“The ENTIRE night...we kept hearing "Your DJ is so fun!!!" and we could not agree more! Gemma and Luv'dup DJs was so easy, fun, and stress-free to work with from the very beginning. We were assured that the music we wanted to play would be played, that they had sound/mics/audio/lights all under control, and that Gemma would dance the night away with us. We opted to do the uplighting package, and that was worth every penny too. The whole Luv'dup team was so communicative and professional throughout the entire planning process. We wanted a fun, upbeat feeling for cocktail hour and dinner, and a dance floor that was packed the whole night. Gemma absolutely delivered both, and she read the room SO perfectly to keep playing songs that the crowd would love dancing and singing to. I know I'm biased, but I truly don't think I have never seen a dance floor so crowded and happy at a wedding. We have Gemma and Luv'dup to thank for curating the perfect, joyful party. We could not recommend Luv'dup DJs and Gemma more...especially if you are getting married at Curtis Arboretum!”

“DJ Neal was an amazing choice for our recent wedding at the Rust Manor House in Leesburg, VA. From the beginning of the wedding process, DJ Neal was friendly, communicative, and thoughtful. He took into consideration some of our favorite artists and curated a wonderful playlist for our wedding day (i.e., ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). We had quite a unique request being “early 2000s nostalgia” for the reception and he delivered! During couples portraits before the ceremony, I remember telling people how much I enjoyed the music he was playing. Additionally, during our reception in the outdoor tent, everyone was out of their seat and on the dance floor. As someone who considers themselves a homebody, he really brought me and my (now) husband out of our shells and created such a fun energy. The transitions between songs were so smooth and well executed. Additionally, he was a wonderful and well-spoken MC for our event. We really appreciated him for being part of our big day! “Every time someone asks me what the highlight of our wedding was, I laugh — because as much as I loved each moment that I spent with my new husband, the real answer is THE BAND. From the second those opening chords of “Hot To Go” hit, I genuinely felt like I had died and gone to heaven. The energy was unreal. The dance floor was packed, the vibe was electric, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The lead singers were not only exceptionally talented, but also so kind, warm, and gracious. I have a musical background, and after a martini, I felt brave enough to join this marvelous band on stage, and they made me feel like an absolute rockstar (even though I’m quite sure I didn’t sound like one). Their presence and energy completely transformed the night. Our wedding would not have been the same without them — I truly mean that with my whole heart. And I have to give a special shoutout to the bass player — his energy was infectious! I seriously wanted to run over and give him the biggest hug. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“We had an amazing experience working with Jamie (DJ Casanova) for our wedding in October 2022 (been meaning to write a review for so long)! Jamie was very professional throughout the whole planning process. We actually hired him in 2020 but we had to postpone our wedding twice because of covid (he was very flexible and made the postponement process very smooth). We met virtually/over the phone a few times and he assured us he was available to meet as many times as we'd like. Closer to our wedding date, we had a more formal meeting where we went through the timeline of the whole reception detail by detail. He had a form where we put in all the information, which showed he was experienced at the job. I was very particular about the type of music I wanted to be played at our reception and he was super easy-going about it and assured us that he was there to implement our vision. On our actual wedding day, everything went as planned and honestly even better than I could have ever imagined! I love to dance and so do many of our guests, and thanks to Jamie, the dance floor was never empty even for one second! He knew how to read the room and change the music accordingly. Even after our wedding, everyone couldn’t stop talking about how fun the party was! In sum, I highly recommend Jamie and already have recommended him to some friends looking to get married soon! “Music by Anthem was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. Chelle, the violinist, was so warm and kind in our interactions leading up to the day, and assured us during the prep that she was a prompt person and that she'd arrive quite early to the venue before our event - sounds like a small thing, but her integrity and commitment really gave us such peace of mind when we were focusing on all the other details of our wedding day. Chelle's beautiful violin playing was perfect as a solo performer, and her services were very reasonably priced. Getting to pick her setlist was amazing, and she happily learned several songs she didn't know, including the one we walked down the aisle to. “Highly recommend Speech Less Music! From the first interaction, Scott and Mari were professional, yet personable and willing to adapt to any way we wanted to music to happen for our daughter’s wedding reception in Virginia. We used a pop strings duo for the cocktail hour and they continued during dinner then we pivoted to a New Orleans second line led by a sax player followed by a fun hybrid DJ dance party.
