The Dickens Opera House, a venue located in Longmont, Colorado, harbors a rich history and legacy from its beginnings in 1881. William Henry Dickens, who originally built the opera house, obtained the land through his father who was given the land by Ulysses S. Grant. Not only does this land have ties to President Grant, but also to the author Charles Dickens, who was related to William Henry Dickens. The Estes Valley Community Center is a new, modern facility centrally located near Lake Estes, with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Our reception room features adjustable lighting, an integrated audio/visual system, lots of windows, and a large patio. Guests are often surprised how nice it is for a Community Center. We have a full commercial kitchen with many amenities that are often used for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and after-wedding brunch. In the summer and fall, our patio can be used for additional space to fulfill your wedding vision. If you are looking for an outdoor venue for a summer wedding or reception, the Lake Estes Marina Pavilion is a fun option. With a beautiful view of the lake and Long's Peak, you can have your ceremony at the Pavilion, rent a boat to go out on the lake for photos, and come back to the Pavilion to celebrate!
