“If I could give John and Trading Post Productions 10 stars, I would. I don't normally go on and on about how great people are, but this group absolutely deserves it. For our wedding, we booked DJ for the ceremony, live music for cocktail hour, and DJ for the reception. First, the live music trio (which we had a guitar, violin, and cello) absolutely nailed it! We chose several songs from their repertoire, but also requested a couple others that were personal to the bride and I, and they not only were accommodating, but they knocked it out of the park during their performance! Second, I could share all the little details about how John was prepared for every moment, but here's the big idea: he is experienced, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, he is easy to work with, he knows how to read a room, and he is SO talented. So many guests (and even venue staff!) commented on how amazing our DJ was! And there were several times throughout the evening where every single guest was out on the dance floor! Even more than a DJ, John is kind and outgoing, and was so excited to help us celebrate our big day. One little detail I would like to share was during the bride and I's last dance before we departed. John put on the song we requested and then left the room, giving us total privacy in that moment. Though this seems like a little thing, it allowed the bride and I to focus entirely on each other without feeling like anybody was watching us. It is a moment that will no doubt stick with me for the rest of my life. I genuinely don't think a more well-rounded DJ exists. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. “I truly don't think I can say enough about DJ Carbon! He was the most amazing DJ for our wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and all of our friends and family have been saying so since we got married. Well, DJ Carbon not only understood it, but he took great care to personalize the music for our wedding. One major thing that I think sets DJ Carbon apart from other vendors is his flexibility and adaptability. From our first conversation, he was so accommodating and easygoing, which made us feel at ease right away. When our actual wedding day came, he did a great job of going with the flow and adapting to any timeline hiccups/changes. And when it came to the music, he delivered! Between my husband and I and DJ Carbon, we all shared a love of Mac Miller, jazz, and oldies, which he incorporated beautifully into our wedding day. Not only that, but when the dancing portion of the evening began, he picked up on the vibes right away and played the tunes accordingly - so much so that even our catering staff was dancing! At the end of it all, I felt like DJ Carbon is so much more than a vendor. He's family. He took so much time, care, and effort to make our wedding day special and we will never forget it! She handled all of the setup, kept everything on schedule, checked in with me throughout the day, and somehow still found time to answer the billion questions from my mom and grandma! One of my favorite moments was when she had appetizers waiting for us while we signed our marriage license. I also have dietary restrictions, and she even made sure I had my own special dinner. Those little touches meant so much and showed how much she genuinely cares about her couples. He first created us a sample music playlist for us to see what his DJ style was like and we loved it! He was super easy to communicate with before the wedding and provided us with all the information we needed. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted for the dancing ar the reception and he did a great job incorporating them throughout the night and asking us directly what we wanted. He took requests and our guests loved him. The light bar, smoke machine, and equipment were top of the line! It really elevated the experience and everyone was out on the dance floor! The equipment created a great sound and great dancing environment!”
