-world library is cozy for any intimate gathering, private OR corporate. In-house amenities such as a kitchenette, mahogany chairs and antique tables are a true bonus, and the management team is seamless to work with. Definitely worth a look for any style of event and is one of my all-time favorites as a NYC event planner.”
