About this venue

The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Exposed ductwork is accented by brick walls and hardwood flooring. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and a number of other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000-square-feet of space. 300 people seated or 250 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.

    We had been eyeing The Haight long before we were engaged. The venue itself is beautiful. We received SO many compliments about the entire team from our AMAZING coordinator, Melissa, the security officers, the bar, and to the design coordinator, Bree. The Haight includes a coordinator that not only helps you with your wedding day, but throughout the entire process. Melissa kept me at ease. She knew exactly what she was doing, she was flexible, understanding and kind. The Haight made going home so easy, with packing up all our belongings. We cannot recommend The Haight, and especially, Melissa. You made our day so amazing. 3

    The absolute best venue! When Kyle and I first looked at The Haight we knew it was the perfect venue for us! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible for the venue and The Bar! We worked with Bree and Lauren! We attended some of the Open House events they held and that helped tremendously with planning our wedding! My family and friends keep saying how impressed they were with the venue and the staff!! We couldn’t of asked for a better day! We highly recommend The Haight for your wedding!

    The Haight is an awesome option for those who are looking for something off of the traditional path. The venue has amazing flexibility to serve folks in need of gathering space for all sorts of purposes. It can be decorated simply or ornately and still looks amazing. If you're looking for a city feel with the value and ease of a suburban event, look no further!
