When I asked my photographer if there was anything I should know about working with Mountain Top Resort, she said, “Oh, you’ve struck gold with them.” At the time, I thought it was just vendors being kind to one another. Now, I know that we really did strike gold. From start to finish, Mountain Top Resort wanted to accommodate us. Before touring, I asked if their catering team would be open to an all-vegetarian wedding. They confirmed that it wouldn’t be a problem and even welcomed us to add additional meal options to their list so that we could incorporate our favorite meals into our day. The team was excited to take on a new task to help make the event feel like us. Leading up to the big day, email correspondence was quick and helpful. We asked a ton of questions, and we were never made to feel like a burden. In the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding, our coordinator Zoey let us know that our day-of coordinator would be Elizabeth. We were both a little nervous to switch from one coordinator to another, but it’s clear the team is just that: a team. Elizabeth picked up all the details and connected with us to make sure she had our vision clear in her mind. Right from the start of the ceremony rehearsal, it was clear she’d studied our choices! She cared about the details, and made sure our day was full of fun, joy, and support. When we forgot to bring our printed thank-you speech to reception, she said, “No problem, email it to me and I’ll print it right now.” When we weren’t able to finish our dinners, she packaged them up and sent them along to the house we were staying at. Elizabeth supported us without ever being overbearing. We both knew that the whole day was handled without us needing to worry about a thing, so we could focus on each other and our guests. We are so grateful we got to have you coordinate our wedding! Thank you, Elizabeth! Photo credits: Idena Beach (@idenabeachphotography) & Gabby Coughenour (@winding.roads.photography)

Hotel Champlain Burlington, Curio Collection by Hilton was an exceptional venue for our wedding. I love the Intervale Center, it is so beautiful! I knew that by choosing to get married there in July, we could really cut back on our decorations and let the landscaped grounds really shine. This venue is very conveniently located to Burlington, VT, but doesn't feel like you're in a city. It feels quiet and somewhat secluded. The rental/site fee was very affordable (and what you pay goes to a good cause!) and their guide book/post-booking-brochure is really helpful. They provide tables and chairs which are probably ample if you are having a small shindig, though you will likely want to cover the tables as they are not very pretty! Or you can always rent tables and chairs at additional cost. Most of what they offer is very DIY, so get some friends together (we set up in less than an hour with our friends). Our wedding here was pretty low-key with about 40 guests, but I think this could work for more formal gatherings too. My top of mind words to describe it would be "Pretty, local, affordable".
