“We got married just about a year ago in the old hangar at Pearson and it was perfect! We hired a live jazz band and had the hangar doors open, timing our entry with sunset behind the Fort, and it was everything I wanted. The hangar is already white and made a great blank canvas, and it has those incandescent-look patio lights hanging up inside. We had about 70 people that attended, plus the 25-person big band. The only 2 tricks were that you can't "permanently" attach anything to walls or anything, so we made some weighted window-sill decorations for the windows on the south wall, and we did have to bring our own sound system for speechifying. The only complaints I had were that we had to dispose of our own trash (which was just kind of strange for a venue IMHO since it's such a big park) and that the outside walls were just... filthy with cobwebs, dry grass, etc. so it didn't make a great backdrop for photos. I wanted to enter through the back door, so there's not a lot of photos of outside (we also had photographer issues, but that's a different thing entirely!).”

“The Baker Building is a truly unique wedding venue with so much vintage charm and character. The building itself has numerous cute corners for great portraits, it is located in a fun neighborhood, and has a great facade. There is also lovely landscaping around the immediate building that provides a variety of backdrop options for photos. Peninsula Park is only a couple of blocks away as well.
