“Beth and Chris are truly the heart and soul of what made our wedding so special. From the moment we booked our venue last December to our wedding day in June, they made everything feel effortless, personal, and full of warmth. Both are incredibly kind, organized, and attentive—always going above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. Their team did a flawless job bringing our vision to life; every photo, décor piece, and little touch was placed perfectly. We especially loved how thoughtful they were in allowing our sweet pup, Hershey, to be part of our pictures outside the venue—it meant so much to us! The entire day flowed beautifully, our guests had the best time, and everything was coordinated to perfection. We are endlessly grateful to Beth and Chris for making our wedding day as magical and memorable as we had always dreamed.”

“I've photographed weddings long enough to know where my talent lies as a photographer, and that is capturing weddings with less pomp and circumstance, more soul and intimacy. This is the space that Spike Gillespie has created at Tiny T Ranch. She is a rescuer: of animals, of a tiny chapel poised as the most perfect backdrop, of experiences that are warm and generous. If you want a wedding that is not just an event but a cherished memory, I can't recommend Spike and the Tiny T enough.”

“The Grand Lady is an absolute DREAM venue! We got married on September 6, 2026, and truly could not have envisioned a more perfect day. It was the first venue we toured, and we immediately fell in love with the historic charm of the mansion, its carefully curated spaces, the breathtaking garden, and the modern reception hall. The mansion was perfect for getting ready the morning of our wedding. It has a stunning bridal suite, a kitchen made for breakfast and mimosas, and a spacious hangout area for the guys, with plenty of room for our large wedding party and family. Having so many spaces on one property made the whole day feel seamless, with different options and backdrops for getting ready, photos, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. We adored our photos in the garden and had a blast dancing the night away. So many of our guests have raved about how gorgeous everything was! The venue provided tables and chairs for our 125 guests at both the ceremony and reception, and offers additional high-quality rentals you can add on. Their onsite floral team is also fabulous to work with and beyond talented. They brought our floral vision to life perfectly. For guests, the venue is less than 25 minutes from downtown Austin. We coordinated shuttles for those staying downtown, and there was plenty of parking for anyone who wanted to drive. Most of all, the team was incredible. From our first tour through our wedding day, they were friendly, communicative, and genuinely kind. They shared detailed information and vendor recommendations upfront, which made our planning process so much smoother, and they were always ready to help with any questions. It was the best day of our lives, and we couldn't be happier that we chose The Grand Lady!”

Lost Horizon Cider Mill
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
Dale, TX
  • Up to 130 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Lost Horizon Cider Mill is a working cidery in a grove of century-old elms and mesquites in Dale, TX. We make our own cider, non-alcoholic rum and vanilla bean seltzer, and pour them at your wedding. Ceremonies happen in our 1960s mid-century modern greenhouse, moved here from Hyde Park, or in the Meadow under string lights, where the fireflies are free of charge. After the vows, guests can head to the Lost & Found Lounge, our hand-built art-deco bar, or up to the stargazing deck above it. The grove has Biergarten tables, sun sails and misters for summer, and a firepit for cooler months. A lot of what other venues outsource, we do ourselves: our floral designer spent nearly a decade at Ben White Florist, and our in-house band, Midnight Mixtape, plays everything from 80s new wave to classic R&B to 60s jazz. A little swanky, a little quirky, and very much ours. We'd love to make it yours for a day.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Space for a large guest list
  • Promotes a party atmosphere
  • Pets can join the celebration

Venue considerations

  • No free parking
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Best for events with big guest lists

“Lost Horizon Cider Mill has the romantic, intimate vibe that comes with a backyard wedding but the elevated touches you'd look for in a winery. The venue itself is swanky yet quirky, with an art-deco-y, design-forward style. I love how each space created a special atmosphere—from the greenhouse to the star-gazing deck. We were able to truly customize it to reflect US. The custom labels created for our non-alcoholic drinks are just one example of the thoughtful, high-quality work they did to make our special day truly memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host our wedding, and we highly recommend Lost Horizon Cider Mill to any couple looking for a unique and unforgettable venue.”

