If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

Awarded Best of Zola
“Sarah is firstly a gifted artist and photographer. As you can see she understands space and color in a way that my wife and I clearly do not but more importantly she understands what makes a moment feel special. We asked Sarah to deliver a documentary style wedding experience and she did not fail. When my wife and I chose Sarah, she immediately got to work helping us to plan our wedding day in a way that you might not necessarily expect from a wedding photographer. Sarah was so personal and friendly on the day of our wedding, it felt more like we had a friend taking our pictures as a favor. However, the finished products speak for themselves: our friends and family celebrating, iconic moments of the day, and our love clearly shown throughout. Sarah delivered organization, artistry, and value in a comprehensive package that can’t be beat.”

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Rich was an incredible photographer! From the very beginning, he was organized, responsive, and on top of every detail leading up to our wedding day. He created a comprehensive timeline of the day and provided thoughtful professional guidance whenever we needed it, which made the entire day feel so much less stressful. On the wedding day, he captured every moment beautifully—even with some very windy conditions! We are so happy with our photos and are so grateful to have these memories to look back on for years to come. Rich was in the middle of the dance floor to capture all the fun and energy of the reception. He truly didn't miss a moment! We also loved receiving our sneak peek so quickly—it kept all the excitement going the very next day. We highly recommend everyone hire Rich!”

“We had such an easy time working with Enchanted Celebrations staff that I would jump at choosing them again! Blair and Summer were professional, thorough, empathetic and communicated very clearly all the different features of the videography plans so that we felt like we chose the right plan for our wedding day. As time came closer, Summer was diligent at working with us on the details for the day-of, and then a few days before the wedding we confirmed everything with Edwin, our assigned videographer. Edwin’s style was spot-on with what we imagined and the videos came out beautiful and so much quicker than we expected them. We’re delighted with our experience!”

Whether you’re planning a cozy backyard wedding or an adventurous elopement in the mountains, we’ll capture it with care and creativity.

“I first met Megan and Kenneth through working an event that they photographed where I work. I knew instantly that I wanted to work with them for my wedding as it just felt so warm and relaxing to be in their presence. My husband and I wanted to feel like ourselves and have fun with the photos and that is exactly what they delivered. I was never stressed about the photos or the video because I knew Megan and Kenneth had it completely covered. They were extremely responsive over email and zoom calls in the months before the wedding and would answer all questions promptly. They even provided extremely helpful suggestions and built the photography timeline for the wedding so it never felt like we were running behind or losing time. Overall I cannot recommend Megan and Kenneth enough! It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we definitely will work with them again for whatever photo needs we have down the line.”

I’m Matthew, a documentary wedding photographer based in Garrison, NY. I’ve photographed weddings for a decade, alongside a 15-year teaching career. The classroom shapes how I work: I meet every situation with empathy, plan carefully with you beforehand, and stay calm when the day gets busy. About 90% of my coverage is candid. I blend in and witness what unfolds, then step in with light direction for family photos and portraits. Couples tell me they forgot I was there, and my favorite compliment is that guests thought I was a family member with a camera. I work with all couples and celebrate every kind of love.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I cannot emphasize enough how much we loved working with Matthew. I'm going to break this review down into a few areas that I think were particularly meaningful to my experience working with Matthew: Photo Style I think Matthew's portfolio speaks for itself, but I just appreciate so much how his style blends dreamy romantic shots with a photojournalistic approach. My wedding photos really feel like they captured not only the memories of the day, but the feelings we had. Pre and Post Wedding Communication From our initial booking, Matthew was extremely easy to talk to, and made it easy to understand and talk through the details of our contract and what we could expect. I think for people who are planning a wedding for the first time don't realize how much having a vendor who is patient, detail-oriented, and willing to hold your hand and guide you through the process of booking, understanding your goals, and planning for your special day matters, and Matthew could teach a masterclass in this. The pre-work Matthew did of planning, researching the venue, coordinating, and communicating effectively and efficiently was next-level professionalism, and really sets the bar for what it means to book a wedding photographer. I also think it's important to note that all of the post wedding communication has been top-notch – I think it would be understandable to call the job done after the check is paid, but quality of our communication has been consistently amazing. Day-Of Logistics / Shot Direction Matthew and his second photographer followed the plan we had set pre-wedding to a T. They were actively leading the coordinating and making sure we had all of the necessary people ready to keep to our timeline. When it was time to do different set shots (family, bridal party, ceremony, sunset), Matthew had locations in mind and was able to give guidance that made us feel comfortable and natural while getting so so many amazing shots (in very constrained timeframes). Personality I think Matthew has a very high emotional intelligence, and he was so good at genuinely making everyone feel comfortable in subtle ways. My family and my husband are all very camera shy, and notoriously hate getting their photos taken. There were so many little interactions and things that Matthew did and said that made each person feel comfortable in their own way. A few examples that come to mind: - At one point, my mom was leaning against a staircase, and Matthew took a portrait of her and told her she was a natural at posing – up until that point, she had been feeling and looking nervous, and after that she really opened up and looked so happy and comfortable. - My dad is extremely camera shy, hates being on camera and typically looks terrified and self conscious in photos. Matthew said a few things while he was taking our photos that I think really made my dad focus on how excited he was for me and my wedding, and you can just see how happy and loving he is in the photos.”

