I had my wedding Astoria Banquet Hall and it was absolutely incredible. Throughought the process, the management team (Max, in particular) was very helful in all regards. He made us feel welcomed, always reassured us, and always knew the answer to our questions before we even asked them. Instructions, choices, layout and format was all very clear. It was very helpful to a Type-A planner like myself. My wife and I had had our food tasting and the Chef was very friendly. He made us feel at home and the food was incredible. He and his staff made sure that all food accomodations were taken care of. On the day of the wedding, the staff was so kind and welcoming. They assisted us immediately in whatever we needed. It felt like we were working with Family. We recommend Astoria to any and all who want to have an amazing venue for any special event. But as always, you reap what you sow. We made sure that we and our party gave the up-most respect to Astoria Staff and Crew, and because of that, we were met with equal, if not more, kindness and respect! We're very grateful for them!

We are so grateful to Bay Pointe (especially Ashley, Juno, and Lauren) for helping us host a spectacular event. We had our event at the Bay Pointe Pavilion and it was so lovely. We had a gorgeous evening and the weather was perfect. The grounds were beautiful with early June flowers blooming. Bay Pointe also had added more ceremony space flowers which really made it look even better. The food was great and everyone loved our drink menu. Overall, Bay Pointe made everything so easy that day because of how comprehensive the services they offer are. Everyone commented to us that we had the most peaceful, stress-free wedding they had been to in a long time. Even for myself as the bride/wedding planner, I felt like everything was handled and I could actually relax and enjoy the day.

My husband and I looked at one place before the Marriott for our wedding, and the second we saw the Marriott and started speaking to the sales manager, we were sold. They were so accommodating from start to finish. Jill, Faby, and the entire team met and exceeded every single one of our expectations. The marriott @ burr ridge is not only an amazing location, our guests loved it, the rooms were nice and updated, affordable pricing, BEAUTIFUL and HUGE ballroom, great food, and I cannot think of one reason not to book here. If you want a stress-free wedding process at a place that you. your future spouse, and all of your guests are going to love, then look no further. Segnatore is a Humboldt Park Neighborhood restaurant inspired by the hidden history of the folk healers in Italy. Influenced by the anthropology in the evolution of traditional and regional Italian cooking, Segnatore's menu created by chef Matt Troost is rooted in tradition and flipped with a contemporary twist that is made to be approachable and communal dining focused. There is an emphasis on utilizing herbs and ingredients that are locally available. All bread and pasta served at Segnatore is made in-house. The beverage program designed by Natalie Smythe follows Italian traditions of using what is local, naturally available, and provides a little something for everyone. There is thought and intention put behind every partnership and ingredient included on the menu; wine, spirits, beer and plenty of Italian non-alcoholic options, including coffee and tea, to satisfy all cravings. The staff was amazing and the food was so good. The manager and service staff made sure we always had a drink in our hand, gave us space to chat and connect with our families and made us feel right at home. My mom has a food allergy, but they made a single dish for every course that she could eat and warned her when there was a dish that might cause issues. They made sure all of our family felt taken care of, which was so special to me. The food is top notch. Lasagna and risotto are definite highlights, so don't miss those!

We are so grateful we had the Fairlie as our wedding venue. The entire team is amazing and so helpful. It is a stunning and reasonably priced location. We did not have a wedding planner nor coordinator and I feel that was possible because of the help of the great Fairlie team - Alison, Alexis, and Orlando were amazing. They helped us build out our day of timeline and helped so much with last minute items that came up. We had no clue who to choose as a caterer & it was great that their team requires you to work with one of their preferred caterers - we could not have been happier with the caterer we met because of the Fairlie. Because they do this - everything is seamless. Our guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous of a venue the Fairlie is. Choose the Fairlie - it's the most beautiful venue in Chicago!

