“I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Windy City Glam. From the planning stages to the wedding day itself, everything felt thoughtful, organized, and deeply personal. Celeste and Alex were not only incredibly talented but also genuinely lovely to be around. And having Catherine who owns Windy City Glam and is also a close friend and one of my bridesmaids, made it feel all the more special.
We got ready at the Hyatt House in West Loop, which isn’t the most spacious or salon-like spot for hair and makeup. But Celeste and Alex showed up early, fully prepared, and made the space work so seamlessly you’d think they set up there all the time. The room felt calm and happy, exactly what you want on a wedding morning.
Celeste did makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom. We had done a trial beforehand, and I gave quite a bit of feedback on what I liked and what didn’t feel quite like me. She took every note seriously, and on the wedding day, it all came together perfectly. The look felt just right, elevated, soft, with sparkly eyeshadow and still very much me. I felt beautiful without feeling overdone. The makeup lasted through every emotion, every hug, every photo, and hours of dancing. She also gave so much care to the rest of the bridal party. Everyone looked incredible and felt comfortable and confident, which set the tone for the whole day.
Alex styled everyone’s hair, and she was just as amazing. At our trial, I had tighter waves than imagined, and I mentioned wanting something a little softer. On the day of, she adjusted the style to make the waves looser and added pearl accents that made it feel more romantic, and I loved it. It held beautifully all day and night through wind and nonstop dancing. My bridesmaids and mom also looked gorgeous, with styles that fit each person’s hair type and vibe. Alex was calm, focused, and incredibly efficient, but she never made anyone feel rushed. She cared about how everyone felt walking out of that chair.
Catherine was a huge help behind the scenes with planning the schedule. She organized the timeline for hair and makeup so well that we stayed on track the entire morning without feeling on a timer. That kind of planning and attention to detail made the day run much more smoothly and let me enjoy the getting-ready part instead of stressing about timing.
What made Windy City Glam stand out is how personal and supportive the whole experience felt. Celeste and Alex are true professionals, but they’re also kind people who bring such good energy into the room. They made me feel like the best version of myself on one of the most meaningful days of my life.
