It was originally built as a stucco home, in what was an area of parceled farms. Over time, the house was expanded and was eventually converted into a stone estate. The house fell into disrepair and in 1994, came into our guardianship. We have been working ever since to return it to its former glory. Stonehouse, with its arched windows, and open porches, would serve as a picturesque backdrop for any function. We have a luxurious indoor space that accommodates 70 guests. The Huntington is Boston’s leading professional theatre and one of the region’s premier cultural assets. The building holds two large rental spaces, with additional lobby and catering areas. The Huntington Theatre is a 739-seat proscenium-style theatre, regularly used for performances and events. On the second floor of the west wing, is the Maso Studio, a fully convertible black box space, with a maximum seating capacity of 227. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir.
