“Summit Events was the perfect choice for our wedding entertainment! Having a fun dance floor and awesome music has been something that I have dreamed about forever. I was nervous to find the right fit and was so relieved to have found Summit Events. From the beginning, we ended up working with the DJ who would perform the night of. Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! We highly recommend Summit Events to any couple looking for top-notch entertainment for their wedding!”

We ended up going to DJ Addison, who at the time was considered a "first-year DJ." He exceeded all expectations. Addison was simply a treat to work with in the planning stages and was exceptionally on point and professional during the wedding day. He's funny but classy, professional but not uptight, willing to make on-the-fly changes, and kept the dance floor hopping during the reception. From his bridal party introductions to saying goodbye at the end of the night, he was simply great. Our wedding was moved inside at the last minute due to rain and he somehow relocated his setup on the fly and didn't complain or seem stressed during the chaos. DJ Torpedo offers a really wonderful music planning app that is easy to understand and pick your songs from ceremony to reception. The app has YouTube integration that allows you to easily assemble your playlists. “I have nothing but amazing things to say about Cherrywood Ensembles. They are just such a talented, kind, and well-mannered group of individuals. I booked Cherrywood Ensembles for my wedding and cocktail hour. I purchased the quartet and added a piano for the ceremony. For the cocktail hour, we had the quartet play! I also booked their DJ from 5-9 pm for the reception! I loved everything about their services! I read the reviews online and noticed that some people were uncomfortable that the quartet didn’t come to the rehearsal, but after talking to Brian, the owner, I had no doubts that they were going to perform perfectly at the ceremony! All I did on my end was give him specific details about the ceremony (song I wanted to walk to down, the start and finish time) and they NAILED it on the day of the wedding! I purchased the 2.5 hour package for the quartet and gave them a timeline of when the ceremony was to start, end, and when they should head over to the reception venue to play for cocktail hour. When I arrived at the venue, I was in tears at how well they were playing my favorite songs! On top of their talent, they even stayed until 5 pm (when cocktail hour ended). They are truly such a huge blessing and most definitely worth every penny. I have absolutely no regrets purchasing Cherrywood Ensembles to play our favorite songs on our special day. For the reception, we had Nick as our DJ and he was absolutely the BEST! He was so fun and engaged with our guests so well! The kids LOVED him! Nick was amazing and asked Jack and I what WE wanted! Again, I gave Nick some intricate details and AGAIN, Cherrywood Ensembles NAILED it. I will always think about this day and how much of an impact Cherrywood Ensembles had on our wedding day! Every time I listen to the ceremony music, I get goosebumps and instantly in TEARS! Thank you so much for everything, Cherrywood Ensembles!! And if you are on the fence about purchasing Cherrywood Ensembles for your quartet/DJ, please be assured that they are just absolutely AMAZING. I have no regrets at all. They also have very reasonable pricing for the work that they do.”

“I don’t have enough good things to say about DJ Obehi! As a professional dancer, obviously I’m a firm believer that the DJ can make or break a dance floor, and DJ Obehi absolutely MADE IT! Not only did he pick out music for our dance floor that was so specific and special to us, but he also was an amazing MC throughout the day. He absolutely brought the energy up! The whole process of booking with him was so smooth and easy, and he definitely has an amazing reputation out there - even the ABC license people had heard of him and told me he was the best and they were jealous! “Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. He is definitely worth the money and I would hire him again without a doubt for any event!”