“We are so lucky to have had Anecdote Photography as our wedding photographers. From the moment we first spoke with them, their communication style was immediate, detail-oriented, friendly, and respectful. The quality of their work was flawless - the photos are beautiful and creative, and they had such an easygoing presence that put us at ease on our wedding day. Eddie, our lead photographer, was one of the best parts of our special day. He was extremely organized and helped lay out the timeline perfectly, and he was so thoughtful - he even had extra bobby pins on hand when my hair needed a touch-up, and he helped the groomsmen with their boutonnieres at the church. We cannot recommend Anecdote Photography highly enough - their attention to detail is impeccable, and they are truly wonderful to work with. Please consider them for your next event!”

“From start to finish, Aleksandra was absolutely incredible. Not only was she professional, organized, and communicative every step of the way, but she also made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. She captured every special moment of our day. What stood out most was how genuinely invested she was in us as a couple and in making sure our families felt included and cared for. Hi, I'm Stef. I photograph intimate weddings, NYC City Hall ceremonies, and micro celebrations where presence matters more than production. My approach is documentary at its core. I'm not directing every moment, I'm moving through your day quietly, watching for the ones that actually matter. I shoot both digital and 35mm film, not as an aesthetic choice but because film asks everyone to slow down a little. That slowness is kind of the whole point. Based in New York City and the Hudson Valley, available for travel.

“From start to finish, Stef was such an absolute pleasure to work with! I can’t recommend her enough. Her communication with us was easy and kind from the get go, and she was very knowledgeable about her craft. Our photos are absolutely stunning! We have gotten so many compliments from family and friends. I even had one good friend say that if she ever gets married, she will ask me for Stef’s contact info :) Thank you Stef, for beautifully capturing the best day of our lives.”

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

“We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!”

“Kathryn has been a friend of mine for 20 years, so I've been following her growing business and incredible adventures around the globe for a long time. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who I wanted to do our engagement and wedding photos! Not only is she fantastic to work with, she loves opportunities for creativity and "outside the box" moments. I loved the idea of playing with light at night, so she found a color-changing light device to create incredible backgrounds for our night photos! I also loved that we hardly knew she and her second were there during the ceremony. She's sneaky and still gets the most beautiful photos! I cannot recommend my beautiful friend enough, especially if you're looking for someone LGBTQ friendly! Unfortunately, Google is not letting me upload photos, but please check out her website to see samples of her amazing work!”

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras, flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Nina was an absolute dream. At our engagement shoot, I told her right away that I’m incredibly awkward in front of the camera and needed direction — and like the pro she is, she immediately made us feel comfortable, confident, and totally ourselves. On the wedding day, when things ran a little behind during the getting-ready chaos, Nina handled everything with such calm professionalism. She seamlessly adjusted the timeline, eased the nerves in the room, and somehow kept the entire day flowing effortlessly. Every photo tells a story — not just of how things looked, but how they felt. She captured the laughter, the happy tears, and all the tiny in-between moments we didn’t even realize were happening. Her eye for detail and ability to find magic in the ordinary is unmatched. She went above and beyond — fixing little details, offering gentle direction, and somehow being everywhere at once without ever feeling intrusive. When we saw our gallery, we were completely floored. The images are timeless, emotional, and truly us. If you’re lucky enough to have Nina capture your day, you’re not just getting stunning photos — you’re getting her art, her heart, and memories that will last a lifetime.”

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

“Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.”

I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. I understand that you’ve never done this before and you may not even know where to start! Don’t worry- I got you!

