The photo booth was a huge hit and when we received the pictures afterward, along with the beautiful book he created with all the prints, it meant so much to us. It was such a fun and thoughtful detail. I was also nervous about having both Portuguese/brazilian songs and English songs throughout the night, but he made it happen perfectly. The music flowed nonstop and he mixed everything so naturally that our families and friends had an incredible time. My husband even sent him a very special song made for me at the last minute during the wedding, and he added it right away without hesitation. It made the moment unforgettable. “Kevin was recommended to us through our wedding planner. Once we booked him, we were provided with a document where we could suggest songs for each portion of the evening. We were nervous about the dancing portion of the wedding since we only had 40 guests in attendance, but Kevin brought such great vibes that everyone was dancing all night! “My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “If I could give John and Trading Post Productions 10 stars, I would. I don't normally go on and on about how great people are, but this group absolutely deserves it. For our wedding, we booked DJ for the ceremony, live music for cocktail hour, and DJ for the reception. First, the live music trio (which we had a guitar, violin, and cello) absolutely nailed it! We chose several songs from their repertoire, but also requested a couple others that were personal to the bride and I, and they not only were accommodating, but they knocked it out of the park during their performance! Second, I could share all the little details about how John was prepared for every moment, but here's the big idea: he is experienced, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, he is easy to work with, he knows how to read a room, and he is SO talented. So many guests (and even venue staff!) commented on how amazing our DJ was! And there were several times throughout the evening where every single guest was out on the dance floor! Even more than a DJ, John is kind and outgoing, and was so excited to help us celebrate our big day. One little detail I would like to share was during the bride and I's last dance before we departed. John put on the song we requested and then left the room, giving us total privacy in that moment. Though this seems like a little thing, it allowed the bride and I to focus entirely on each other without feeling like anybody was watching us. It is a moment that will no doubt stick with me for the rest of my life. I genuinely don't think a more well-rounded DJ exists. If you're on the fence about whether or not this group is worth it, allow me to be your sign that having John and Trading Post Productions at your wedding is the best choice you could make. He was the most amazing DJ for our wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and all of our friends and family have been saying so since we got married. Music is a huge part of the life my husband and I share, as I'm sure is the same for many engaged and married couples, so we really wanted to have a DJ that understood that. Well, DJ Carbon not only understood it, but he took great care to personalize the music for our wedding. One major thing that I think sets DJ Carbon apart from other vendors is his flexibility and adaptability. From our first conversation, he was so accommodating and easygoing, which made us feel at ease right away. When our actual wedding day came, he did a great job of going with the flow and adapting to any timeline hiccups/changes. And when it came to the music, he delivered! Not only that, but when the dancing portion of the evening began, he picked up on the vibes right away and played the tunes accordingly - so much so that even our catering staff was dancing! After just one conversation with him, we knew he was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He is upbeat, personable, and truly knows how to read a crowd. One of my biggest worries was that the dance floor would die down and people would start leaving early, but Gordon made sure that never happened. He paid close attention to the energy throughout the night, adjusting the music to keep everyone engaged. He started with songs the older crowd loved and then transitioned into more upbeat party music later in the evening, complete with fun lighting that completely transformed the atmosphere. We had a packed dance floor until the very end, exactly how I had always imagined it. Tarrah is an amazing coordinator. Even though we hired her as our "day-of" coordinator, she went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process. We booked her many months in advance, and she was always available to answer questions and offer guidance. Every single one of our vendors commented on how impressed they were with her organization, communication, and attention to detail. They all mentioned how well she kept everyone informed and provided detailed timelines and information, and we saw that firsthand with the incredibly organized planning documents she created for us. On the wedding day, Tarrah made everything feel effortless. She handled all of the setup, kept everything on schedule, checked in with me throughout the day, and somehow still found time to answer the billion questions from my mom and grandma! One of my favorite moments was when she had appetizers waiting for us while we signed our marriage license. I also have dietary restrictions, and she even made sure I had my own special dinner. Those little touches meant so much and showed how much she genuinely cares about her couples. I truly cannot thank Tarrah and Gordon enough for making our wedding day so smooth, stress-free, and special. They helped bring my dream wedding to life, and I wouldn't change a thing. Matt took the time to ask questions about us personally, and it made us feel that he truly wanted to get to know us so he could help deliver what we were visualizing and hoping for on our special day. Matt lead us into our reception, and his presence was so comforting, fun, exciting, lively, I could go on and on! We had already known that he was going to make our night one to remember, but he truly exceeded all of our expectations. He brought an energy to our dinner portion that I have never witnessed before at a wedding. It was absolutely incredible. Watching our guests dancing through dinner and being able to interact with Matt and enjoy his talent was so special. It was hard to imagine the night getting better… and then it did! Our dance floor was full, and Matt kept everyone included and hyped up. Our guests expressed their admiration to us all night long, with many of them wanting to book Matt for their own events! Our wedding was now 5 weeks ago, and our friends and family are STILL talking about him. And so are we! We feel so incredible lucky to have gotten to experience Matt’s talents and energy, but we feel even luckier to have been able to meet him and have us present during our wedding.
