We are so happy we found Celestine and could host our wedding there! When we first came across this venue, we instantly knew that it ticked all of our boxes. The views of the Manhattan Bridge and the downtown Manhattan skyline are gorgeous, the Mediterranean-style food is fantastic, and the staff is professional and attentive. We visited several times before the wedding to sample the menu and treat friends and family to a great time, and we were consistently impressed with the quality and the service. Working with the Celestine events team, Nisrine, Kirsten, and Krystle, was a breeze. During the entire period leading up to the wedding, we were in constant contact and had several meetings, which made us able to relax throughout the process, knowing that everything was completely under control. We had our separate day-of coordinator who integrated seamlessly with the Celestine team, and Krystle, our Celestine coordinator, on the wedding day. Once the big day came around, we could not have been more prepared and at ease. Everything worked and turned out as beautiful and perfect as we had hoped! Many of our guests have said (and are still telling us!) that this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, with many of their compliments directed towards the venue, food, and staff. Among all the other wedding venues in DUMBO, Celestine stands out as a true gem. It has everything we could have wished for in a very intimate, beautiful setting that will leave memories for a lifetime and have us coming back for more!

Bridgepoint

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 60 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

The Bridgepoint event space is a 2,500 sq. ft. renovated roofdeck in DUMBO Brooklyn that has breathtaking views of the Manhattan Skyline and both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. This contemporary build is a stark contrast from some of our rustic offerings which features, white marble tile with grey, black and gold tones throughout.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Allows pets
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • Does not provide event staff
  • No built-in audiovisual options
After our Upper East Side ceremony, our wedding guests took the ferry to Dumbo and enjoyed the cocktail hour at Bridgepoint Rooftop. And while they loved the Dumbo Loft for our reception, I think the rooftop view was the hit of the day. This space is all marble inside and truly beautiful. Between that and the city views, we did basically zero decor for this space. There are some nice bistro lights already set up on the rooftop patio. There was plenty of space for our caterers to set up several food tables and our bartenders to set up a bar table. We brought in some hightop tables for both the indoor and outdoor spaces. There was potential for rain so we did have to book a tent at the last minute (unexpected, awful expense), but we ended up not needing it! Just be aware there is no awning or anything in the event of rain and we knew we'd have too many people for just the indoor space. The BK Venues folks were absolutely fantastic and communicative. They gave us a deal for booking both the Rooftop and Dumbo Loft! Bridgepoint Rooftop was amazing, and really added such a fun and special variety to the events of the day. Thanks BK Venues!!!

We cannot recommend Casa Ora enough. From our first time dining at Casa Ora, we were greeted with such wonderful hospitality and food. We felt as if we were family! We were originally going to host our wedding shower with 60 people in Casa Ora, but ended up going with their new sister restaurant 2 doors down, at Lulla's Bakery. The space was SO beautiful. The curated and thoughtful design and decor was absolutely perfect and Shell, Mardi, and the rest of the team were super communicative and understanding. Our guests had the best time and raved about how incredible the space felt. Bonus points for the location- Ft Greene is such a special neighborhood and really needed an event space and Shell's Loft more than answered the call.

Center for Brooklyn History

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 100 guests
  • Select services

Founded in 1863, Center for Brooklyn History, formerly Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS) is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the borough’s 400 year history. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, the building is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand carved woodwork. The building has been renovated with state of the art modern facilities. Whatever your needs, Center for Brooklyn History can tailor a space rental package. Stately columns and soaring ceilings are the focus of the striking first-floor space, while the elegant Othmer Library, a New York City interior landmark, will make your celebration one for the books!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Classic elegance
  • Historic touches

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Does not allow pets
Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!

We cannot imagine having hosted our reception anywhere else. The space is beautiful, the food was outstanding, the beverage selection was top notch and the service was warm and welcoming. The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. A big thank you to Elena and the rest of the Purslane team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

Gabe and the entire crew at HH knocked it out of the park. The entire day went flawlessly, they worked seamlessly with our vendors, set up the rooms better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention the space itself/location is GORGEOUS….but funny enough, we booked the space for the insane views of NYC, but happened to get the foggiest day of December - it. Did. Not. Matter. !!! Hudson House KILLED IT and made our day beautiful, stunning, and perfect start to finish. Our guests are raving about the time they had.

We hosted a Friday night welcome event for our wedding at Sound Fury Brewery and it was the perfect choice. We worked with Natalie, who was absolutely incredible - she and her team handled everything. They helped us build the menu, handled all staffing, and helped with audio set up. As our vision changed and the event grew bigger, they worked with us to adjust and made sure we had everything we needed. We can't recommend them enough for hosting events. The food was good (especially the pizzas), their beers are fun, and the ambiance is great. They even customized the little sign outside the brewery for us - it was so sweet! Natalie was a super-star.

Housed in the original Gatehouses to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, our bar & tasting room is a beautiful and intimate venue for a couple looking for a space whose bold and independent spirit matches their own. Kings County Distillery is New York City’s premier craft distillery and among the most acclaimed small distilleries in the United States. We only distill whiskey for our label and we never sell whiskey made from any other source.

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Creates a sense of togetherness
  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible

We planned our wedding with Aline and Melissa and everything was perfect. They even worked with us to make sure our timing and lighting would be great in the barrel room for our ceremony. Both Aline and Melissa helped us figure out vendors (including porta potty!) that would work for the space. The space itself is perfect- gorgeous historical castle! Bourbon barrel room? So dreamy and exactly what we wanted to celebrate our marriage, and our time in brooklyn. We had friends go over earlier to help the KCD team set up. Everyone was so helpful and understood what we wanted for our wedding day. The entire team was responsive, helpful, and cared about our plans. Due to some of the liquor laws the distillery works within, Melissa helped us find the perfect beer and wine. We did a cocktail testing before the event to decide on what we’d serve. Anything we would have picked would have been awesome - but we decided on a strawberry bourbon smash and the old fashion. The bar tenders were amazing. Our day was so perfect, and the staff really made it possible. I want to do the same wedding again and again.
