“One of the most important wedding elements for me and my now husband was the photography. We were immediately drawn to Amy's natural but bold, candid and fun style, as well as her transparent pricing. She was great to communicate with from the very beginning, answering all of our very detailed questions almost a year before our wedding even took place. And on the day itself? She was incredible! My husband and the groomsmen got into an accident on their way to the venue, which obviously stressed him out on top of significantly delaying our first look. Amy helped calm him down to bring him back to the moment and found unplanned pockets of time during the wedding to take some more pictures of just us. We were so impressed with how much she covered without a second photographer—even our guests commented on how she seemed to be everywhere at once! She has such a knack for capturing the fleeting, special moments, and for making people feel comfortable right off the bat. Finally, we were also amazed at the turnaround on the pictures. Amy had sneak peaks ready for us only 2 days after our wedding, and we had the rest about 5 1/2 weeks later. “A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.”

To put it plainly, photography brings me joy. Being able to capture a couple's wedding day through photos is something I view as sacred, important, and deserving of my deep attention. Photos are our only souvenir, so to truly tell a love story through photos requires effort, understanding, attention, and genuine interest. When I'm working a wedding, I'm not simply pointing my camera and clicking a button. I am focusing on every detail, moment (big and small), gesture, tear, expression, sequin, and shine. For that reason, I love to work with couples whose wedding vision I can connect to and who allow me to help them see it through.
