I’m Edgar, an HTX-raised native with Salvadorian roots. I am the owner, creative director, and lead photographer at Anchor Studios Photography. I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Pittsburgh, PA! However, the stories I capture don't start and end there. I love to travel to capture stories all around the world.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had our wedding in California and Edgar flew out and helped make our day so memorable! We didn't know him before and didn't end up doing an engagement shoot (so I was a little nervous) but he absolutely nailed it. His photos are stunning (I've gotten a TON of compliments on them), he is extremely communicative, and he had a bunch of photos ready to go by the end of the wedding. Both me and my husband aren't great at posing for photos and he knew exactly how to place us without it feeling faked. Super easy to work with and just a really nice guy. I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

The second Johnny walked into our venue he immediately asked how he could help. From that moment on he spent every second making sure my husband and I were not only enjoying ourselves, but taking care of ourselves. Our drinks were never empty, our smiles never left & we truly enjoyed his presence. You would have never known that we met him the night of the wedding. We got our pictures back 48 hours after and they are INCREDIBLE.

I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

Grace was a pleasure to work with during the wedding planning process. She was timely in her responses and upfront with pricing. On the day of the wedding, it felt like we were herding cats, but she remained professional and efficient. Even though we were running behind schedule with getting dressed, she managed to squeeze in a few dress shots and some first look photos. Grace remained patient even as some of our friends and family showed up late for photos! As we moved between locations, she made sure I was holding my dress in a way so that I wouldn’t fall on my face. She also helped my MOH bustle my dress after the ceremony (again, so I wouldn’t fall on my face). Grace was always cognizant of the lighting on location, and how it would affect photos. Her assistant, Joey, was lovely and accommodating as well. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Capture the North
Rating: 4.9 (19 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,950
  • Serves Grand Isle, ME

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah is an amazing photographer. I looked at probably a dozen other photographers for our wedding, but my fiancé and I were both super impressed with Sarah’s work and affordability. We recently had our engagement photos done and I was an anxious mess since I don’t normally wear make up or have my photos taken. However, I’m OBSESSED with how the photos came out. I feel so pretty looking at them and they truly represent our love and goofy relationship. Cannot wait to see the photos from our wedding next year.

Silvia Gilbert Photography

I am a caffeine addict who never sleeps. I love a good thunderstorm and playing Candy Crush for the brain breaks. I adore all kinds of dogs, but I have a special love for German Shepherds. My all-time favorite thing is to sit by the fire with a glass of good cabernet or watch the ocean waves hit the beach. I love to garden and to build things (but I let my husband to finish all my projects LOL). I enjoy good food and will likely refer to a stand up comedy routine at least once in a conversation. I am also a football mom, lacrosse mom and basketball mom. Wife to a very understanding husband and emotional support person for my big puppies.

Silvia Gilbert Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. Silvia is wonderful and very communicative, I would work with her every single time. Her photos and professionalism is top notch. She is very talented and worth every penny. She's a sweetheart and was a real champ on our wedding day, capturing all the special moments seamlessly. I wouldn't go with anyone else - 1000000% recommend her.

Savage Wedding Co.
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Grand Isle, ME

Savage Wedding Co. is for couples who want their wedding to feel like themselves — not a performance, not a production, and not something they have to manage all day. I work with a balance of structure and flexibility: enough direction to keep things moving, and enough space for moments to unfold without forcing them. I don’t chase perfection or try to smooth out every edge. Some moments are quiet. Some are awkward. Some don’t fit neatly into a highlight reel — and that’s usually where the honest stuff lives. I don’t rush past those moments or reshape them to look like something else. I let things be.

Awarded Best of Zola
Magnus was such an awesome photographer. We wanted someone who would capture both the staged and "real" moments of our special day and he did! He is also friendly and down-to-earth. There aren't many photographers who will also have casual conversations with you as well. He cared about getting to know us so he could match the vibe in his photography. He incorporated our vision for our day and captured both the large and small moments. We can't recommend him enough! Thanks Magnus!

Celestial Waves photography was by far the best choice we could have made. For one, the pictures are absolutely stunning. We got them back quickly, the system is easy to use, and the pictures are a perfect mix of posed and candid. I have gotten SO many compliments on the pictures, but also about Seth and the company itself. They did so much to help make our day special, from helping the groomsmen put on their boutonnieres to keeping everyone looking great and having fun. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our wedding day such a special day, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a phenomenal photographer.

Hazel & Spice Photography

When I first started wedding photography, I made a goal of being more than just the photographer on your big day. I made it my goal to be your friend, someone you can crack inside jokes with, and someone who isn't afraid to get down + have fun at the reception (while still doing her job). I made it my goal to capture more than just photos, but an experience. Whether it’s high in the mountains, on a beach near the ocean, in a forest meadow - you deserve to get married however you want to & I want to capture it for you.

