“After friends shared a photo of my then fiance and me at their own wedding, we hired the photographer who took it. This was Nina! That one photo inspired us to review the gallery of their entire wedding and then her portfolio and we were blown away. 7 months later our own wedding day arrived. My husband and I are the type of people who are wildly present and constantly forget to take photographs of our life together. We knew we wanted to capture this day without the photography becoming a chore or hindering our ability to do what we do best and enjoy our time. Nina was able to provide just that and was incredible (as was the second photographer she worked with for our big day). Nina seamlessly handled all the chaotic moments and pre-ceremony stress of the very emotional bride (me) in stride! He was super focused, detail orientated, bilingual, fun and laid back. He captured so many incredible behind the scene moments and my family kept saying we didn’t even see him take that picture. “Working with Villa was one of the best choices we made as part of wedding planning. During the initial planning, she was responsive, thoughtful, and considerate of our vision. She understands that most people have never planned a wedding before helped us not only plan photos, but reorganize our reception to flow better. My husband and I are very photo shy, enough so that we debated on whether or not to even hire a photographer for the wedding. Villa was so great at directing interesting, natural poses that didn't feel forced or awkward in the moment. We opt-ed not to do an engagement shoot, but if we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would with Villa. During day of, Villa was extremely detailed and organized. She arrived early to the venue to capture photos and understand the space overall. She was very good about taking photos in a way that didn't interrupt the flow of events while navigating a fairly large and irregularly shaped venue. We received a great blend of editorial and photo-journalistic images that really captured the day beautifully. She has a great eye for wide shots, close up details, and artistic framing. Our wedding day started on a sunny day at noon and ended in the evening. Villa shot great photos throughout all the lighting changes during the day including many flash photography and low light shots after the sun had set. We had a great experience sharing our wedding day with Villa and think you would too!”

Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyone's way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. We would work again with Chris in a heartbeat and friends have already requested his contact information for their ceremony. As an added bonus, because we did not end up using Chris for all of the allotted time, he offered to do a separate photoshoot whenever we would like. It's those little attention to details and customer service which make Chris stand out from the rest. “As you’ll come to see with vendors, not all of them are very responsive, Barbora was always responsive no matter what time I texted her and had a question to ask her prior to the wedding. She’s punctual (something I care a lot about), she’s very organized (had a timeline and stuck to it) she is also very reliable so that made me comfortable. On the wedding day, she was a delight to be around. She worked so so hard. I literally got to a point where I had to remind her to go have her meal. She took what I thought were beautiful pictures. I wanted spontaneous and organic pictures and she captured just that. I am very awkward in front of the camera (and so is my husband), she helped direct us and made us comfortable. I also wanted pictures in front of the DC monuments, as you can imagine they’re crazy busy on the weekend but she managed to direct us along with the rest of our group and took some of the most beautiful photos (I thought). What I valued the most about Barbora is that it felt like she genuinely cared. It wasn’t a job that she had to go to, she really enjoyed what she was doing.”
