August 2026 Wedding!

We are so thankful we found Southern City Lights to be our wedding band last month! From the start David’s communication was quick and thorough-answering every question we had with ease and making the hiring and contract process smooth. His attention to detail and expertise allowed us to fix a timeline error that would have impacted the flow of the reception in a noticeable way! We selected a 5 piece band for our reception with a female vocalist that also plays the piano and she surprised us by bringing her saxophone!!! (I wish I could remember her name!!) While they have a MASSIVE song list to choose from the will learn up to 3 new songs for your first dance, father/daughter and mother/son The reception was amazing they read the room and played so many different styles of music and kept the energy HIGH! While the highlight was the live band, we also hired SCL to DJ our ceremony and cocktail hour-they allowed me to make a playlist for each however also offered to use one of their playlists if you don’t have the time to create one. It was great to know this was taken care of without any issues! Other notable perks is they have a large travel radius before charging for distance and they don’t require a stage as long as there is a dedicated space away which helped with expenses! We’ve had the pleasure of working with this band multiple times, and they never disappoint! They absolutely made our Christmas party unforgettable — the energy, talent, and professionalism were incredible from start to finish. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was. Not only are they exceptionally talented musicians, but they are also wonderful to work with behind the scenes. They consistently bring great energy, read the crowd perfectly, and create such a fun and memorable atmosphere. I highly recommend them for any corporate event, party, or special occasion.