We were thrilled to work with Hazel & Spice Photography for our wedding day. From our first conversation, Lexi's enthusiasm and kindness made us feel confident we'd made the right choice. She has a gift for making everyone feel at ease in front of the camera, which showed in our engagement session and throughout the wedding day—the photos are absolutely gorgeous. What really stood out was how genuinely invested she was in capturing our relationship and the moments that mattered to us. Beyond her incredible talent behind the lens, Lexi is just a lovely person to be around, which made the whole experience feel special. We couldn't be happier with our decision and highly recommend her to any couple looking for a photographer.

Hi ya’ll! I’m Nat. I’m a southerner who’s recently moved to New England. I am thrilled to be a photographer and part of making memories with you! There is something truly special about being the person who creates lasting stories to share. My love for photography began when my great grandmother gave me her point and shoot camera, and since then, I have been hooked. Some of my favorite things include espresso tonics, thunderstorms, and bookstores. As a photographer, I live for the fleeting moments of light and stories. I do my best to capture those moments with my cameras, and I find great joy in doing so.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I are both awkward and uncomfortable around being photographed. Natalie put both of us at ease, understood our vision, and helped bring it to life. She was responsive and supportive in the process of putting together the photoshoot, and very receptive to our creative ideas. We were absolutely blown away by the photos and amazed how she was able to easily direct us in a way that we didn't even focus on the fact we were being photographed. I highly recommend Natalie, especially as a safe and supportive photographer. We're grateful to have found such a wonderful photographer in Natalie to capture such important and loving moments, especially because both my partner and I felt unphotogentic and uncertain of how to show our connection prior to meeting her.

BrightWorks Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $4,800
  • Serves Grand Isle, ME

I have a long history as a photographer, starting in my twenties with large format view cameras, publishing a book of black and white portraits of Newfoundlanders, studying under Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, and with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, my cameras and equipment are all the latest digital models, but I still rely on my experience and a well trained eye for capturing the optimal moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
When my now husband and I first found BrightWorks photography, I was most happy with the attention to color and detail, as well as, the limited editing they seemed to use in their photography. Photographers I had previously been looking, before finding BrightWorks, seemed to place a haze, white cast, or “gloomy” filter on their photography, instead we wanted our photos to be genuine and timeless to last for a lifetime. The BrightWorks team, Stephen and Rebecca, not only photographed the important details of our day but the images captured the colors, fine details, and warm energy our guests brought to our wedding day. Little did I know when we booked BrightWorks that my husband and I would be blown away by the images we got from our engagement shoot and wedding. Weeks before our wedding, Steven and Rebecca took the time to put names to faces before our wedding date so they could just find our loved ones for pictures. Steven and Rebecca truly were the perfect team, they were flies on the wall the entire day and wedding guests said that they seemed to capture every precious moment of the day. We could not be more grateful for BrightWorks.

My mission is to make things FEEL incredibly fun, easy and light all while looking incredibly elegant, true to color and timeless. From the first phone call with Jordan, you can tell how much care and pride she puts into her work. We knew she was the right photographer right away. She is clear with communication, helps you out if you’re not a natural in front of the camera, and minimizes the chaos that weddings can bring. Her presence on our wedding day is something we are so grateful for- truly just a joy to be around. Our preview photos came out so soon & they are so beautiful. Amazing service, amazing communication, professional, and a dream come true for my husband and I. Could not recommend Jordan more!!!

We feel so lucky to have found Andrew as our wedding photographer. He has an incredible eye for the editorial style and makes his photos into works of art with golden light and chiaroscuro. So many photographers just rely on their high-res equipment but don't offer anything more--I don't want a macro shot of every pore or line on my face like an owl in a tree at 100 yards, I want to have a sense of magic and beauty in every photo. Andrew actually does that. I almost cried when I saw our first look photos because I don't feel very confident being photographed and I finally had dozens of photos of myself and my husband that I want to share with friends immediately and cherish forever. He delivered the first look so fast, even though I know he was busy working another wedding; I thought for sure we would have to wait longer. The wedding package we chose included very nice touches like polaroids so we had something in hand at the end of the wedding day itself, too. It was very thoughtful and left us feeling good about the whole experience right away. He was very personal and nice to work with, but not intrusive, and went with the little schedule changes we had, and was open to suggestions while we took post-ceremony photos around the city. I couldn't be happier with our experience with him and would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a real artist for their wedding photography.

Hi there! I'm Alisha, a photographer in Boston, MA specializing in weddings, newborns and families. Crazy mix, don't you think? Maybe a little bit, but I love every minute of it! I believe that there is no picture more beautiful than that of someone in love, so I use my skills to capture specifically that – the emotion, the moment, the glow. I strive to create beautiful timeless photos for you to cherish and share for future generations.

