Hosting your wedding, vow renewal, or special event at Walden will be one of the best decisions that you make. This team is incredibly kind, proactive, and thoughtful and your day will go off seamlessly. This is a well-oiled machine that, for a very busy bride and groom, was a godsend! I first encountered this group as a bridesmaid for a dear friend's wedding just after the pandemic. They were great then, and have only excelled in all aspects of their operation since. I didn't hesitate to reach out to them when it was our turn to start planning. We chose this venue for so many reasons - it's absolutely stunning, in a great location, and F.U.L.L service. The two most important things for us was (1) to have an in-house and high-caliber culinary and beverage program and (2) on-site support before, during, and after our wedding. Walden did NOT disappoint! Maria was wonderful answering all of our questions and working with us on the contract, even hosting virtual meetings with us when work travel prevented us from being able to meet together in-person. The planning team is out of this world - Erika, Krystle, Alyssa and Katie - made the planning process as stress-free as possible and were great to jump in with vendor suggestions, task-reminders, and overall coordination throughout the entire process. The F&B Team - Nick, Matt, Chef Nick and crew - were truly a joy to work with by creating custom dishes and cocktails for us, answering our many questions, and putting on a show that our guests are still talking about (don't skip the Tasting Party - it's such a treat!). The Day-Of planning team - Erin, Krystle, Jenny, and Sydni - kept us on schedule, coordinated with vendors and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. As such, this place is in HIGH demand. We booked in Jan 2023 for a late-Mar 2024 wedding (we wanted a Saturday wedding that wasn't in the dead of winter). If this place is on your list, just say YES! They are truly exceptional at what they do and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision and investment. It was worth every dollar and would do it again in a heartbeat. Bravo, team and thank you so much for making our day one for the books!

My husband and I got married here on December 30th and it was an absolute dream. We had our ceremony and reception on the 6th floor and our cocktail hour in between the two on the 5th floor. The space was beautiful with fantastic views of the park and the lake. Once the sun went down, the space within was a perfect blend of modern and romantic with warm soft lighting and beautiful decor. It was so nice not to have to provide an intense amount of decoration since the space was so lovely itself. Our guests were also very impressed and complimentary! Paulette and her team were both professional and enjoyable to work with. Everyone was so kind, supportive, and put our happiness first. They were accommodating of all the special dietary restrictions and decorative requests we had. The bridal suite was also a fantastic space to escape to for a breather throughout the event. I would absolutely recommend this as a wedding venue, event space or anything else your heart could imagine!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Fairlie on 4/27/24 and it was the perfect venue. We had approximately 140 people and the space felt like the perfect size - the dance floor area was very big and the dining tables were spaced out enough for people to feel comfortable moving around. The staff at Fairlie was incredibly helpful and easy to work with, and they had great recommendations for other vendors with experience in their space. We got a lot of compliments from our wedding guests about how cool the space was! Some major selling points of Fairlie for us (that other Chicago venues lacked): big free parking lot, lots of bathrooms, BYOB policy and a huge bar! Overall an amazing venue with some really great people in charge!!!

We were the videographers for Bridget and Kevin's wedding last September. From the start, we were very impressed! We met with Bridget and Kevin's entire team of vendors in-person, including Jill w/ Loft on Lake, as well as their photography and DJ team - something that isn't always done, believe it or not! We were given a clear rundown of the day and shown around their amazing venue weeks in advance so we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. Jill also went out of her way to ensure we (the vendors) were fed, which is something that SO MANY event managers/coordinators fail to do! We highly recommend hosting your wedding at Loft on Lake and we look forward to working there again soon!!

The Arbory

5.0

Chicago, IL
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $8,500

Located in a 100 year old manufacturing plant in West Town, our space is the perfect blend of vintage industrial and modern sophistication — outfitted with fully integrated digital capabilities. Taking inspiration from turn of the century New Orleans, our sophisticated warehouse event space is infused with custom millwork and murals by local artisans bringing a highly curated and refined space to Chicago. With six oversized industrial skylights, you can imagine your ceremony taking place under beautiful natural light. Two separate spaces that combine into one via custom doorways allows you to avoid a room turn! Our included amenities allow you to focus more on the details that make your wedding unique and less on bringing in every piece from scratch. Included are custom wood chairs & tables, two bars, lounge furniture, digital integration, and bistro lights. A private suite with en-suite for the couple is included.

We had the best experience at the Arbory for our January wedding. It was the 3rd space we looked at while planning, and it was clear immediately that it was perfect for us. Our venue rep, Shay, was wonderful and so easy to work with. The venue has relationships with so many other local wedding vendors, and they made it very easy to coordinate all the moving parts. The space was perfect for our 100 guests to move about with plenty of space. The 2 separate rooms make it so easy logistically to do a ceremony into cocktail hour with a room flip, and moving people from one room to the next was no issue at all. So many of our guests loved the space, and said it was so "us". We had the best day ever.

We had our wedding at Salvage One in July 2023 and were so pleased with the venue. We did both our ceremony and reception in the space and our guests could not stop talking about how cool the venue was. Zhou B Art Center

5.0

Chicago, IL
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

The Zhou B Art Center is one of the top event venues in the City of Chicago. Guests will be surrounded by the priceless art of the world-renowned Zhou Brothers, as well as art from emerging and established artists. With 28,000 square feet of event space between two floors, The Zhou B Art Center can accommodate any type of event. From intimate cocktail parties to lavish galas and elegant weddings.

We were looking for an urban space that embodied a feeling of east meets west and the Zhou B Art Center was the perfect space for us. The abstract artwork was a lovely backdrop to our ceremony and reception and our pictures are beautiful. We used Spirit and Moongate in the ground floor and were very happy that the space allowed guests to have some quiet space away from the dance floor when they wanted. The team was easy to work with, and we had a great experience overall.

Lisa and her team are, hands down, the best group of people I have ever met and would hire them 100% again and again. Lisa ensured she understood what our vision was by asking thorough and detailed questions. She went above and beyond contacting our venue and all necessary vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. If there was ever an issue, she solved it without worrying us. And the day of our wedding, several of our guests informed us how amazing her and her teams’ service, professionalism, and how invested she is… not to mention how delicious all the food was, requiring seconds and thirds!!! There aren’t enough words to explain how phenomenal Lisa and her team are and how if it weren’t for Lisa, we wouldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams come true.
