That's when my DJ Mike SAVED the day along with my photographer and they basically took the coordination of placing the guests in and out of the appropriate rooms and they even helped me make a candle light outdoor ceremony look even better. Mike was exceptional, he confirmed that all the songs that were specifically requested for the ceremony and introductions were played and he went over them with me to make sure that he had them correct AND HE DID! “We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

The majority of our guests (we had a lot) either didn’t leave the dance floor or kept coming back! As the bride I only left to cool off then right back out to the best dancing songs he was playing. He narrated our guys vs girls flip cup game and even judged (girls won by default). All around an amazing job and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a fun DJ who isn’t afraid to lend a hand and help get the job done, even if it’s a bit out of his job description. Thank you!”

“Booking Carinvalè for our wedding was the absolute BEST decision we could have ever made!! Our venue had recommended BVTLive if we were interested in booking a band, so we watched one of their live showcases streamed live on YouTube. My husband and I enjoyed all of the bands that played, but one really stuck out to us, Carnivalè! We booked Carnivalè without even seeing them in person, that’s how good they are! When we did attend a showcase in person a few weeks later, they exceeded our expectations and we started counting down the days until they would play at our wedding! Working with Nils to lay out all of our options was amazing! He is the sweet person you’ll ever meet and so on top of things! Leading up to the wedding we worked closely with our band leader, El, to choose songs and create a timeline for our wedding. El and Carnivalè have played at tons of events and weddings and were super organized and easy going! Fast forward to our wedding night, El and the band were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!