“Finding a good photographer was high on our priority list for vendors. We got married outside in the Catskill Mountains and as such we wanted a photographer capable of capturing the depth of the forest. After looking through Sam's portfolio we knew she was good, but after working with her and seeing her work firsthand we can say she's the best. Getting your photo taken can be awkward, especially given the high stakes of a wedding. But Sam is able to make you feel immediately comfortable while simultaneously taking the most stunning photos you'll ever see. We also had a connection session with her, which we would highly recommend so that you can know how she works - very fun and relaxed, but professional. Sam helped us outline the entire day of the wedding, and based on her knowledge the day went off without a hitch. We're so grateful she agreed to work with us!”

My clients describe me as caring, passionate about my work, and trustworthy. I am honored to feel like an extended member of the family when I'm photographing weddings! When I’m not working with amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

“We love Debbie! Debbie has been such a pleasure to work with through our wedding process. Since our first meeting with her, Debbie made us feel super comfortable and at home, feeling more like a family friend more than just our photographer. She has a great knack for getting the best shots and captures authentic feeling in her photos. She was so good at helping us relax in our photos (which was great for me as a notorious camera-shy guy). Debbie will be our first call for any professional photography in the future and we 110% recommend her!”

This is such a special time and I’m so excited for you! 🤗💍 If you’re still looking for a wedding photographer, I’d love to connect! I’m Erin Braden, and I specialize in capturing real, emotional, joy-filled wedding days across the Hudson Valley and beyond. I work closely with every couple to learn your story, your style, and your vision—then turn that into a wedding gallery that feels personal, powerful, and authentically you. Whether your vibe is romantic, wild, classy, or totally laid-back, I’ll make sure your photos reflect it all.

“Erin's photos are like no other. She did an amazing job with our engagement photos and a fabulous job with our wedding photos! Her photos speak for themselves but she also went above and beyond for us. After the ceremony, we greeted each guest as they entered the venue. While I was hugging everyone, she took off my removable sleeves and bustled my dress, while also managing to get beautiful pictures of us hugging friends and family. She heard me say before the ceremony that I would be taking the sleeves off and bustling the dress right away and she took action. Throughout the entire wedding day she was moving, climbing on top of things and laying out the ground to get the perfect shots. And she sure did!! She also posted our sneak peak photos the very next morning. We received 7 beautifully edited pictures before we even left the hotel the next day. Later that day she sent us a link to about 5,000 pictures she took at our wedding. They are not yet edited, so we can't post all of them yet. From talking to friends and reading things in Facebook groups, I know it is not normal to be able to see all of the photos so fast. It was such a gift to look through the photos so soon, instead of waiting for months. She works hard, she works quickly, and she produces photos beyond what we imagined we would get from our wedding day.”

She also has a personality/demeanor that is so easy to get along with, and I really vibed with her. We got our wedding photos back in 5 weeks, and they are all absolutely GORGEOUS. She listened to what we wanted and what we were nervous for (and repeated it back to us to make sure she understood). I am so happy we booked Dayna and I wholeheartedly recommend her to other couples planning their wedding!”

I'm a visual storyteller with a passion for capturing love in its purest form. With 10 years in the photography world and 9 years of experience in weddings, I've had the privilege of documenting countless love stories. My style is all about authenticity and emotion. I strive to freeze those genuine, fleeting moments — the laughter, the tears, the stolen glances — in a visual symphony that tells the unique tale of your love. I've always been a cheesy "lover of love." I feel lucky to document such vulnerable emotions, life-changing experiences, and really awesome parties!

“Alex is AMAZING. Her photos left us in awe — I was so impressed by how she listened to my vision and adapted her style accordingly. Most of all, though, Alex excels in all things related to running a business — she’s prompt in email responses, professional with her contracts and payment process, and goes above and beyond to connect you with resources for a successful day (a last minute coordinator, in my case). This is what really sets her apart from other vendors in my opinion. Run, don’t walk, to hire Alex for your wedding!”

“From the moment we booked Clean Plate Pictures, we were impressed with their communication and responsiveness. Erica was always open to our suggestions and worked closely with us to ensure they captured our day perfectly. Her impeccable attention to detail and great eye for the perfect shot were evident in every photo. She was able to herd our many relatives to make the family shoot less stressful, and even made the slightly janky Hyatt Place look elegant in the getting-ready photos. Erica was so friendly and had a strong expertise on the best shots for our venue. We were thrilled that Erica was willing to travel to New York City to shoot our engagement photos as well. We absolutely loved working with Erica (and Elle the second shoot, a dream!) and would highly recommend Clean Plate Pictures to any couple looking for professional, talented, and personable wedding photographers.”
