“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. We thought we were doomed, though, because we're terrible at selecting exact songs and had no sense of how the music fit into the overall schedule of the night. We hadn't thought past our ceremony! Julian kept things positive, steered us when we had no idea what to do, but gave us space to put our stamp on our evening when he could sense we had ideas burbling. He was helpful, positive and always prompt without ever being pushy, and so many of our favorite moments came out of the things he got us to think about. Rashaun was awesome too. The dancing on a cloud made for some fantastic videos and pictures, the uplighting really added some nice ambiance for dinner and set the tone for the reception, and the glow sticks just really brought the party to life! The video turned out amazing! Last weekend, we watched the full ceremony edit, theatrical trailer, and gameday entrance. The attention to detail during the filming and with the audio, video, and transition in the final project was astounding. Your seamless integration with our photographer, the other vendors, and the guests made everything feel natural. The videos are some of our most cherished keepsakes. But don't get me wrong, no matter how many weddings are in my future, never ever will it be a matter of being there, done that. No matter how many weddings I do, all my energy goes into each. For those precious few hours I am more than just a wedding dj in the Tri state area, I'm proud to say I am part of countless couple's lives.

“The communication with Prime 1 Productions could have been better leading up to the wedding. While they did a decent job overall with the music and entertainment, they could have done a better job reading the vibe of the room and playing more of a variety of songs that got everyone dancing. The person I booked with was not the one who actually came to our wedding, which was a bit of a surprise. However, the DJ who did come was very nice and tried his best, even though he messed up the intro to our first dance a bit. Overall, Prime 1 Productions provided a serviceable performance, but I wish they had been a bit more in tune with the energy and preferences of our guests.”

“We absolutely loved working with DJ Maggie Mayy for our wedding! One of the most important things to us was having vendors that we felt we could connect with and who understood the vibe we wanted for the day. As soon as we reached out to Maggie we knew that she would be an amazing fit. She was thorough in her emails, and incredibly responsive- I never had to follow up with her or wait on her to answer questions. She was also so kind in her emails, and we could tell how much she loves her job. On the wedding day, we had a few curveballs thrown at us due to weather, and Maggie was super flexible as our coordinator worked out the details. A really sweet touch that I loved was that she came over to check on me and my husband during cocktail hour and dinner to make sure we were doing well and to see if we needed anything. She also fully understood the vibe we were going for based on our must play/do not play lists, and chose the perfect songs all night (even an unprompted "Season of Love" during dinner that had me and my friends out of our seats singing on the dance floor lol). She brought so much energy to the room, and was a perfect emcee- not too overbearing, but fun and lively all night long. We had such a blast, and we truly cannot recommend hiring Maggie enough. She will do everything she can to make sure you have a perfect night!”
