“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We found Brandon through our wedding planner Christine Garrison of CMG Events. She suggested him because we were interested in having someone play acoustic guitar and singing during the wedding. After chatting with Brandon, we hired him to play the guitar for our ceremony, act as a wandering minstrel during the cocktail hour, and DJ the entire event. Our ceremony took place outdoors in an open lawn area. Brandon did a great job with setting up the sound. Everyone was able to hear both us and the officiant clearly. The acoustic rendition of Heartbeats (Jose Gonzalez) and Wildflowers (Tom Petty) he played for our processional and recessional were beautiful and really set the mood we were looking for. Brandon also did a great job DJing the event. He was able to take a small number of songs and expand the playlist to not only fit our tastes but keep the party hopping. We had expected that we would have minimal dancing and that our crowd would mostly just sit around chatting. However, Brandon was able to keep the energy up and the dance floor going throughout the night. It far exceeded our expectations and made the night really memorable. He was extremely professional throughout the planning process. We had several calls leading up to the wedding, and he made it easy to communicate what we were looking for in the event. We added songs to a few different playlists which he used as a jumping off point. He also provided suggestions for all the important moments (e.g., processionals, recessional, first dance, grand entrance). His contract and other documents were also clear and always sent promptly. On the day of Brandon arrived on time for set up and did a great job with all aspects (sound, DJing, acoustic performance, and lighting) of the event. He looked extremely professional and was communicative throughout the day, constantly checking in with the planner and us to make sure everything was going well. If he wasn’t sure about a song, he’d ask before playing it. Best of all, he was extremely reasonably priced. His assistant, Josh, was also very nice and did a great job.”

Bouquet Sound was fantastic to work with: transparent, quick to respond, flexible, and very reasonably priced. No notes, great experience. DJ Aeron is just next level. He was a blast to work with and a master of his craft. Once we spent about 45 minutes chatting about our shared music (and video game) taste on our intro call, we knew we'd found the right DJ for us. Aeron's MCing style exudes calm and command -- he's an expert and letting people know what's happening and where they need to be while keeping the mood light without putting the spotlight on himself. Aeron is also just an exceptional DJ, full stop. We shared a Spotify playlist with him a few weeks before the wedding to help him understand our general musical vibe, and he crushed it all afternoon and evening. Aeron read the vibes of the room perfectly, nailed my wife and I's musical vibe, and had some absolutely diabolical cuts and transitions. Aeron is just an incredible DJ and so fun to work with. “Before choosing Makai, my partner and I watched videos of at least a dozen DJs. Based on the energy and interactions we saw from Makai, we knew he was the one for us and our wedding day. From our first video call with him, we knew we had struck gold. What was meant to be a one hour zoom call turned into three hours of laughing and sharing stories as if we were old friends who had been separated by time. Makai was patient at every step in our process. He came prepared - he provided us a very helpful packet which enabled us to better organize our event. My partner and I did have many of our own ideas, and Makai graciously worked with every single idea of ours. When our ideas were incomplete or needed tweaking, he came up with creative solutions that incorporated our wants and his experience. After getting off our zoom call with Makai, my partner and I shared a big sigh of relief. In months of planning, most things had been stressful, but working with Makai felt almost too easy. We were very well taken care of. On the day of our event, Makai was early. Makai generously helped with things that were not at all his responsibility. Makai was loved by our guest; he contributed to a great vibe. At our request, Makai helped us stay on track for the whole event, and because of that, everything continued smoothly throughout the evening. Every time I looked at Makai, he had a beaming smile on his face. Even while continuing to enjoy the festivities, Makai’s music was on point. Amongst a handful of other vendors who were also awesome, Makai stands out because his contributions to our day were so impactful. I can’t recommend Makai enough.”

He did an amazing job of combining the hispanic culture and Spanish speakers from my husband’s side and upbeat pop beats from my side.
