  • Starts at $6,750

John and I fell in love with Athens while attending UGA, and eventually put down roots of our own, purchasing 24 acres in the heart of Bulldog Nation in 2016. We planted 2,600 blueberry bushes and named it Damn Good Dawg Farms. Combining my background in design and the wedding industry with John's building knowledge, that farm became Hadden Estate. Today, we offer a working blueberry farm wedding experience like no other in the region. Say something blue among our blueberry rows, celebrate under chandeliers in the Estate Room, and keep the party going all weekend with The Lodge, our onsite accommodations for up to 22 guests. From quiet mornings to late nights with your closest people, a full wedding weekend at Hadden Estate feels like a true destination, just 15 minutes from Athens.

“We got married at The Chapel on Sycamore in April and it was everything that we had hoped for! The chapel itself is gorgeous with the dark wood interior and stained glass, and the outdoor space in the spring was perfect for everything from photos to cocktail hour gathering. We had 200 guests and the space was accommodating. Lisa was with us to coordinate our day from the very start and was incredibly prepared, responsive, timely, and helpful in answering my many questions throughout the planning process. She met me at the Chapel to visit multiple times to look at the space as I was planning the event. We used Oakhurst Market, a preferred caterer, for our food and got many compliments (and loved the food ourselves!). We loved the location in Decatur near restaurants and bars for our guests and the ease of travel and proximity to the city and it was easy to book parking for our guests nearby with Lisa's assistance. I would highly recommend The Chapel on Sycamore as an excellent wedding/event venue with lovely and helpful staff. The pictures included are by OliviaRosePhotography.”

“Loved having my ceremony here at the little house. I wanted to have my reception there as well, however, the City of Johns Creek requires an alcohol permit and insurance which would have cost us more than the venue cost. This is not in any way Autry Mills fault. It is not their requirement but it was disappointing to us having to make last minute venue changes for our reception.”

“Book it. You won't regret it. The space is genuinely stunning. One of the things we loved most is that it doesn't take much to make it feel special. The elegance of the venue does most of the work, so you don't have to spend a fortune trying to transform the space into something beautiful. It already is. Mallory was another huge part of what made the experience so great. She was communicative, helpful, and willing to jump in wherever she could. Planning a wedding comes with enough moving parts, and having someone who genuinely wants to help make your day everything you envisioned makes a real difference. We always felt like we had someone in our corner. The venue was actually the first thing we checked off our wedding planning list. Looking back, I'm so glad we got that decision right early on. It gave us a foundation to build the rest of the day around, and the venue delivered on everything we hoped it would be. The surrounding area was another bonus, especially for our out-of-town guests. Having great places nearby made it easy for everyone to enjoy the weekend, not just the wedding itself. We wanted our guests to have a wonderful experience from start to finish, and the location helped make that happen. At the end of the day, we wanted a venue that felt elegant, welcoming, and special without needing to overcomplicate things. That's exactly what we got. We're incredibly grateful we chose this venue. It was one of the first decisions we made, and one of the ones we're happiest with.”

“Swan Coach House does exceptional private events. We had our micro wedding on the Belle Nita patio and then had dinner in the Belle Nita room. It was a great option that "felt" like a wedding without the enormous wedding price and stress level. They served an delicious 5-course meal that was entirely gluten free and nut free -- and were so gracious about making accommodations including having gluten-free rolls! Their staff is also great about making accommodations in the regular restaurant. (Celiac note: My family has IgG wheat/gluten allergies -- NOT celiac disease. We have a higher tolerance for cross-contamination than most people with celiac, so I can't speak to how "celiac safe" this is.)”

“We had our wedding at the Wimbish House in April of 2024 and it was the most spectacular day of our lives! The venue itself is so lovely and well located in the city (near plenty of activity of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment for guests within walking distance) and does not require a lot of work to make it beautiful (the ballroom and parlors are exquisite). Karin was our wedding coordinator and she made the entire process easy and stress-free. She helped us with everything and made sure nothing slipped by during the planning. The staff is all incredible and they have such great connections with other vendors (every vendor we hired said they already had such great memories of events they worked at Wimbish and I can see why!). You cannot go wrong booking this venue!”

“Could not have asked for a better wedding venue and team. Some of the great highlights: 1. Location - being right in the middle of Midtown was perfect. A lot of our family came in from out of town, so the venue being accessible by MARTA and within a few blocks of several hotels made gathering everyone incredibly easy. 2. The team behind the wedding venue made sure our day was perfect. We had access to the bridal suite and grooms room for the whole day beforehand, and the talented staff worked hand-in-hand with us to make sure our day went smoothly. All my wife and I had to focus on was each other. Cannot reccommend them enough. 3. The venue is great! Plenty of space in the bridal and grooms rooms for our large wedding party, the lawn is an amazing place for a ceremony, and we could comfortably fit 80-100 people dancing in the reception hall.”

