“Where do I even begin--how about with how hard it was to pick ONLY ten photos to include with this review?!? When we purchased Yellow Paddle's 1.5 photographer package, I was already over the moon. Having a second shooter, even for part of the day, was something I never dreamed I could afford, and it was so exciting to find a photography vendor where the pricing was so readily available. It's almost impossible to quantify the ways that Lan and Mike contributed to our day, and I am still in shock at how much I paid for how much we got. Yellow Paddle let us peruse all of their available photographers for our wedding date, and aside from how much we loved Lan's portfolio, there was also so much in his biography that resonated with us as a couple. From the moment we met Lan at our (incredibly well-priced) engagement session, we knew we had hit the nail on the head. Talking to him was easy, we shared tons of common interests, and despite both feeling very awkward in front of a camera, Lan captured our love and excitement with such intimacy and authenticity. Because of the connection we built at our engagement session, welcoming Lan into our getting-ready spaces was much more like greeting an old friend than meeting a wedding vendor. We didn't get to choose our second shooter with the 1.5 photographer package, but Mike was also an invaluable part of our day. My husband mentions frequently that Mike helped put him at ease just before our first look photos when he was feeling his most nervous. Lan and Mike worked well with each other, too; there wasn't any tension or stepping on each other's toes. When we got our gallery back (far sooner than the expected delivery date), we were in absolute awe. Lan and Mike delivered far above and beyond what we had ever dreamed of receiving when we started planning our wedding, and frankly above and beyond what we even expected based on Yellow Paddle's pricing/package details. From the staged family photos and accessory shots to the candids of guests and private moments between my husband and me, Lan and Mike truly captured the warmth, intimacy, love, and connection we felt throughout our special day. We got married in a standard ceremony with reception afterwards, which she shot just perfectly. She also did our engagement photo shoot which we loved! There were so many times looking through our wedding gallery where I was pleasantly surprised she had captured a specific moment during our wedding and reception, as I hadn't even noticed she was there taking a picture! She has such an eye for the little interactions between family members. She is also so skilled at incorporating movement into your photos so they aren't just standard posed pictures (which she can also do beautifully) but instead photos of my husband and I running through a field/walking around/him twirling me, etc. Truly cannot get over how beautiful our wedding photos are - all thanks to Rose! “All that I can say is to BOOK CASEY for all of your photography needs! Casey first photographed me for my college graduation pictures, and I loved them so much that I knew for years that I wanted Casey to photograph me when I got married. I reached back out to Casey many years later when I got engaged and she was so professional and responsive from the beginning. First, my husband and I eloped in the Italian Dolomites and Casey was the only person to come with us to photograph the most special day of our lives. From the beginning, Casey helped me plan the entire elopement day with logistics, picture spots, and to develop a plan. We talked about some different editing styles so she could make sure to deliver exactly what we wanted. Casey woke up early to help me get ready and was there for us at every step of the day. We went to several photo locations all over the Dolomites and I honestly couldn’t be happier if I tried with the photos from our elopement. The most beautiful pictures I have ever seen and the most amazing memories to have for the rest of our lives. The elopement was extremely nice with Casey there, and we felt comfortable the entire time and will remember her for the rest of our lives. “Ivy has photographed four major life events for my family now. From our engagement to wedding to maternity to newborn photos, she captured so many of our most important memories that we can treasure forever so beautifully. In planning a wedding with a goal of staying under Colorado’s average wedding cost, I was deep in the Internet and Instagram profiles looking for a photographer that was affordable without sacrificing quality. I found two and was leaning more toward Ivy anyway, but blindly showed my fiancé at the time samples of the two photographers’ portfolios. He immediately chose Ivy’s without knowing anything about who the photographer was, cost, or any other details. He gave the reasoning that her photos were so vibrant and real-looking and he wanted our days captured in the same way. As soon as we got on the phone for our consultation call with Ivy, we immediately clicked. She then made us feel so comfortable in the engagement session and we really got to get to know each other in preparation for our big wedding day. She then requested the wedding day schedule and even helped us make decisions to build that schedule based on not only what would give us the best photo opportunities but also what would work better for us based on what she knew and getting to know us. Because she has so much experience and cares so deeply about her clients, she actually doubled as a second wedding coordinator for the day-of. She made the day flow so stress-free and took a lot of responsibility upon herself to make sure the day was absolutely perfect. Her portfolio speaks for itself as far as photography quality, her abilities, and capturing the best moments, but it’s the personal touch that you don’t get to see in her portfolio at earns her the highest five star rating. Even in the shoots outside of our wedding, she was so gentle and patient with our dogs and newborn baby, putting us so ease in what could have been stressful situations prepping for a photo session. I want to yell from the mountain tops that everybody should trust Ivy when looking for a photographer for those important moments. “Hire Lo. You won't regret it. Not only does she know what she is doing in terms of getting all the planned shots, she got incredible candid shots and live shots of my groom and I, our families, and our guests. As we've been looking back so far at our pictures, we get to relive the emotion of the day. It's the intangible thing that an incredible photographer can do--capture the emotion. I can feel our joy radiating out of our photos and I am so grateful I hired Lo. Years from now we are going to get to experience this day over-and-over because the quality of her photos is incredible. The variety of shots she was able to get makes it seem like she had second shooter (but she's just that good). Our first look was perfect. She made sure we got some golden hour shots and then got us right back to dinner so we could eat. She also is incredible at giving minor adjustment tips to make sure we weren't doing anything weird with our hands lol. Additionally, and this was big for me, working with her ahead of the wedding she reminded me how to be excited for this day. Wedding planning was stressful, but every time I got to talk to Lo she got me back to a place of being excited and joyful. The day-of when she showed up, she helped make sure we had everything covered, and kept me calm even when some things went wrong. I felt like I not only had a great photographer, but a friend who had my back and wanted to make sure my day went perfect. I am so glad we hired Lo. My groom teared up looking back at some of these photos. Hire Lo!”

I am a Denver, CO based photographer with an inclination to travel. I am constantly inspired by new environments and experiences which I consider each wedding day to be. I've been in the wedding industry for 7+ years and no two wedding days have been the same and in my opinion, that's how it should be, as no two couple's story are the same. I picked up a camera at age 18 and just have yet to set it down at age 26. My aussie, Dixie, has been with me every step of the way and loves to travel herself. I am a hard core foodie and will try anything at least once (as will Dixie).
