Mountain Laurel specializes in real food and event production. The food we serve is grown and prepared by hand, and our events are organized and executed with professionalism. Mountain Laurel utilizes as many farms, markets, orchards as possible, as well as the changing seasons to craft each individual menu and align our client’s tastes with their occasion and personalities. We’re passionate about using responsible and sustainable products and practices. With 30 years of combined talent, Mountain Laurel Catering & Events is ready to make your next event unforgettable!
We are the only Green Certified Caterer in Harrisburg. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our couples because throughout the wedding planning process, you become family. Our custom menu options allow each couple to create a menu that truly represents them on their special day. As an off-site caterer, we are fully equip with industrial kitchen trailers that allow us to cook on-site so your guests food is hot and fresh. We would love to hear from you!

Mountain Laurel Catering & Events provided exceptional service for our wedding day. Their communication was clear, concise, and thoughtful throughout the planning process. The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the food they served was delicious and the entire catering staff was incredibly professional. They made our wedding cake, handled all the catering and alcohol service, and even allowed us to privately sample the menu beforehand to ensure it catered to our preferences. My vegetarian cousin raved that it was the best meal she has ever had at a wedding, and they were also able to accommodate guests with nut and gluten allergies. We could not have been more pleased with the exceptional service and value that Mountain Laurel Catering & Events provided for our special day.

Great food, good bar service
The food was phenomenal and everyone loved it, however, we (bride& groom) were at cocktail hour for 30 minutes and were not approached with any of the cocktail hour foods. Which is upsetting. Also, we had to provide the alcohol for the bar, and at the end of the night we noted multiple bottles of the same liquor and cases of beer open (even though they werent used). Which affects what we could return. We were assured that the bartenders would only open up what they had to use but that wasnt the case.

In terms of the quality of the food, I would give a 5 out of 5 star rating. In terms of customer service and responses I would give a 2 star rating. The food was cleaned up and taken away from cocktail hour and from dinner much too quickly. As someone (and the bride) with dietary restrictions, this was not appreciated as the food I could eat was taken away without checking to see if I was finished. I specifically requested a mashed potato bar during cocktail hour, and this was taken away before I was able to get a bowl. The head server also denied the request for me to get a bowl. When I brought up my concerns with the service the owner never apologized, made excuses, blamed other vendors, and gaslit me. When emailing with the owner, she called me by the incorrect name and was unaware of the details of my event (I live out of state and this was repeatedly addressed throughout the process of setting up a tasting and meetings, details she claimed she was unaware of by the end of my wedding). Even though I did not work directly with her in setting up and organizing my wedding, she is the owner and should get informed on the specifics of an event specially when responding to concerns and questions.

Great service, great food!!
Mountain Laurel was great to work with! Always responsive, even during their busy months. Ally and Jes were a pleasure to communicate with. The food was delicious - all of our guests were raving about the meals and hors doeuvres! Everyone was professional and helpful the day of. Highly recommend

Amazing catering service
Mountain Laurel was so great from start to finish! Their pricing was reasonable and they offered many accommodations and options for a great coursed meal. We are restaurant veterans, so we consider ourselves hard to please with food… the menu options were offered on a giant spreadsheet, but can be built out however you’d like! We created our own pasta course, and we tweaked ingredients in all of our dishes. The guests said it was the best wedding meal they’ve had! The staff was really awesome too with planning such a big meal. Communication was on point. My only disappointment was the dessert options, we had them sourced from the local Italian bakery and ML had arranged partnership with them … and unfortunately it was all cookies. We had hoped for tri colored glazed carrots but it seems that we all got diced roasted carrots instead. Otherwise it was a great experience and I would book them all over again. The venue was pretty remote and they did a seamless job on it. Thank you so much ML!
