“For a good time, call Rocket Entertainment. We had an absolute blast getting to work with DJ Holliday and Rocket Entertainment. They provided sound for our ceremony, a sound/music set up for our dinner and reception, and a DJ facade for our open dance area with lights and karaoke. Their planning process and collaboration is made super easy with the Vibo app which lets you upload your timeline and any music you want played in a very organized format. As a type A individual, I really enjoyed that part. Throughout the night DJ Holliday kept the dance floor full and got all the cues right. He was an absolute joy to have at our wedding and I would highly recommend Rocket Entertainment for any event in the central Alabama area!”

“We had to book last minute because our DJ canceled on us! And we are so glad we did! The way these guys have it organized was so much better than the previous DJ. They have you pick every song and little detail to get things just right! It went just like we wanted! The other DJ just told us to make a spotify playlist and send it to him. Didn't ask about ceremony music or anything! I think we dodged a bullet! So glad Willow was so accommodating with getting us in last minute and taking the time to make sure things were right! “I would go as far to say my now husband and I have different music taste. We love hardcore music, but naturally, it wasn't entirely appropriate for our wedding reception. HOWEVER, working with Rob G was an absolute dream, and we were able to incorporate so many different styles of music into our night that everyone was able to have an amazing time. He seamlessly blended from our favorite hardcore bands like Every Time I Die all the way to Bad Bunny, and was even able to throw in a song created by one of our guests. He incorporated so many genres of music and was such an insanely positive energy of the evening. We had so many guests just flabbergasted at how awesome our DJ was, and we are now in process of looking for an excuse to hire him again. Cannot recommend Rob G from Second Song enough!!!!”

It was affordable as far as wedding add-ons goes and classed up the wedding, our guests were all excited and impressed. Our violinist was incredibly talented and added an incredible flair. We chose a hip hop theme he nailed it (classy but also super fun and energetic). My only regret is that we were so busy that we didn't get to stop and truly appreciate it as much as we should have. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. “We are so thankful we found Southern City Lights to be our wedding band last month! From the start David’s communication was quick and thorough-answering every question we had with ease and making the hiring and contract process smooth. His attention to detail and expertise allowed us to fix a timeline error that would have impacted the flow of the reception in a noticeable way! We selected a 5 piece band for our reception with a female vocalist that also plays the piano and she surprised us by bringing her saxophone!!! (I wish I could remember her name!!) While they have a MASSIVE song list to choose from the will learn up to 3 new songs for your first dance, father/daughter and mother/son The reception was amazing they read the room and played so many different styles of music and kept the energy HIGH! While the highlight was the live band, we also hired SCL to DJ our ceremony and cocktail hour-they allowed me to make a playlist for each however also offered to use one of their playlists if you don’t have the time to create one. It was great to know this was taken care of without any issues! Other notable perks is they have a large travel radius before charging for distance and they don’t require a stage as long as there is a dedicated space away which helped with expenses! “We used Sam Hill Entertainment to book the band “The Dickens”. This is the part of our wedding everyone is still talking about. They played such a variety that every age was able to enjoy. Not a single person was sitting at the tables while the Dickens were on the stage. Xtreme Party Band, also known as Deep Velvet Band, is an Atlanta-based high-energy live party, wedding, and corporate event band built to move the crowd. Our dynamic 6-piece features powerhouse female and male vocals, keys, drums, bass, and guitar, with optional horns and additional vocalists for an even bigger sound. Our diverse repertoire spans Motown, Beach Music, 70s–90s, Pop, Classic Rock, R&B, Blues, and today’s hits. With big-stage experience and musicians connected to artists including Gladys Knight, Keith Sweat, and Otis Redding’s musical legacy, we bring professional musicianship, nonstop energy, and unforgettable entertainment to every event.
