She listened to what I wanted and made my face feel weightless even with a full face and foundation! Mercedes did wonders with my hair and the curls held all night even through jumping, crazy wind, and a handsy groom lol. She’s the sweetest and so supportive of whatever I wanted. Eva did fantastic with all of the hair and makeup she did for my girls also! Huge thanks all around the such a fantastic team. Overall communication was great prior to booking and died down a bid in the middle of the experience and towards my wedding but I’m guessing that was due to it being a busier time of year. At the end of the day I’d highly recommend them though, especially the fantastic artists that I had the pleasure of working with.”

Before my trial, Erin had looked up my social media so she already knew my vibe (simple and elegant). I showed her a few pictures and she had great ideas for the hairstyle. She helped me find the perfect hairpiece that made me confident I didn't want a veil. A few weeks before our wedding, we realized we were going to have a time crunch and within a few hours (late on a Monday evening), Erin added two girls to help so we wouldn't be stressed for time. Cassie did all of our hair and my make up. She was fast, efficient and very down to earth. Micaela helped with pre curls and she already seemed like she was a pro. “My husband and I were beyond impressed with our entire experience with Debra Aslanidis Photography. From start to finish Debra made my experience as a bride so smooth and stress-free. Wedding planning can be a stressful process, but Debra provided excellent communication about what to expect leading up to the wedding and the day of, so we felt very at ease the entire time. When I ran into an unrelated issue (a problem with another vendor), Debra reached out and sent me recommendations and offered support while I dealt with the situation. It was unbelievably kind and not at all expected, but it really made me feel cared for and I appreciated Debra going above and beyond for me! On the day of our wedding, Debra and her partner Jeremy were absolutely phenomenal. For one, they worked so perfectly together. We had guests complimenting how well they worked and coordinated together! I seriously can’t thank them enough for not only being amazing photographers, but also helping with other tasks that they voluntarily did. I seriously felt like they assumed the role of our wedding coordinators at times, since we didn’t have one, by providing suggestions and opinions since they’re the experienced ones when it comes to weddings! I couldn’t be more thankful for their confidence and comfortability in doing so! Finally, I am seriously blown away by the fact that we got our photos about a month after our wedding day! Debra has worked weddings, engagement shoots, and other photoshoots every single weekend and has a family, yet still managed to bust her butt to finish our photos, and it was the best surprise to get our photos back right before celebrating one month of marriage. I am so in love with our photos and have looked at them every single day, multiple times a day, since getting them back. Photos are the one thing you keep from your wedding day (besides your memories!), and I am absolutely in love with the final photos! The editing is beautiful, and I’m so happy we prioritized finding a photographer who emphasizes the behind-the-scenes and candid moments. I love that our pictures are 100% in the moment and capture the real, raw emotions of everyone! There were several detailed shots of our venue and decor and I love those just as much as I love the ones of me, my husband, our families, and our friends! They’re all so stunning!! I spend most of my time between Michigan and the southwest, eating pizza, finding the best vintage stores, checking out national parks and bike parks, and watching as many sunsets as I can.

“When I was in the throes of wedding planning over a year ago, I was reaching out to vendors and putting payments down for June 2, 2024, and was crossing my fingers my deployed fiancé would even be able to attend, thanks to his unpredictable schedule. Amidst the stress (and borderline panic attacks!!) I was having because of that, I was also receiving a lieu of impersonal emails with quotes from photographers. When I got the email back from Jessica, she was the only one who answered with excitement and personality, and gave me a sense that this was supposed to be FUN. All this wedding planning was a very lucky sort of stress, and she didn’t make me feel like I was just some box to check off in her inbox— she was personable and friendly, and I liked her immediately. For the course of the year, Jessica and I kept up with eachother with texts, messages, and Instagram— and I felt like she was already a friend when June arrived. Even after her 12 hour journey to Virginia, she was full of energy and ready to go. She helped adjust some coordination timelines and caught things that I otherwise wouldn’t have. She hung out with my rambunctious family all weekend, witnessing our love and laughter, WIDE range of personalities, and even some sisterly tiffs. Honestly, she whole-heartedly became part of our crew. She ran everything past me when it came to details. Duke and I are not people who are comfortable in front of a camera, and I LOVED having her specifically tell us what to do to look good, while still feeling incredibly relaxed and natural around her. Duke and I kept saying she had Jedi powers the way she was able to flip cameras, batteries and equipment seamlessly. I’m writing this while in the airport leaving our honeymoon, and not only did Duke and I, and our families fall in love with Jessica— I still have guests reaching out to me via text to tell me how they hit it off with her on their own, how impressed they were with her ethic, or how they loved pictures from our sneak peek (eeeek!) I am not a girl who naturally feels pretty or comfortable in front of a camera. Jessica gave me the gift of finally experiencing both of those things on our special day. I felt beautiful and at ease. She captured the bridal portraits that I hope my great grandkids will put in their family tree projects for school one day, some of Dukes family and mine meeting for the first time, friends dancing, and our grandparents mingling and giving us their love. Duke and I knew our big white wedding would be our one chance to have everyone we love in one place. We are well aware of the rarity in that, and the fact that we don’t have much longer with some of those people we love. We’re well aware that these are the photos Duke and I will be looking at with our grandchildren when we’re old and grey, thinking about “the good ol’ days.” These photos are all we will have left one day of the people we love so fiercely, and these versions of ourselves. We will endlessly be grateful for Jessica of her effort and the labor that went into photographing a weekend like ours. She captured every single aspect of us and those we love, and above all us, gave us the gift of memory. 3 Faith and Duke”
