He was very early, and set up with plenty of time to spare. His speaker system and microphones for toasts worked great. He brought his own lights to add to the party and even added some to our sweetheart table to spice it up! “Justing was a fantastic DJ! We gave him a short list of must-plays then let him do the rest, and he was great at reading the room and playing what the people wanted. He took requests from guests if they fit the vibe and was totally okay saying no too which is exactly what we wanted. We even had some guests asking for his playlist before the night was over. He brought tons of speakers and lights, and even some wireless speakers to play the same music in multiple rooms, including outside on the deck for cocktail hour. Everything went off without a hitch. We also got the photo booth add-on which ended up getting a ton of use and people loved it. Sawyer was manning the booth and 5 stars to him as well!”

“My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. The band worked well together - and we just cannot say enough about how much they added to the party. Patrick joined a zoom call we had w our planner a week or so earlier than the event - and went over every detail - completely putting our minds at ease. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!! They truly made our event the best it could have possibly been! I want to do it again!”

Our guests were on the dance floor all night and are still raving about how incredible the band was. “Me oh my, how do we even begin to describe our friends at King of Hearts? My wife Julia and I did intensive research on every band option possible, and it was the charm, grace, warmth, and orientation to producing a custom experience--all clear from our first phone call with Mark--that sold us. "When you know, you know" as they say, and boy was this the case with Mark and his amazing crew at KOH. We contracted for the 9 piece band and had a number of special songs that needed to be played for special people in our guest list (a friend's birthday that day, another couple's wedding anniversary, and honoring a friend's late mother's birthday). Mark did not hesitate to collaboratively plan with us to ensure these surprises were delivered with seamless ease. I also planned a flash mob for my fiance which involved the band playing in at the end over a pre recorded song and segueing into the full set without skipping a beat. Mark was game for all of it. It's clear from the first time you talk to him, King of Hearts is this man's baby. He cares for it deeply and takes enormous pride in the finished product. Mark is also an exceptional emcee of sorts. In lieu of anyone else in that role, at the dinner Mark played host to introduce our best man speeches and other major moments, flashing that incredible smile of his and charming the entire tent of 170 guests. Multiple people approached me during and after the big day to ask, "Who IS this man?" He is truly exceptional at what he does. The quality of the full band is [insert 100 emoji here]. It really made the night. Guest after guest came up to me while dancing to say what amazing energy the band set for the whole evening. Folks who *are not dancers* made their way to the dance floor--and stayed. About half of the guest list were trained musicians or vocalists or creatives of some sort (big a cappella nerd over here) and even the hardest to impress among them were taken by the show KOH put on. It's hard to have a critique of these folks! Even a small hiccup with our first dance song was seamlessly corrected within seconds and the rest of the night went off without a hitch. We regret not getting to know the other band members, but we vibed with them (all)(night)(long). Big love to these guys! Don't hesitate to book them.”

Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

All of our guests are STILL talking about how great Joe was - he picked perfect songs that were a hit with our crowd across generations and included some of our all time favorites as well. We gave him a few do not plays and just a couple must plays, but he handled the rest perfectly!! Fine Tune Entertainment has an easy to use planning website, where we were able to edit our timeline and song choices throughout the process - this helped keep everything super organized. Joe was excellent at keeping the schedule moving with speeches, photos and dancing. We also used Fine Tune Entertainment's sister company for the photo booth which was incredibly high quality and a major HIT with our guests. They had the option to get digital copies or take home a printed one! We added 10 up lights to our space as well and Joe perfectly managed color changes to enhance the party vibe. Aside from missing our initial meeting, Alex was easy to work with and seemed to have a solid understanding of our music preferences. About two weeks before the wedding, he let us know he’d need to assign another DJ and assured us we’d have a chance to connect with the new DJ beforehand, but that call never happened. We met our assigned DJ, Meshach, for the first time on the day of our wedding. Meshach was friendly, professional, and kept the dance floor full all night — our guests had a great time and the overall energy was fantastic. That said, we were disappointed that several of our “must play” songs were skipped, even after we had our wedding party ask him multiple times to go back to the request list. One of our chosen songs was also played as an instrumental version by mistake. The open dancing portion leaned more toward crowd requests and generic party tracks than the specific vibe we had curated. Overall, the night was still fun and the DJ delivered a lively performance, but stronger communication before the event and closer attention to our "must play" songs would have made the experience five-star worthy.”