“Service is top notched - from the Front Desk team (Rachel) who professionally assisted with the investigation of the reservation hiccup that Citibank /its Citi Book Travel team had to the Valet Parking team (Michaela on 9/14 and team on duty on 9/13) who were all very professional, friendly and helpful in answering loading and parking questions. Would have loved to provided higher ratings with the room, but the hot water consistency was not there during the day, but was better at night and the evacuation of the water at the sinks and the bath tub were generally slower than expected. Try to improve those and keep up with the good work!”

“If I could move into the Fairmont Austin, I would. I absolutely LOVE this hotel! From the very beginning, their team was incredibly easy to work with and made the process of setting up and managing our wedding room block completely seamless. They consistently provided updates, answered any questions we had, and made sure every detail was taken care of both leading up to the wedding and throughout the entire weekend. The hotel itself is stunning. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, and the entire property feels sleek, clean, and elevated. And somehow, the whole hotel always smells amazing! Our wedding guests loved staying at the Fairmont, and we received so many compliments about the accommodations throughout the weekend. It was the perfect home base for everyone during our wedding celebrations. The day after our wedding, we rented several cabanas at the pool for a post-wedding pool day with more than 100 of our guests. The pool staff was AMAZING. They handled such a large group with ease and provided incredible service all day long. It was the perfect way to wrap up the weekend. My maid of honor also gifted my husband and me a spa day, and the Fairmont Spa was absolutely gorgeous. We both agreed it was one of the best massages we’ve ever had and such a relaxing way to unwind after the wedding festivities. From the accommodations and service to the pool and spa, our entire experience was incredible. I would recommend the Fairmont Austin without hesitation for a wedding weekend, special occasion, staycation, or honestly any excuse you can find to stay there!”

“Downright Austin truly exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, the team made the entire planning process feel seamless, organized, and genuinely enjoyable which, as any couple knows, is no small feat. The property itself is such a standout in Austin. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how unique the space felt compared to more traditional venues. What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the team. Every detail was handled with care and intention, and we always felt like a priority. Communication was consistent, thoughtful, and proactive, which gave us so much peace of mind throughout the process. On the wedding day itself, everything flowed effortlessly. The team anticipated needs before we even had to ask, allowing us to fully be present and enjoy the moment. The food and beverage experience was another highlight... elevated, well-executed, and far beyond typical “wedding food.” Our guests are still talking about it. “My husband and I used the hotel for our room block and wedding...it was the best weekend of our lives! Erin and Lexi with the event planning team were simply unreal to work with. They were responsive, efficient, and made sure to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. There was a mechanical issue with the AC in the Milton suite that we were using to get ready in and Erin made sure that there was multiple portable ACs in the room so we weren't warm....we were actually cold, ha! She figured out a solution in 0.2 seconds and made sure we were kept in the loop. The food at the wedding was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Every guest was saying how it was incredible and came out HOT (which is a big deal, ha!). The drinks were flowing and soooo tasty. The staff who worked the wedding were kind, fast, and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I also had drinks. Wedding cake was extremely yummy too!! The hotel's venue space was ICONIC. As a couple who live in Austin, we wanted our guests to get the Austin vibe. From the lobby, courtyard, surrounding restaurants in the hotel, hotel bar, reception space....hotel rooms...everything was perfect. The customer service at this hotel is top tier for guests staying at the hotel AND for wedding couples. I highly recommend any and all couples wanting to get married in Austin to book this space. You WILL be happy. Your guests will also love to stay here with the room block!!”

The industrial-chic ambiance combined with the historic charm of the building provided the most picturesque backdrop for our festivities. Booking with Brandon both the venue and the connecting Airbnb was a stroke of genius, allowing us to seamlessly transition from bridal suite to ceremony to after-party without missing a beat. The convenience of having everything in one location made our day stress-free and unforgettable. While we were impressed with the venue’s professionalism and ease of communication throughout the planning process, there was a slight hiccup regarding the sound system. Despite prior assurances, we found out that the sound wasn’t wired to the first floor as we had hoped. However, this minor setback didn’t overshadow the overall amazing experience we had at The Riley Building. A heartfelt thank you to Brandon, Jordyn, Jacob, and the entire team for their hard work and dedication in making our wedding day truly magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to start our journey as a married couple.”

About wedding venues in Cedar Creek, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