About wedding venues in Grayson, GA

Why Choose Georgia for Your Wedding?

Georgia offers idyllic backdrops with distinctive Southern charm across its diverse landscapes. You'll find places like The Wheeler House in North Georgia featuring gorgeous lakefront settings with flexible packages to suit your needs. Willow Creek Farm nestled in the North Georgia Mountains gives you flat terrain that's fully handicap accessible and a truly special ceremony spot where two creeks come together; perfect for those meaningful photos you'll treasure forever. What's great about Georgia venues is they work for just about any celebration you're planning, from those intimate gatherings with close family to grand affairs that include your entire social circle, with plenty of options that won't break your budget.

What's the Average Cost for Wedding Venues in Georgia?

Wedding venues in Georgia typically run about $6,399 which makes up roughly 14% of your total wedding budget. That's actually a pretty good deal when you compare it to the national average of $6,500-$12,000 where venues eat up about 25% of total wedding costs. Your total wedding budget in Georgia will grow as your guest list does. With 50 guests you're looking at around $19,646 while 100 guests pushes that to $32,489. Hosting 150 people? Budget about $44,564. For 200 guests expect to spend around $55,360 and for 250 you'll need approximately $66,155. Those planning a big celebration with 300 guests should set aside about $76,951. These figures help you plan realistically based on the celebration size you envision.

Which Georgia Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

Culinary-focused venues across Georgia deliver exceptional dining experiences your guests won't forget. Ecco in Midtown Atlanta has earned national recognition for its seasonal European cuisine with a cosmopolitan flair that food-loving couples appreciate. If Italian speaks to your heart, Pacci Italian Kitchen in Savannah serves authentic Southern Italian dishes made from the freshest ingredients that will transport you straight to the Mediterranean. Elevation Chophouse & Skybar in Kennesaw offers unique menu options prepared with fresh ingredients while Vic's on the River in Savannah provides elegant receptions with stunning views paired perfectly with refined cuisine. Seafood enthusiasts will love Lure Seafood in Midtown Atlanta famous for serving some of the city's best oceanic delights that will impress even your pickiest guests.

How Can Remote Guests Participate in Georgia Weddings?

The Foxglove in Marietta really stands out when it comes to including guests who can't attend in person. Their sophisticated technology allows remote participants to interact through synchronized lighting effects and dedicated Q&A sessions that make distance feel less significant. You can involve up to 350 remote guests in ways that go well beyond simple video streaming; they've created systems that make your distant loved ones feel truly part of your celebration with personalized touchpoints throughout the event. This approach transforms the experience from passive watching to active participation, especially meaningful for those important people who simply can't make the journey.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Georgia?

Accessible venues are available throughout Georgia to ensure all your guests can celebrate comfortably. Willow Creek Farm offers fully handicap accessible facilities with flat terrain that eliminates mobility concerns. You'll find Lilly Creek Farm combines rustic charm with thoughtfully designed wheelchair-accessible facilities including private restrooms and plenty of natural light to create a welcoming environment. When you're selecting your venue, it's always best to directly confirm specific accessibility features that matter most to your guests; things like ramps, elevators, accessible parking spots and bathroom accommodations vary widely between properties even when they claim to be fully accessible.

How Far in Advance Should You Book a Georgia Wedding Venue?

Most Georgia couples start their venue search about 13 months before their wedding date with November being the busiest month for inquiries. If you've got your heart set on a popular venue, especially for weekend dates during fall or spring, you'll want to move quickly. Georgia's peak wedding seasons run April through June and September through November when the weather is most cooperative. Popular venues during these prime times often book up 12-18 months in advance so starting early gives you the best chance at securing your dream location without having to compromise on your preferred date.

What Makes Georgia Venues Unique?

Georgia venues beautifully incorporate regional culture through distinctive experiences you won't find elsewhere. Many properties lovingly preserve their architectural details while offering all the modern amenities you'd expect. You'll discover farm-to-table menus featuring Georgia peaches and Vidalia onions alongside transformed industrial spaces with locally-crafted furnishings that tell a story. What makes Georgia venues truly special is how they blend that famous Southern tradition with contemporary style, creating settings that feel both timeless and fresh. Your guests will experience authentic Southern hospitality while enjoying spaces designed to create the perfect backdrop for your once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
