I'll never forget the first time I went to the Rocky Mountains with my family, I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful everything was. I clearly remember thinking I HAD to get as many pictures as I could so I would never forget a single second of that vacation. And from that moment on, a love of capturing memories emerged. In college, I landed a job as a photographer for the newspaper and was a TA for film photography. I chose a major in psychology, but admittedly, I spent most of my time shooting events on campus or in the dark room obsessing about the perfect exposure.

During my time at The University of Iowa, I immersed myself in the world of art, majoring in Studio Art. My coursework encompassed a wide range of disciplines, including art history, photography, design, painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and metalworking. While I loved exploring these various mediums, I found myself torn between them, unable to decide on a single career path. One night, a brilliant idea struck me: I didn't have to choose. This realization sparked the creation of Kayza & Vine Creative Co., a photography studio that allows me to combine my passion for art with my love of capturing moments and stories through the lens.