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Walden Chicago. From the moment we toured the venue with Maria, we knew it was the perfect place for our November 2024 wedding. A huge added perk that we quickly learned was going to make a huge difference in our wedding planning experience was the included in-house planning team. Kalila and Alyssa supported us from beginning to end. Throughout the planning process both Kalila and Alyssa were attentive and responsive. Whether they were recommending vendors, answering one of many questions, helping us sort through rehearsal dinner options, or navigating final meetings and details they were with us through every step of the way. The online planning tool you gain access to through Walden helps you stay organized and makes sure you don’t forget any detail (big or small). When we had a slight mishap with our cake the day of the wedding they had already reached out to the bakery on our behalf before the wedding was over and a partial refund for the cake was secured by the next morning. Our wedding day ran smoothly thanks to Kalila and Alyssa. I felt as though I did not have to worry about a thing. The planning team handled all communication with vendors and kept us on schedule which allowed for us both to be very present on our big day. I have to highlight the spacious bridal suite as it was the perfect place to start the day. With 9 bridesmaids, a mother of the bride and a mother of the groom you naturally worry about any space feeling cramped but the separate getting ready stations and lounge area allowed everyone to be relaxed and comfortable the morning of the wedding and throughout the wedding day. This was also the perfect space to be tucked away post ceremony to enjoy our first moments together as newlyweds. Walden had our signature drinks and the appetizers waiting for us to enjoy a quiet moment alone before heading down to join our cocktail hour. The rooftop at golden hour made for some breathtaking photos, the ceremony space lit with candles crated the perfect ambiance for our Friday evening ceremony, and the cocktail and reception spaces decorated to fit our vision made for the most memorable day. After the tasting party a few months prior to the wedding, we knew the food and drinks were going to be a stand out part of the evening. Because we were given multiple options for appetizers, salads, mains and drinks, we were really able to personalize the menus to our taste. Guests raved about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Walden seamlessly accommodated various guests food restrictions and allergies as well. As we look back on our wedding day, all we can do is smile. The combination of the beautiful spaces, top-notch planning, and incredible food and drinks made our special day even more memorable. We highly recommend Walden to any couple looking to make their Chicago wedding dreams come true.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago in 2021. Everything was perfect, from the staff, to the food (friends still talk about it today), to the wedding planner (Shari), to the epic ringing in of the New Year!! We still visit this venue on anniversaries and think fondly of the memories here. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a space that people will talk about for years to come.

Overall we had an amazing experience with Tara! She guided us from the very beginning to the very end on our special day. She is helpful, knowledgeable and patient. All email communication we had were always answered. The planning process is stressful however, Tara made it very smooth and easier. Chase, who was the lead server on the big night was amazing! He made sure we were always taken care of. We never went thirsty with him around :) Everything we put on paper came to life. The venue was super clean, smelled great and Food was delicious. My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

LouLou rocks. We love Lula Cafe so no surprise LouLou was perfect. Everyone we worked with was so generous with the time they gave us to answer our questions or do walk throughs (it honestly felt like we had a wedding planner in their coordinator). The space itself is cozy, intimate and chic, and the staff was so genuinely kind on our wedding day. The food was out of control - had no business being so good. If you're looking for a venue, this is your sign. 10 out of 10 no notes.

Royal Palms has always held a special place in our hearts. At the beginning of our relationship, I joined a league with my now-husband’s best friends. Shuffleboard (and Shuffleboard Bobs) brought us together, and they welcomed me into the group. We were league regulars and made some great memories, even though we rarely won a game. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted an untraditional wedding experience and were so excited that Royal Palms was willing to host us - their first wedding! Their events coordinator, Taylor, was just as enthusiastic and worked closely with us to plan an incredible event. We walked down a shuffleboard aisle on the roof while the Blue Line passed behind us, making for some incredible photos. Captain Scott gave our guests tutorials while they ate Big Star tacos from a truck and drank amazing cocktails. The energy was incredible, and it meant the world to us to see our families and friends connecting over rounds of shuffleboard. Hosting was easy - the space is already so beautiful that we did not bring in any decorations! No flowers or linens needed. Catering from a food truck was fun and unique. The photo station was fully stocked with props. The AV equipment was ready for a DJ and we kept our custom playlist bumping all night. The bartenders kept energy high and drinks flowing all night (truly the best bar in the city, in my opinion!). We danced and ate and played for hours. Our guests still talk about this night to this day. It was a party to remember, which is exactly what we wanted. Even better than the wonderful memories, pictures, and stories is the fact that we can go back whenever we want to relive the night. Even after two kids, we still make a point of playing a round of shuffleboard every year on our anniversary - it will be 6 years this fall! We cannot thank the Royal Palms staff enough for working with us. They are high-energy and fun, and they are also professional and take their clients’ experience very seriously. You would never know ours was their first wedding - they had every single detail covered, resulting in a seamless night. I look back on that night with nothing but happy memories. I wouldn’t change a single thing!

I recently attended a wedding industry networking event at Magik Street, and the space truly lives up to its name. The outdoor patio space was a huge plus, we enjoyed being able to step out and enjoy the firepits! . The food was a big highlight. The passed appetizers were thoughtfully presented, elevated bites that felt both creative and satisfying. The stations were equally impressive, offering a variety of options that catered to different tastes. I hadn’t seen live food stations at a networking event before it was a nice touch! Everything felt intentional and well-executed, adding to the overall experience rather than just filling a requirement. Overall, Magik Street delivered not just a venue for our event, but an experience. It’s a space that fosters connection, creativity, and memorable experience, especially notable for events rooted in design and celebration like in the wedding industry. This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!
