The Odyssey Venue was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, responsive, detailed, and incredibly helpful. The quality of their work and the value they provided was simply outstanding - the venue was pristine, the setup was perfect, and the overall experience was truly beautiful and accommodating. The team at The Odyssey went above and beyond to ensure our special day went off without a hitch. They had a detailed plan A and plan B in place to account for potential weather issues, and even asked us to bring in extra decor items a couple days early so they could have everything ready and waiting for our wedding coordinators. Every single staff member, especially Isabella and Kelly, were phenomenal to work with. We actually found this venue just 40 days before our wedding, as our previous venue could not accommodate our increased guest count. The Odyssey Venue made our day truly magical and one that we will never forget. If we could do it all over again, we would choose them in a heartbeat - no hesitation whatsoever!

Beautiful venue and stunning for the price compared to a lot of locations. Really easy to work with but we found ourselves repeating details A LOT and yet some of them got lost anyways - for example, I had made a full allergy list for the reception organized by table, and yet staff brought me (the bride) food I am dangerously allergic to. It was fixed quickly but annoying because I’d spent so much time preparing this and details got lost anyways. This happened in multiple ways. Several things—ceremony set up, rehearsal timeline, etc—were easily fixed, but shouldn’t have needed to be fixed in the first place, given the amount of prep we did.

I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. I recommend AVEC with the highest level and without any hesitation if you are seeking a life time experience to be remembered for generations.

We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding venue than RPM Events. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night (and even after) to tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The terrace with sweeping city views made for an unforgettable backdrop, and the space itself is already so elegant on its own—between the gorgeous chandeliers, draping, and timeless design, it felt like a dream even before we added our own décor. The staff went above and beyond, not only ensuring every detail was seamless but also taking incredible care of our guests, including those with specific needs and allergies. Everyone felt cared for, and it truly showed. We also have to give a special shoutout to Andy and Dagne from the planning team. They were a joy to work with—fun, easy, responsive, and always on top of everything. They made the process enjoyable and stress-free, and it was clear how much they cared about making our day perfect. By the end of the night, nobody wanted it to end. We just had our wedding at Formento’s and were *amazed* by the space, food, service, vibes and overall experience. We were shocked they can fit 120 people for a wedding (or even 130 if you’re okay getting a bit cozy)—and we were so thrilled we could have a larger guest list *and* restaurant-quality (very quality!!) food and drink. Don’t pay to rent a space and bring in meh food. Have your wedding at Formento’s you will never regret it!! Their events team is immaculate: India, Karen, Julie, and so many more, and it felt like everyone from the events team to the service staff were celebrating with us. Simply the best. We’ll be back for every anniversary

Golden Years Chicago was the perfect venue for the welcome party on our wedding weekend. I picked this location because of how beautiful the landscape is. So many different spots on the property to get married on, all beautiful. Different locations cost different price. Overall, relatively cheap compared to other venues. When talking to them, I first started with one wedding coordinator. She left and was informed about the new coordinator. She introduced herself and thought she was awesome. She was very tentative to all the details and was very helpful. I wasn’t informed that she had left and a new coordinator had taken her spot. I didn’t know there was a new coordinator until the day before the wedding. She didn’t take charge of anything. She took a back seat to everything. Told her I had a specific song I wanted to play for walking down the aisle. There wasn’t any sort practice with the song at the rehearsal. She couldn’t figure out how to connect my phone to the sound system. She couldn’t figure out how to navigate the song that I had already pulled up on my phone.
