Our 50 acre historical venue includes an 1827 antebellum style home and 5,100 sq ft barn build specifically as a wedding venue space. 200 year old trees and our vineyards are an incredible backdrop for photos. 2 ponds adjacent to the barn reflect the perfect sunsets.

Longacre boasts over 2 acres of boxwood and garden spaces to create a beautiful outdoor and English Garden wedding scene. We have several locations within the grounds for receptions and ceremonies to accommodate 25 to 150 guests. The Gazebo works as both a great wedding arch with the fountain area perfect for reception gathering of a Tudor house backdrop to your ceremony. Grounds can be rented for the day or the entire weekend, including the entire house and Carriage House for your caterer and wedding ready space. Make your wedding day the most unique and individually designed as you have dreamed. All catering services must be contracted through a third party. We can help you with tent and equipment rentals.

Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. Every couple and family that comes to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! Avon Hill is a laid back, luxurious wedding and vacation destination in central Virginia. We offer your choice of beautiful outdoor ceremony locations, a newly opened barn with all the modern conveniences, and lodging for up to 43 of your closest family and friends. Beautifully appointed bride and groom suites are included for your wedding and each wedding package is for a full weekend of property access.

Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.

The historic home, the parlors, porches, canopies of shade trees, and various out-buildings on the property provide many options to customize your event. The vast grounds and gardens at Pharsalia inspire seasonal, fresh floral designs with professional and creative services available to capture your vision. Poolside, on the lawn, overlooking vineyards and orchards, or wherever your desires take you; our aim is to provide a unique space where you can craft your own special day. The Historic Pharsalia home is available for dressing and pre-ceremony traditions. You will also have access to an indoor bar area, the gorgeous cocktail courtyard and our pristine flower and herb gardens where your guests can mingle and take in the majestic mountain views. We only host one wedding a weekend so the focus is on you!

We are a completely solar system venue, so not having power the day of your wedding will not be an issue. We offer multiple scenes for your pictures from open fields, apple orchard, pond, beach area, a creek, and woods. So much to choose from.
