As an early music specialist on baroque violin, viola, and viola da gamba, she has appeared with numerous period ensembles. Karen holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) and a Master of Music from the Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA). In addition to making and teaching music, Karen also enjoys English, Baroque, vintage and folk dance.
