“My husband and I were very happy to find photography in our budget through Yellow Paddle. I didn’t really interact with the company at all, but Mark and Santana were both excellent. Our primary photographer was Mark Whitrock. He did our engagement photos and our wedding. He suggested a beautiful location for our engagement photos and they turned out great. He used both film and digital which was not something we had an opinion on, but we really loved how the film ones turned out. Mark had good suggestions for posing and was also happy to try out our ideas. He was easy to get a hold of over text as well as having a phone call with us right before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page. He was respectful, approachable, timely and easy to work with. We love how the outdoor photos from our wedding turned out, they were true to life in style/color. He also caught some candid shots that I hadn’t thought of which were a nice surprise. Santana Garcia was our second shooter and his work is stunning. His editing style was not something I was particularly looking for but I’m in love with how the photos turned out. The style and lighting is beautiful and the vividness of red (our wedding color) still came through. I didn’t communicate with him directly before the wedding, but he was timely, easy to work with, and brought some of his own ideas which we appreciated. He caught detail shots at both the ceremony and the reception I hadn’t thought to ask for. Dancing was a big and important part of our reception and he did an amazing job capturing crisp, beautiful photos of people in motion in dimmer lighting. We had a panicked moment the night before where we realized we wanted the ceremony to be recorded (not edited or anything special, just captured) and Mark and Santana made it happen for us which was truly above and beyond their jobs and meant a lot to us.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. We hope to come back for future events and are so happy to have gotten married at Spruce!”

“I have to admit, I was hesitant to go with Petal Thyme because they don’t have a big online/social media presence but I’m so glad I trusted the positive Zola reviews and pulled the trigger. We gave Emma and Haley pretty much free rein over the florals for our wedding. I had some inspo photos and answered their questions, but pretty much the only concrete instructions I gave were that the color palate should be “rainbow but not like ROYGBIV” and that the flowers should be as local as possible, preferably from within 500 miles of Arizona. Even though I didn’t have a clear vision, the flowers were very important to me and I wanted a lot. We wanted sustainable flowers and they made sure to not use any floral foam and that the flowers went to good homes after the ceremony, in addition to sourcing the flowers locally like we asked. My only piece of feedback is that they could be a little more prompt to respond to emails, but it was no big deal. I never had to follow up or anything, just be patient! They absolutely made my floral dreams come to life, and within my budget too! I am so grateful for Petal Thyme and all the work they did to make our wedding so special.”

Celebrate Milestones & Create Cherished Memories with The Meadows! We are a homeowner's association with a rental facility known as The Grange, which is located 30 minutes between Denver and Colorado Springs. Opened in 2004, The Grange seamlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary amenities. Central aspects include natural light, grand ceilings, a bar and prep kitchen, a covered patio with heating capabilities, and a perimeter of garage doors for a free-flowing indoor/outdoor concept. Renting with us is “DIY” - We provide the venue, plus some amenities, and you bring it to life (no required vendors). Please note we are NOT an all-inclusive venue and our rates are HOURLY. “THE GOOD STUFF The Grange fit our needs really well for a 50 person baby shower. With the setup we chose, the room felt full but not crowded and allowed for ample room for people to move around. The fireplace added a nice atmosphere without making the room hot. The bathrooms and space were clean when we arrived. The Grange offers several table options which made it super easy for us to setup a kids zone, silent trivia area, and guest tables. Given that tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, it is fairly priced. A FEW BUMMERS While we wanted to have the garage doors open for an open-air feeling, it seemed that even the smallest bit of wind would knock over all of our decorations. Because we couldn't have the garage doors open, we did confine everything to indoors which changed our plans a bit with outdoor yard games as it wasn't super intuitive to go outside to the covered patio. We also would have liked to have been asked about the signage The Grange put outside. We had a co-ed baby shower but when we pulled up, the sign only listed the mother-to-be's name. Not a huge deal, but definitely could have been avoided. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS A few things to note that may be important to you: 1. All setup, teardown, and cleaning is YOUR responsibility. So, if you don't want to haul tables and chairs, take out the trash, and mop the floor, this venue is not for you. (Note: We were made well aware of this prior to booking so it isn't a surprise but definitely a big consideration as it cuts into your rental time.) 2. The microphone works well for the main room but is very difficult to hear in the "back area" where the restrooms and food counters are. 3. When working on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of getting event insurance as this is required and is an additional cost. (Again, we were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a surprise.) 4. No table coverings/linens/tablecloths are provided so be sure you factor this into planning and your budget.”

“Working with Megan with Tie the Knot was such a great experience. I have no words. I did most of the planning but wanted someone Day-of to make sure I wasn't worrying about everything. Megan helped plan our timeline, communicated with the other vendors, set up decor at both our ceremony and reception venues, helped clean everything up, and even took pictures during the day and shared them with us. One of the things that was so incredibly helpful was Megan made sure we were drinking water during the reception. It was such a small gesture that had such a huge impact on our night. Megan and Lynn were so sweet and took all the stress away. Our special champagne flutes were misplaced during the clean up and Megan made sure that we were able to track them down post wedding. “We had our wedding at Balistreri on October 26th, and it could not have been a more perfect day thanks to the venue and the incredible staff. Mattie and Katy made the planning process a breeze, helped us pick our food out, took our wishes and feedback into account, and truly just gave us everything we could have wanted out of this day. They're incredibly flexible to your vision but will provide input and thoughts when needed, ensuring that everything is set up for success. The food and the wine is INCREDIBLE. We got so many compliments all night and after the fact about the dishes (lamb, salmon, and risotto), the appetizers, the desserts, the late night snack, and especially the cabernet. They're also incredibly accommodating to allergies, working with us for our friends and family with dietary restrictions to make sure everyone is aware of ingredients. We attended a tasting event to try a variety of food options, and then had a private tasting to finalize our menu, where Mattie and the chefs sat down with us and helped us tailor our menu to our exact wishes. The set-up, bartending, and wait stuff were all top notch - making our day run incredibly smoothly. The inclusion of chairs, linens, flatware, etc. and catering in house was a huge draw for us in terms of ease of planning. They have some highly recommended vendors for entertainment and alcohol delivery, who are not mandatory to use, but who worked seamlessly with the venue to create an easy and low stress day. Lastly, the venue is absolutely beautiful. It is set up so naturally perfectly that we barely felt the need for additional decor. The garage doors being open between the ceremony and reception spaces allowed for such a seamless flow and natural feeling cocktail hour. Our event of 120 guests fit the space wonderfully. We got married right at sunset, late in the year, and were gifted with the most gorgeous weather. I truly cannot rave enough about how wonderful it was to host at Balistreri. We had the most magical day and could not have done it without this wonderful venue. The amount of personal touches and care they put into hosting your event shows why it is such a popular and well loved place.”

“We cannot thank Justin and Lesley enough for how special they made our entire wedding. The first thing that impressed us was Justin’s app that we could easily load music into from Apple Music or Spotify and how organized it was for what songs we wanted and when they should be played (e.g. open dancing, cocktail hour, father daughter dance, dinner music, etc). Justin handled all of the audio for our wedding ceremony and has an amazing wireless, battery-operated set-up so there is no need to rely on a generator, which was great since we were outdoors on top of a mountain! He had a mic on the lapel of the groom and our officiant so that I, as the bride, did not have to worry about wearing one and between the two mics all of the ceremony audio (speech, vows, etc) was picked up flawlessly. At the reception, Justin had an awesome set up that looked super clean and modern but also had fun lighting to get the party going.