Alisha was easily the BEST decision we made for our wedding. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she brings such a calming, grounding presence that gave us peace of mind throughout the entire day. In the months leading up to the wedding she was responsive, organized, and easy to work with. On the wedding day, she was a true professional—adhering to the timeline we created with ease, and never feeling the least bit intrusive. She made sure to capture every photo combination we requested and skillfully wrangled a bridal party of 21 including 3 flower girls, and 2 babies—all with patience and a smile. And the photos?… absolutely stunning! Her eye for composition is exceptional, and every image feels thoughtful, artistic, and timeless. They look like they belong in a magazine and many people have told us so. We received a TON of photos in our gallery. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend Alisha a thousand times over. She exceeded every expectation!

A Charleston Wedding Photographer with a fierce love for storytelling, fostering memories and capturing those moments that you will want to treasure forever. I get to tell your story. And, I think that’s pretty cool. I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.

Kelsie Elizabeth Photography

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $8,500
  • Serves Grand Isle, ME

Kelsie has long been captivated by the quiet magic of photography—the way a single frame can preserve memory, emotion, and legacy. Her earliest work, documenting her uncle’s final birthday, revealed the depth of what an image could hold: joy, grief, love, and connection. Today, she approaches every story with that same reverence, blending artistry and intention to capture fleeting moments that become timeless heirlooms—images that carry meaning long after the day has passed.

Having Kelsie as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding! Kelsie is fun, thoughtful, organized, flexible, and such a talented photographer. Her previous experience as an event planner shone through as she kept in touch and asked careful questions to get to know us and think through our vision. Covid got in the way of many of our plans and we had to reorganize our whole wedding just days out, but Kelsie’s eye for balancing big moments and small details really captured all the special parts of our day. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how our photos and wedding album turned out!

Meeting around 10 years ago and instantly becoming best friends, Jason and Nichole have now been married for 5 beautiful years. They share two children and when they aren't creating amazing wedding day memories for their clients they are out exploring. You can find them skiing, hiking, camping, and even traveling the country in their van when time permits!

Nichole and Jason have been nothing but professional throughout our booking process, engagement photos, and wedding weekend. All of the photos we've received so far we have been absolutely blown away with how good they are. They were great communicating to make sure our needs were met. We felt so comfortable with them and see them not only as our wedding photographer and videographer but someone my husband and I could be friends with. They were really great making sure our Indian fusion wedding was beautifully captured. I can't wait to see all of the photos but the sneak peaks were so good. They also asked questions about the ceremonies that we had to ensure they knew how best to document as well as wanting to sincerely learn more about the culture. You will not regret hiring these two. I would hire them both again in a heartbeat! This husband/wife team creates magic!

I hold a Certificate in Photography from the Hallmark Institute of Photography and am also self taught. When I'm not creating, I'm with my supportive husband and our 2 cats Pumpkin & Goblin. We love traveling, trying new things, and discovering great food. My passion for photography began in childhood, inspired by my mother's photos and 90s magazine ads.

From the moment we booked Sage & Iron Creations for our wedding, their communication was nothing short of perfection. Ashley and her team were prompt, proper, and incredibly friendly throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and creative talent was on full display on our wedding day, as they effortlessly captured every special moment. Ashley's pictures speak for themselves - she has a true gift for her craft. My husband David and I had a more non-traditional darker wedding, and Ashley perfectly encapsulated the unique feel we were going for. I cannot recommend Sage & Iron Creations enough for your next event or celebration. Ashley and her team are not only supremely talented, but also down-to-earth and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Hi! I'm Amy Ronk, a photographer currently based in Colorado, USA. After attending photography school, weddings kind of stole my heart. I love love of every kind, and it's always such an honor to be considered to capture your wedding day. I focus mainly on candid moments, and showcasing the emotions of the day. I think it's important to walk away from your wedding with timeless, beautiful photos that will remind you just how special your day was.

We hired Amy for our wedding and we couldn’t have made a better choice!! First off, Amy is so warm and nice – she instantly makes you feel comfortable. She was great to work with and was very responsive with questions. She was always timely and organized. We first met with her for our engagement photos. We are both a little awkward around a camera but Amy got some amazing shots and helped us pose really naturally and with some natural cues and poses. We absolutely loved our fall engagement photos. Amy did an amazing job capturing our wedding as well. She was amazing at capturing natural moments. She asked for a detailed shot list – this helped her run through all of the family photos quickly. She sent us a sneak peak of some photos the day after the wedding – which was awesome. We cannot wait to get the final shots back.
